Can We have Mod elections?

I got this idea from an another thread. I think we should have one election, just for the heck of it, there are enough members here for an election.

Say the restriction should be something like the people who have been posting on the site for more than 6 months can vote in return for 1000 points or something.

What is the point? We get to choose who moderates us. Ain't that good?

In a way its sort of a good idea but then we have enough Mods already.

Well look at the rate new members are joining the board, it is sky rocketing. Look at the new members posting now, before a thread used to be in the top Recently post for 3 minutes with one reply. Now within a second it is at the bottom.

And most of the new members haven't even started posting yet. Already ATS quality is on a downhill.

But do we need more Mods though? i dont understand your point the Mods we have now are coping just fine i guess.

I am saying more mods mean less work for current mods.

And it would be fun to see members persuading us to vote for them. Don't you agree?
