If Aliens Attacked Earth It Could Be A Good Thing

The truth of the matter is that we have been given advanced technology but only to a certain extent. We shall not be allowed to venture into deep space until we have matured enough as a civilisation.

Any 'evil' aliens that plan to attack Earth will have to reckon with the 'good' ones IMHO. Probably this is already happening with all this recent stuff being reported, like giant spaceships circling Saturn, huge Spaceships/Satellites circling the Earth, missle like launches from the dark side of the moon directed at Mars, mass UFO sightings, etc, etc.

As someone said already, if they wanted to wipe us out we would not be posting here today. They shall keep on monitoring us (as they have already done for thousands of years) till such time that we could become a threat to 'them'. Then they might give us a little slap across the wrist for being too nosey .

As for all this talk about evil aliens against evil humans, well, there still exist some good folk out there and over here too you know so unless a madman decides to fire a few nukes out into space I don't think we need to lose any sleep over it. We have more pressing, earthly matters to attend to right now !

Pericle, have you ever seen the movie "the day the earth stood still?" that sounds exactly like the message Klatu delivers at the end of the movie,that we will be bottled up here in the zoo until we calm down and even then the robot police will zap us if we do act up; but i disagree,for i seriously doubt that most space-faring species will not have a savage side to ensure preservation of their species in the face of other cultures.

the human is fierce in battle,the will to survive is strong when triggered,but not all of us here have the desire and drive to dominate; but history shows that complacency will fall in face of great desire and ego-driven self-righteousness; we can exist without total savagery,but always must be ready to put a boot in the tail of any that step on our toes; therefore the alleged efforts by those aliens purported to be here to control us thru implants and chemicals in our food chain makes more sense,for we as a species have a tendency to throw off the chains placed upon us with a vengenace, and they are very aware of this. thoughts?

Really! Any race capable of travelling across space (faster than light to be an effective attcking and thus occupying force) clearly has the ability to zap us from space without us lifting a finger

I'm actually really, REALLY wanting one of these prophesised events to take place (Eg. 2012, Planet X, etc.). I think it would kick alot of the human race square in the nuts and hopefully unite us.

I have seen this phrase a few times on here and I disagree with it in so many ways...You do not have much faith in our race do ya???

What if they do not need to travel they could be in our back yards,Also what if we really do have technololigies above what most of us really do know about??? I think we would have a better chance in a war than we give credit for personally...And I would see no reason why an alien attack would happen if all they wanted was to blow our planet up I would think they would want to have some type of reward whether it would be to make us slaves or to lay claim to our resources...And no I do not believe for a second that the NWO or the devil or whatever would go to the trouble of that kind of deciet just to take control....

Yea it would be a good thing. As long as they weren't terribly far ahead of us in weapon technologies, in which case well we would be:
1) dead
2) inslaved and once they figure out we make crappy slaves then dead

People would forget their differences in the face of such glaring differences. For as long as the threat is percieved. Then we'd probly revert back to the same old BS.

I dont know I would like to think that if we unted in a scale like that it wold have to put some kind of affect on the world that would force it to change for better or worce....I doubt oil would be top priority after it was over...

If they wanted to kill us, they would have so it thousands of years ago.

We are not better humans than the previous generation. Just have have better communication systems.

My opinion: We are left alone for fun. Tourism.

I really don't see an alien force like some Hollywood movie just showing up & putting us down with their superior technology. Why when they don't need to?

While there would likely be both good & bad alien races coming into contact with us likely they would not need to use brute force when they could just come in silently & do as they wish behind the scenes - until such time their presence is revealed.

They could just overlay their mind control on top of our current media without us even being aware of it.

It is possible they are already here and doing as they wish with or without some of our knowledge or consent. Those who would be in that knowledge would also know that it might not be in the best interest of the general population to have such knowledge. There would likely be some living amongst us and even if they were doing damage to mankind - the threat of widespread damage beyond the curent could create chaos and a full blown war where many more would parish. That would be enough to keep those who are currently in the know silent as they know being silent may be helping millions survive.

Likely they would approach certain governments of earth and trade a little tech for whatever resources on earth they felt the need to acquire. They would then hide behind the scenes with their trade deals & slowly take control of the world one government at a time. Either deal with them or lose your power to the next party willing to deal with them in silence if there not interested in your government they will just bully you with the more powerful governments they control.

We might just be a resource to them & in order to keep the status quo - those who discover them - just as quickly discover why it is so important to keep silent. Break the silence & your child may never make it to college and our collective innocence of the universe will become lost forever once our reality in it becomes revealed . Sometimes it's better for all not to know the truth if the truth crushes your current reality to the point that you can no longer function.

You make a few assumptions though.
1) Overt warfare could be a cultural thing they like.
2) Too lazy to do it the sneaky way or prefer a quick resolution.
3) Who's to say their minds would work like ours, so how could they use "mind control" on us given the fact they are different and their tech most likely would be geared towards what they knew of or?
4) Three words "Shock and awe".
5) Many other reasons. I am too lazy to type in.

I don't make any assumptions.

I'm just trying to get you to think enough to understand that there are so many possibilities, that you could be under control and already conquered without even having the knowledge that you are.

Think about it - Wouldn't more oil be flowing & less bombs be going off in Iraq right now if we somehow had control over there without a physical presence. If we had that kind of power or technology beyond their level of knowledge of Iraqis we could, but the fact of the matter is were only a few years ahead of them tech wise & they are very aware of us.

Wouldn't it be better to empty the safe without anyone being aware it is open.

If we were like an ant hill to an alien race - would we be aware of the freeway being built that will cover our mound in ten years? No shock an awe needed my friend - we wouldn't be aware enough to be awed.

Nah I am one of those that think alot of religeon would disappear along with disclosure of alien beings...And an attack would go along those lines....I am sure the NWO questions would arise but if it were proven the aliens were real that would go away aswell....I think alot of doubts and arguements would disappear....

Reread my post. You state you are not infact doing what you then proceed to do. You are making assumptions. Live with it.

It's your simplistic assumptions that the human races is somehow the top dog. It is beyond the imagination of most that there may be races so far beyond us, that they study us as we might study a salmon in a stream. The salmon is not even aware of the dimension we live in because we exists in a dimension beyond its knowledge and it can only swim in its dimension where the water allows it to go. Though we can enter it's dimension and effect it's population & use it as we see fit, it is likely completely unaware of us and if we want to harvest them or mine gold from their stream we do- no shock an awe needed - we know their thoughts & tendencies & use that knowledge to harvest them as we see fit and keep the population alive for our own purposes.

Again, I allow for all possibilities - whereas you want to box everything up in a simplistic way and compare it all like cowboys & Indians, Star Wars, or Arabs & Jews.

No offense - but I relish the time when I was as ignorant of the possibilities.

Once again reread my post and see what I SAY and not what you want to wish I said. Considering the fact you are mentally stuck (obviously) on how I started the post. I in NO WAY stated how such an invasion would take place, I merely pointed out the flaws in your stated possibly which is also I might add a popular one on this forum and hardly of your own creation (I am sheeple indeed? Right.).

You say this is the way it would happen. Then take it into the fifth dimension by breathing volumes into what I am saying then you proceed to climb on your high horse, well guess what you need to get off your high horse and yourself.
