People see lights.. and they also see differant color lights..

The guy hunting said he saw these colors.. "red, blue, yellow & white"

I was wondering.. what causes the lights to change color or why does it need to?

Whoever is controling the crafts, I would assume would not be using the byproduct of the lights as a form of communication.. so why do the lights exist?

there are three sorta things that can cause color spectrum, the colors can either be a continious or non-continious: blackbody radiation; photoelectric effect;and atomic spectra.

Most sightings take place near military bases or nuclear plants.. is this "craft" ionizing their fuel source?

Are the lights a by product of the "energy" source they are using.

What are the lights for.. this is what I'm wondering.. if it was a plane then we would see "blinking lights" and know why it's there on a known "craft".

Hi Wilbert,

we discussed this a way back in this thread. The simple fact is that if this is an "alien" craft we have no way of knowing what they might use visible-spectrum lights for. (Visible to us, that is...) We can conjecture all we like but any assumptions we make could well be wide of the mark in respect of the aliens' thinking.

I swear I had a girlfriend but James has set me straight. I had misinterpreted what I was seeing and experiencing and the money missing from my bank account that I thought I had spent on her was just an anonomly caused by the atmosphere. You see I'm not a trained observer in pretty much anything, so whatever I observe has always been my misinterpretation until James analyzes it and gives me the right answer.

You know what it reminds me of? It looks like a close-up of the bottom of a steam iron.

On the serious side, though, I haven't seen anything quite like this before in respect of UFO's, which for me, at least, increases the likelihood that the witness is not making things up. Attention-getters (who've actually seen nothing) rarely go for total originality; they prefer to "describe" what people more-or-less expect -- which is often what others have seen. (This is not only in the case of UFO's, either. It's just my general observation of such behaviour.)

LOL . . . yeah now that you mention it, it does look like a giant iron! Aliens travel millions of light years to get out those stubborn wrinkles. Sounds like a bad info-mercial.

What's crazy to think about is that this guy said the UFO was so big he couldn't see any sky, in that respect I think the pic gives a pretty cool perspective on what it would have been like to have been there . . . kinda creepy.

I have a new thread reporting a UFO sighting over Texas by a 2nd officer of a major airline tonight. The craft was huge, elontated octagonal, with a white light at each corner and red lights at the 10:30 and the 3:30 position (ie. quite unlike a conventional aircraft). It hovered under his jet for 6 to 8 seconds then departed suddenly. They were traveling at about 500 mph and the craft was non converging meaning that it was traveling at about the same speed and direction till it "took off"!

But here is the content concerning what we saw and heard at the MUFON meeting yesterday:


We finally located the sale barn only to find that the MUFON meeting had been moved to "downtown Dublin" (no address included on the paper on the sale barn's door). So we headed to Dublin to try to find it.

We were lucky (Dublin isn't that big) and located it quickly and managed to walk in just as one of the MUFON representatives had started talking. There were approximately 200 people in the small building and the PA system consisted of one portable speaker up by the speaker so it was a bit crowded and hard to hear. But things got surreal real fast. Within 2 or 3 minutes of being in the building I felt like I was in a real dramatic scene of a movie.

The MUFON rep was talking and said something to the effect of "We have several witnesses here today who have come to file their reports. Could you witnesses please acknowledge your presence?"

One hand after another went up...I counted to 12 and then looked across the crowd as the hands continued to go up.

The MUFON speaker then stated "Could you witnesses just step into this next room so we can begin the report taking?"

Somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the room exited into the adjacent room. It was truly dramatic.

Fretling and I made our way toward the front to get closer to the lone speaker and be able to hear the MUFON representative. There were a lot of reporters and camera men there, but only one group of guys could be identified...I believe they were from a FOX affiliate. The following are notes I took from the MUFON speakers' (there were two men there from MUFON who spoke):

MUFON rep stated it could take up to a year to complete investigation due to the number of witnesses. Stated it was the most significant mass sighting since 19(?). (Couldn't hear date given but I thought it was 1970 something.)

One of the witnesses who have come forward works for the Department of Justice.

Current Airforce explanation is that it was a mirage caused by two aircrafts heading in different directions. MUFON rep states it doesn't hold water due to the multitude of witnesses from vastly different perspectives.

Second rep:

He compares it to Phoenix sightings of 1997. They are approaching 100 witnesses coming forward. He referenced the type of witness they are dealing with by talking about an elderly couple who have lived in the area all of their lives. He stated when speaking with the gentlemen that he stated he had never seen anything like this, and then as he began to recount his sighting, you could hear the honesty and sincerity in his voice.

States Airforce spokeman that had previously stated a 99% certainty that the multiple commercial aircraft explanation was probably what had been seen has now retracted that statement.

Sightings that came in range in time from 6:15 pm to 4:00 a.m. the next morning. Sightings are coming in from weest of Stephenville/Dublin to as far east as Palo Pinto. There have been sightings since the original event.

When asked if there had been any reported injuries he said no, but then recounted a story where two witnesses were in a car and a bright light orb came directly to their windshield (never stopped) and then right in front of their windshield cut a 90 turn and sped off.

Fretling and I tried our best to eavesdrop and watch as witnesses were interviewed by reporters. We did not attempt to interview any witnesses as it was a bit chaotic and the MUFON people were attempting to get all written reports completed. But we did get to engage two witnesses with video/photo evidence.

One woman (who we could not speak to because she was totally surrounding by reporters and cameras - we actually had to stand in chairs to see her laptop screen) had recordings from a camera they have positioned on a deer feeder on their back property. She had videos from November 21, 2007 and January 4, 2008. She claimed that on the 11/21/07 videos there was a point that a beam of light shoots down from the sky, and then later footage of a deer standing there and then a light and the deer is gone. We never got to see that footage. She was wearing on my nerves because I found it very inconsiderate to come into a forum like this and tie up several reporters and not have the exact file and timetag you need to show...instead she was aimlessly running hours of video to try to find this footage...we walked a way for a bit and listened else where. However, there were some interesting points on the 11/21/07 footage we did see that had several seconds (this happened more than one time) where the entire picture seemed to "fog over"...Fretling got shots of these on her 35 mm. We'll post all 35 mm shots at a later date.

When we returned she was on the 01/04/08 footage. Fretling was not able to get to a vantage point where she could take pics, but I stood on a table to watch and there was approximately a minute of unexplainable footage on some of this video. A large white, perfectly circular "thing" suddenly came into the footage. It did NOT come from a distance and up to the camera, but came laterally into the video. It was very close to the camera and it was not translucent but TOTALLY white. It did not appear to have any diffusivity to its edges, but was sharp. It looked 2D almost. It moved around erratically and then eventually went off one side of the footage actually seeming to stop half off the frame for a couple of seconds before going off to the right. It was very odd.

We also got to talk to a truck driver by the name of Sean Kiel. He was on I-20 between Weatherford and Cisco on 01/08/08 around dusk when he took a series of shots on his cell phone. He showed them to us and even zoomed in on them and Fretling took some pics of these. What he caught was a rather large "firey object" that appeared to have a tail. There was a dark object immediately above the object and one immediately below the object. He believes they were chaser planes or escort planes. When I first saw the first pic it was zoomed in. To be quite honest I thought I was looking at a shot of a cloud immediately in front of the setting sun that was being made to look to glow from the sunlight coming through it. But then he zoomed all the way out to show us where the sun was - off frame to the right of the shot. It wasn't the sun behind a cloud. He also showed us a shot he took of the sky immediately after the object passed by. The sky turned from clear blue to purple after the object passed.

The interesting thing about this man is that he saw the object and the dark objects he thinks are planes, and was so impressed as to stop his rig on the side of the road and take these series of pics.

Fretling also got to listen in on an interview with a local man (she said was probably in his 40's). She said the man looked genuinely scared as he talked about the events. She said he was visibly shaken and nervous as he recalled things.

We have a lot of pics taken by Fretling on her 35 mm, but we'll have to wait and get them developed and scanned.


We are both very glad to get to attend the MUFON event as it was very impressive to see that many people acknowlege they had seen something.

This Dallas article states there were up to 500 people in the building and almost 200 people came forward to give their stories.

Now, there weren't 500 people there while Fretling and I were there, but the MUFON rep did say they had the building for 4 hours. So the "200 people" who are reported to have come forward may have happened over the total 4 hour period. And that would be verifiable by the written reports taken. But I can't verify that 500 number....there weren't that many people there when we were there.

There is nothing in the links that state the UFO was 300ft above ground. That was in ANOTHER sighting that one guy says he can "come forward" with after the Stephenville sighting (the 300ft part was in Dublin).

Personally I find the information very weak at best. Such a large UFO with supposed lights and dozens of witnesses, yet no one describe it consistently. Some says "bouncing around" lights, others claim a couple, some say crosses, etc. Some reports doesnt even mention its size, which would be the first that awe you.

I was in the same boat as you but then i thought there are so many things in the universe that our minds cant comprihend, is it so hard to believe that this craft can have lights that can go at any frequency,size or pulse and dance around?

perhaps the craft assuming it is an alien craft. has a cloaking mechanism. that you can only see if you are directally below it... and if it was just hovering there. its not a "Random" event, its there for a reason, the being piloting the craft planned the voyage. they were studying something. maybe testing us. doing surveilance. it could be possible? but i think maybe be may have over exagerated the size of the craft. but ive also heard people comparing this event to the Phoenix lights in 1997. i was hearing that it could be the same craft. (i know the phoenix lights were said to be "flares" but ive seen flares go off, its not the same). Id love some information on this event, i have a feeling that the sightings in texas, the sightings on new years day and the sightings in singapore and bermuda are something special. this is happening right now. if true. perhaps we are about to witness something world changing. if they show up too often. there is no way the government can cover this up and we may finally know the truth?

but yes it is only eye witness testimony. but apparently 3 dozen people in texas have witnessed this and people are reporting sightings in bermuda and singapore. it siad to be the same type of craft.

Yes...many, many thanks for posting this info. It sounds like there were more than just a few dozen witnesses -- and that's just the ones who have come forward. Considering that there are bound to be some people who (for whatever reasons) don't wish to "get involved" by giving statements and attending meetings and so forth I'd guess there are a quite a few more. And now we also know that some locals have other photographic evidence of odd events in the district as well.

Looking forward to seeing copies of the pics you guys took of the pics...

Would like to add that one of the MUFON reps stated that a number of what they consider their more important witnesses did NOT wish to attend the MUFON meeting because they did not want the media attention (for instance, the elderly couple referenced were not there as far as I could tell). So, yes, these were people who had NOT yet filled out the formal report form and were okay with coming to this event to get it done.

Fretling and I actually discussed the impact of an event like this happening in a rural area versus a large city like Phoenix. There is a sense of community in an extremely small town (I estimated Dublin to be around 5000-6000 people and Stephenville had a posted population of just over 15,000) that will not come into play in a large city. For instance, when Bob hears that Fred, who he has known his whole life, has come forward and reported the sighting, Bob will report his sighting as well because he isn't going to let Fred hang out there. So I believe I high population of witnesses will tend to come forward in this rural area in support of their fellow neighbors who have witnessed.

I have great confidence in the locals giving everyone a true account of what they saw. Truth still has great meaning in rural Texas.

I was at Jake and Dorthy's Cafe saturday morning when the news crew did the shoots. I found it to be very selective. I can tell you that there was one man there that came from out of town that I spoke to that is has request under the information of freedom act to retrieve flight plans for all miltary flights, I spoke to him for a few moments outside the cafe.

I can tell you he is a very serious proffessional gentleman in his late 60's, and I could tell this was not his 1st rodeo by any means.

The gentleman did get interviewed by coming up to the reporter and stepping in front of the camera then began talking.
He did make it on the KTVT 11 newcast.

I did ask if he was with MUFON or some similuar orgainization and was told no. He did tell me and gave me his business card and email address but at this time I cannot disclose his name or his association.
I will be in contact with him.

My perception was that the reporter was very selective.
Trying to only get interviews with men with cowboy hats and boots on and a goofy waitress that has a minimum education at best, simply promoting the cafe.

I was never asked to speak as I sat right next to the reporter.
Not sure that I wanted to be on the news.
I would have gave an off camera comment though.

There were some there that did witness events and were not about to discuss it. Several left because they did not want to be on televison.
Jake and Dorthy's is an very old establishment opened June 12 1948.
Not trying to plug it just a fact.
Everyone goes there or has been there.

What I have heard and to the best of my understanding is...
There were *Multiple sighting of several different objects on many different days over a vast area surrounding the Dublin/Stephenville, TX area.*

Some will talk others will not. Some like the publicity others are scared, worried about repercussions with associations to these events.

God, Government, or Extraterrestrial?
I believe there will be more future events to come in this area.

DYESS AFB, CARWELL AFB, COMMANCHE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, 100's OF DAIRY FARMS, CATTLE RANCHES, VAST RURAL AREA.

Perhaps the truth is out there.
