I think what's going on with people and the whole 2012/Nibiru/Planet X/Armageddon thing is that the world is growing SO rotten that this type of thing gives them hope for a better future. I don't begrudge anyone hope.

I've read some theories that humans already inhabit planet X. Because of its orbit, it passes Earth only once every few thousand years. Odd how its coming appearance is at the end of the Mayan calendar.
I've read that when Planet X comes close to Earth, our "brothers" will come and take us home. Is this possibly what has happened to past civilizations that vanished without a trace? The Mayans? The Egyptians? The Atlantians?
Guess we'll find out soon.
"The mechanism for producing such cyclical climate changes is still under discussion; but they are most likely caused by variations in the solar wind and associated magnetic fields that affect the flux of cosmic rays incident on the earth’s atmosphere."
Really? Any links to where we might find these theories? Anything substative at all. As I've posted just above - you must have missed it - there is no evidence that the Mayan's foresaw the end of the world, or of any link to 2012, or of any coming appearance by anything at all. So I'm troubled by the certainty with which you predict it. Based on nothing at all.
