Personally, I do believe in a sort of hell. Not any Christian Hell, and nothing with flaming hellhounds. My personal philosophy incorporates a bit
of the insights of David Hume who believed that the concept of mythological beings being reminiscent of known human ideas in and of itself proves
their non-existence and their being a product of human imagination. So the hellhound idea was made by someone who knows the fear of trying to enter a
neighbor's yard without permission, and incurring the wrath of the guard dog.
If there was any sort of hell, in my opinion, it would be something that we have no concept of now, and probably won't know until we actually make it
there. Demons are the same. A demon is only as evil and scary as we feel they are, so if you met a demon that you weren't afraid of, it's no demon
of your's.
