This is my very first post on ATS. And all I have to say is......

How did this discussion make it 13 pages? This guy just keeps saying the same thing, over and over and over, and it makes zero sense each and every time. I think it is for sure that he is just trying to piss a lot of people off, and doing very well it seems. But some threads should just die from the get go just out of utter ridiculousness (i dont even know if it is a word).

3 to 4 pages is understandable, but 13. Come on people.

An insect is a complex answer to a simple question: garbage control, in the case of ants. And bringing them extinction would be a simple answer to a complex question. Unfortunately, simple answers are rarely effective when managing planetary ecosystems.

When the dinosaurs were through doing their earthmoving thing, they were put back into the genetic library. No harm no foul.

But the Earth is more complex now.

So just trust us on this one; we need what is here, now. For now.

i often fought of doing this
but the other way round
Yes, i have considered the complete extinction of humanity
think about it, our only acheivements have been to better our own lives or correct our own mistakes.
Maybe not complete extinction but, enough to permenently disable our infastructure, to start from scratch.
that would be great, peace on earth, fianally

you might get your wish partially answered on january 29/29 this month.see the thread:asteroid 2007 tu24 has nasa concerned.this found on breaking alternative news discussion forum.
the san fransico zoo tiger incident turns out to be those 3 youths purposely antagonizing the poor tiger.i think they got what they deserved.the poor tiger payed for their stupidity.
i hope the survivors have to pay for a new tiger and for all the costs associated with the trouble they caused.

C-mon…you really care more about animals then you do for yourselves that you’d rather the human race die off, to better off a few lions and tigers and bears….oh my…..why don’t you tell every single innocent child on the face of the planet….they must die because the animals need some peace…… you’re talking about six billion people there…..

Dude, I can guarantee that I can make it through my life without dying from a bee sting, or a mosquito bite, or a spider bite. All I have to do is be careful and aware of my surroundings. This is how mankind has managed to survive thus far. Are you suggesting that we have some elite set of intelligent people think of a way to slaughter an entire species so that the stupid, careless or lazy members of human race don't have to worry about putting their foot in a shoe without having to look first?

Isn't that somewhat more counterproductive for mankind?

Almost silly....

I cant believe this pointless stupid thread is still going.

Maybe the title should change to "I'm a kid scared of spiders and snakes, i dont like them, oh maybe I could kill them all! Oh well I'll just get some attention by posting my silly little thoughts here"

Or maybe that would be a little bit too long.

And by the way "andre18", Are you sure you're 18? Hows that grammar going.......hey?........

Speaking of animal bites and stupidity, I saw this episode of Venom ER where this guy downed a bottle of snake venom because he figured that would make him immune to snake bites. Apparent the guy read a little bit about antivenom but failed to actually understand the bit about "small measured doses".

I was so hoping he would become a recipient of the Darwin Awards by the show's end, but alas the moron survived.

First of all you need to do a little reading in the area of ecology. Everything is connected. There is no "outside me" or "inside me" these are only labels that we create, boundaries that we draw. The same goes for "me" and "you" again labels that we have created. In the end your only killing yourself.

Well so can I, just rather not take that chance however small it may be…and kill off any threat hey may pose, incase on the one very small chance I’m allergic to bee stings as something that could kill me……did you know anyone could literally have a fatal allergy to bee stings, but no one knows until they’re bitten, so by the time you find out…it could very well be too late.. I’d rather not take that risk and kill them off just for that one chance…..

All I have to do is be careful and aware of my surroundings. This is how mankind has managed to survive thus far.

Yeah…but wouldn’t it just be easer not to have to deal with them every single damn day…..no more ants in the kitchen, or mosquito bites when you wake up in the morning etc….it just makes life that little but safer and easer…..

Are you suggesting that we have some elite set of intelligent people think of a way to slaughter an entire species so that the stupid, careless or lazy members of human race don't have to worry about putting their foot in a shoe without having to look first?

Well…..what’s the difference from calling the exterminators to fumigate your home from all types of annoying insects, to fumigating certain parts of the world of deadly insects…?

Isn't that somewhat more counterproductive for mankind?

Not if it’s for ourselves…….don‘t forget how selfish we are….that we go hunting for deer’s and bears that we don’t even eat…….but to just hang up on the wall…..

You're kidding right?

We don't own the earth. We're just one of it's inhabitants.

Erm. You do realise there is something called a "food chain"?
You know this thing eats that thing.
Hate to tell you but everything that mindkind just considers pests and worthless serves a purpose to keep the whole thing going, otherwords kill them off and mess the whole machine up, possibly making way for the extinction of mankind. Yes I assure you it could happen regardless how much a great many of us want to pretend otherwise.
Oh and snakes eat rodents which can spread human disease (IE see Europe's Black Death), get into and eat our food, contaminating what they don't eat ETC.

If you look at how we use the earth for our own cause....they way we control it, the very fact that we could generally destroy it with our atomic devices and such....you could say we are the general masters of this world.....what we say goes.....and so on relative terms......I'd have to say.....we do basically own the earth.....we do with it as we please.....the only reason scientists are interested in saving the earth, eg climate change, polar ice caps melting etc.....is because it affects us so servery....if you think we humans really care about the environment and it’s inhabitancies.....ask yourself why we dump our waist into the ocean.....why toxic waist has destroyed parts of china's waters......in some places you can't even swim.....

At my place we have foreign exchange students....most from Asian countries.....when we get Chinese people, they don't put their washing outside to dry because they think the rain is to dirty, because it's so polluted in the atmosphere where they live.....they don't understand it's not the same in every country......

NO NO NO NO AND NO!!! WE DON'T OWN THE EARTH, WE CANNOT DO TO IT AS WE PLEASE, WE ARE NOT THE MASTERS OF THIS PLANET.

We don't control the Industries we cannot tell them to STOP dumping toxic waste everywhere, organizations do their best to try and stop this madness. A LOT OF US DO CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, POWER IS IN THE HANDS OF A FEW!!

I'll tell you who has REAL power over ALL of us, you wanna know? THE SUN. It regulates the Earth's Geological and Weather patterns, and no matter how high and mighty you think the Human race is, NATURE PREVAILS. WE SIMPLY HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAMPER WITH SUCH CREATION.

WOULD YOU HURT YOUR OWN MOTHER? IF SHE IS ANY KIND OF INCONVENIENCE?

You make me sick, the end.

How much of an inconvenience…?

But seriously…............

“We don't control the Industries we cannot tell them to STOP”

Well….the people who run these industries are human….they are us…..they are the same people as you and me…..the government doesn’t care….they basically sponsor these things….and these industries who do as they wish to the planet…..do, do to it as they please…..the fact that the government doesn’t step in and does something about it……that it takes the passion of the public to finally do something about it means….that these greedy companies literally do believe they are the masters of the world…..that they own it....

Yes, exactly, THEY 'think' they are masters of the world. As far as their Humanity is concerned, they've lost it. I consider them NOT Human, simply because they act like animals, you get it?

It seems you want to join in with these corporate 'animals' judging from the question "What's wrong with purposely causing the extinction of animals?".

Whats wrong with purposely killing off annoying human beings that have no sense?

That sounds like a better thread, where people like you would be subjected to the killing of.
Seriously, you cant compare stuff like an extermanator killing a fwe bugs in your house to wiping out the whole species.
Kid, realise that things happen for a reason, if a species dies out, then it has happened for a reason, but it has happened naturally! Perhaps the said species aren't strong enough to survive, but others are and do survive. You need to stop with the whole hate speech.
I mean, I hate christianity, but I'm not gonna suggest throwing christians to the lions again. I'm just gonna sit back and leave them to it. Seriously, they annoy me to hell, with all their preaching and hypocrytical teachings.
But I learnt to just accept that some people aren't intelligent enough to realise the truth, and like you, when proof, facts and evidence is presented to them, they just ignore it, because they are too stubborn to accept that they are wrong or are just simlpy too ignorant to realise!

See what I'm getting at?

So your opinion is your own but perhaps it's time to admit that your opinion is wrong!
Be a man and earn some respect by sucking it up and admitting it.

T.O out.

OK guys, enough is enough. We've got 14 pages of troll feed here. Massive posts where people try their hardest to someone who doesn't even believe his own hype, but just wants to argue a silly point.

Think about this. In the time it takes someone to write a post arguing against Andre here, they could have written a post about something that matters in another thread, or done any number of other things.

I've lost interest in this, and I suggest the other posters do the same.

Andre, this isn't the way to get points. Try writing a post with substance.

I’ve already explained in previous posts that I’ve accepted being wrong in a few of my points…..So one…….I’m not being stubborn……and two……I’ve already admitted it….go back a page or two…..I’ve already also said…..if you really want to have this thread “sunk” then simply don’t reply…..common sense….. if someone asks me something….I’ll obviously reply…..

“it has happened naturally” …….when a bird makes its nest, i guess that's happening naturally, or is it manipulated by intention…..? when people 4000 years ago made their homes out of wood, was that happening naturally? when people today make a building is that happening naturally….? the answer is yes……we, like the birds building a nest, are building homes…….”human intervention” is nonsense…..just because we are smarter than every other creature on the planet, doesn’t make us any different from them……anything that we do is as natural as what they do…….

What’s the difference from an ape building its nest in the trees, to a cave man building his home….well…..in a cave….we are no different from them…except more evolved…..
If we are to wipe out a specific species…it would no different from say…..a lioness killing the last of a type of rodent…..
