If you give more weight to the words of the scientist than you give to God's words you are in plain error. God is sufficient witness. he is knower of the unseen and all knowledge belongs to Him. He makes known to man what he wills and nothing in the Heavens or in the earth is hidden from him.

The moon was split asunder, the moon was split in two, the moon is rent in twain...that was plain speaking from God. The moon 1400 years ago was split in half, whether you believe it or not won't change the fact. NASA images or not, Muslims believe it because it is God's words and God's words are Truth.

Read the Holy Qur'an and come back here if you find A LIE. Bring your proof that it is a lie.

004.082 Will they not then ponder on the Qur'an ? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found therein much incongruity.

Everything that God wants man to know is in the Holy Qur'an, all that his soul needs to be saved. But man is forever transgressing his limits and seek to defy God his Creator.

Its worth noting that that longest rile is ONLY 300 km. it does NOT extend the entire way around the moon, and riles exist in pretty much all rocky planets! Earth has riles as well...

The most important part is bolded above.

The riles DO NOT extend around the moon, therefore the riles cannot be evidence that the moon was split!

Have there been pictures from the other side? How can you say that the riles does not extend there?

The NASA photograph will serve to confirm to DISBELIEVERS only, but I guess if the disbelievers at the time of the Prophet Muhammad did not believe even when they saw it with their own eyes, what more the Disbelievers of today?

We believe in the Holy Qur'an as the Words of God because God is the AUTHOR. NOT MAN who can make mistakes and is fallible. The UNSEEN belongs only to God, and HE is the only One who can tell mankind of the Unseen if it is His will to do so.

The SPLITTING of the moon in half is One of the signs of the HOUR. There are some tidings of the unknown there of what the faith of the disbelievers in God's revelations will be on that Day.

For your premise to be valid, you need to show where the Quran is correct and science is wrong.

People who believe Nostradamus also do a similar trick with language to assume "proof". Their methods, as yours, are specious.

The miracles themselves, are not specific at all, what clerics do is re-interpret the Quran to fit modern day discoveries.

We do believe that Jesus turned water into wine or walked on water. Right? Although no material, concrete prove is around us. So why story of Mohammad is fake, unreal, myth? Why do u pple have double standards even in religion? I do believe in Jesus' miracles as much as I believe in Mohammad's because all prophets were links between God and us. I've often noticed people with an overt religious agenda attempting to shoehorn and superimpose their fantastical (and sometimes fanatical ) beleifs on science only to then claim that this somehow proves or validates something.

The abrahamic mythologies are positively littered with wild eyed accounts of talking animals,flying horses,witches,wizards,demons,magical trees,sticks turning into snakes etc..
If a person just wants to mindlessly accept this magical realism as
'actual phenomena' then good for them - just don't attempt to forcefully impose it on everybody else as 'fact' whilst abusing science in the process.

If it wasn't for the values of scientific objectivity and dispassionate rational analysis no doubt we would still be
wallowing around in the Dark ages embracing fearful ignorance and just unquestioningly accepting tales like these from 'all' the agenda based religious sects/cults.

Check the number of scientists worldwide who use their brain, they got PhDs, and check how many of them are converting on a yearly basis. Why are women abroad converting to Islam? Anyone to force them? If they are forced why didn’t they go to their governments? Marriage, fine then something is wrong with your culture? Why pick Muslims over Non Muslims?? Or now women are stupid after they convert?
Why is your financial system failing? The Shariah Complaint system never failed since 1400 years ago. Communism and capitalism failed... Haven't you watched the news and checked the number of analysts demanding their governments to apply the Shariah system even if they don’t apply Islam?

Scientists majoring in many fields from anatomy to astronomy converted. Those are irrational and you are the rational. Right?

I bet you never ever read the Quran in an objective way. I bet you take its sentences word by word without even knowing the meaning of the event verses refer too.

Can't blame you for such a mentality, you should write a petition for universities to deprive PHD holders from their degree since after they convert to Islam and check that what they studied and explored in the 21st century is already found in the Quran 1400 years ago...

I've read just about every single logical fallacy there is from the Muslims trying to defend these claims. Ad hominem tu quoque, argument from incredulity, no true Scotsman, strawman etc etc.

The ONLY thing these photos prove is that there are rilles on the moon.

LOL with all our scientific data and knowledge of physics this question is still asked. Knowledge comes to those that seek it. The moon only appeared to have split. Get a map of the moon and note a young crater in the far southwest. About 30N & 10W you can see the blast lines @ 45deg from center. Given the physics deep with a blob caldera the impact was @ a high angle heavy object. The blast lines reached 40+ degrees north. The shadow of blasted matter would have made the moon appear to have split.
