Some kind of debris or dirt blown against the camera lens, stuck for moment, then got blown off. The halo effect is just similar to if you wore glasses, then saw something on the lens. It's the momentary loss of focus...

Don't get me wrong, I know that in most of my posts so far, I sound like a skeptic, but I'm just usually careful about initially jumping to the wrong conclusion. After having a sighting (still my only one to date) that was quite clear, and witnessed by about 40 other kids (I was a kid at the time), I certainly have my beliefs.

This black thing had been there for an hour almost. I don't think if it was a UFO it would be sitting there for an hour. The sun seems like the best answer.

Mountainstar, when you see a bogey on the camera why don't you just go to where the cam is and see for yourself???

(And clean the lens if it's just dirt...)

Did you guys notice that it seemed to stay perfectly stationary? Such as, the Earth was turning slowly, but the object did not move. I guess this depends if the camera is facing south or not. Maybe it is a tiny black hole .

It's probably just an insect, or a snail, or something like that. Because the focus of the lens would be set to see further away, anything on the lens or within several feet would just be a blur (as this is); if it has any antenna or legs, they won't be caught in the image for the same reason. The dark spot means that you're seeing (obviously) the side against the lens, which isn't getting any light.

There's a mountain between me and Area 51. I couldn't see it from my backyard. Either the object was too low or it's bird poop! If I thought it was the Mothership I would take the trek to the base. I don't chase them they come to me.
