True, but Clifford Stone only requested the documents, whether or not he played 'join the dots' with the papers is another matter as this seems to be what Springer and Crakeur have done with these documents. Perhaps the information was there all along, except no-one had noticed it before...

What do you think the documents contain, any theories?

Is there anyway, if the documents are as 'smoking gun' as some might think, that the governent might just say

'hey, that's it guys, you got us, here's what we know so far'

Sorry to hear about your girlfriend's low opinion of you.

Perhaps she's just judging you based on the company you've been keeping...

Namely, Us

Welcome to the Nutter-Regions!

If these documents contain some version of a "Smoking Gun", the evidence would, I assume, point to something the military/government itself has determined to be "Not of This Earth".

That would, by nature, exclude anything explicable as a heretofore unknown natural phenomenon (swamp gas, ball lighting, etc.), and anything that could have been manufactured using the best, most advanced technologies available at the time.

As far as the compilation of these documents forcing some version of Disclosure...Kinda depends on how well the expose is handled, and more importantly...

How much "Air-time" the facts revealed are given.

If the story airs and is forgotten, the Powers That Be wiill sweep it under the proverbial rug.

If the story is picked-up by secondary and even tertiary sources, say from TV to Cable to Internet and wire services straight away: then we may have something the gov't boys will have to answer to.

I'm wondering if/how what the military/government knows is affecting thier handling of the recent sightings in Texas...

Especially with regard to that "1000 foot long craft" over Mr. Sorrell's(sp?) woods!

Yes, it certainly seems that it all balances on the media coverage issue.

Do you think if the government is put in a situation like this, literally, where they can't deny whats on paper. that they will try to deny it anyway; pass it off as forgery perhaps..

These are pretty crafty people after all..

If they are smart, thier first reaction will be to ignore the allegations.

If public pressure mounts, thier next action will be to try to discredit the findings; most likely by claiming that "additional information" (presumedly contained under the cover of those blacked-out sections of the FOIA documents) would "provide a thoroughly rational and mundane explanation" having nothing to do with "Space Aliens"

Unfortunately, That information is STILL considered too sensitive to be released as it would jeopardize National Security.

This action would most likely coincide with various "back channel" extortions to dis-credit the originators of the the compiled report (the ATS team and Mr. Stone) as un-reliable, unstable, spot-light seeking potential hoaxers, in a likely successful effort to scare away any other media types who might be curious enough to investigate the report further.

Key documents would then, mysterously, become "Unavailable" or "non-existant; giving rise to rumors that the compilation was, perhaps, "nothing more than yet another "sophisticated hoax".

And thus, the conspiracy would continue!

Just like that, in a vicious circle of conspiracy.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that, i would like to see ATS have even a little success with this venture; the whole thread has got all my imaginative gears cranked to the max in anticipation!!

I wonder what the status is of the FOIA information news show presentation that is the smoking gun? It troubles me that a couple of others over the years have released information alluding to a government UFO or ET coverup that was based on FOIA documents. Those documents and those presentations seem to be long forgotten, so I hope the ATS crew does better.

Crakeur and Springer gave us a little update on the last page i think; seems that some of the MSM outlets passed and some have requested more time with the information!

the last of the groups we presented this too passed late yesterday. This round was the closest we got to getting the information on the air and I think part of the issue was timing. The season for the shows we tried to book were pretty much set and done, making it harder to get the story on the air.

That said, we have a second a third tier of media outlets we'll begin pitching soon and, hopefully, we'll fare better. Unfortunately, at the moment, we have two major things keeping us from moving fast on this front.

One - I am about to be buried in work at my paying job and that will come first. I manage to give a hell of a lot of my time to the site but, being in finance, that means the season of tax hell takes the front seat.

Second, we've got something else brewing that will be taking up a large amount of our focus and attention but, once we get this done, getting our docs on tv might be a bit easier.

As always, more to come as we know it.

aww...come on Crakeur, cant you give us something to chew on in the mean time?

I remember Springer and you saying the reason you couldn't give any details of the findings in the documents was, because the top tier media outlets wanted a total exclusive. will these 2nd and 3rd tier outlets demand the same. this is getting pushed to the back burner. im suspecting because of the 911 lb gorilla project maybe?

some of us have been waiting a long time for this stuff to come out. what if we
real big and ask pretty please?

A bone? Lemme think....Well, the top tier news magazines on the three big nets passed (ABC, NBC and CBS) for a variety of reasons. Not compelling enough, no space in the schedule etc. We're moving to shows that are more likely to air the strange and the odd for entertainment purposes over newsworthyness. That doesn't mean the story is diminished, just more appealing to their audience. Springer and I were expecting the bigs to pass but we had to give it a shot, which we did.

The focus will now be put on the overall collection and what it shows, not just the specific docs we were originally working with. The overall approach now is not a specific gov't operation but the FOIA docs in general, the process of collecting them, the posting of the largest free collection of FOIA docs on the web, the man who requested them and the site where anyone can see them, along with member commentary, for free. We will, of course, push the original focus.

That is another project we're actively working on but that's not what I was referring to. If all goes as planned, we should be making a major announcement in the next few weeks. Major as in press release etc. It will be big. That much I can promise you.

I'd love to tell you all. I really would. I truly think that, once we post these docs online, our members will take what we have found and manage to find even more connections than we did. What would be best would be if we popped these docs up and let you guys and gals see them as I did, without any guidance towards the actual thread that we found. Mark was heading to Roswell to view these docs and he brought me along as his skeptic. If I was convinced, he figured we had a story. Cliff just handed us different docs and said very little. Mark and I both started seeing things with little provocation and we saw what Cliff wanted us to see. To be able to watch the members find the common thread as we did would be exciting.

One way or another, we'll get these things out and to the biggest audience possible.

I don't know; the more time that goes by, the more it seems like a waste of time trying to get this on TV.

I say, grab a camera, do up a 1 or 2-hour video, throw in some of your other best evidence collected over the years - and plaster it all over the Internet.

Create a big enough buzz on the Internet, get enough people talking about it - then maybe, MAYBE, MSM will consider showing it on TV.

But, again, if they can't even get the 2001 Disclosure Project press conference shown in its entirety on TV - then what chance does this have, really?

Here's another thought: guys like Bassett and James Fox seem to have a knack for getting on TV and openly discussing the UFO issue lately - maybe you could get those guys to throw a curveball and mention this on TV during one of their appearances?

Another thought: EXOPOLITICS RADIO.

Maybe Webre would be willing to do a show on this....

I will hazard a guess...most people will not be quite prepared for the outcome...

(ie. it isnt what most here think..... )

Its may be a legal matter at this point and all you can do is wait.

All my respect to the researchers whom have spent countless, tedious, hours pouring over documents and data. Thank you all.

nothing legal standing in our way. the issue is simple. the first round of folks didn't want to do the story for various reasons. our reason for, possibly, holding off on round two (the pr guys want to push it now by the way) is because, as mentioned, we've got something big to work on first and this project will, when started, provide us with more clout, a bigger audience and more probability of being put on the air.

Don't know if it would help, can't promise anything, but...

I am familiar with (He recognizes me by sight, knows my name) the local ABC affiliate news anchor.

(We got him addicted to firing off high-power hobby rockets in the NV desert some years back
)

He's won at least one Emmy (thanks to a news story he did on our group), and he aired a story on the rather obscure Japanese "Balloon Bomb" attacks on the US during WWII.

In other words, even though he is local, he has some clout, a good reputation, an interest in space-related topics, and a tatse for the unusual.

Pitched correctly, with good documentation, he might be willing to do a piece. That might then get picked up nationally, with a bit of "pushing" on his part?

Just suggesting that, sometimes when they bolt the front door, they leave the garage unlocked...

I don't think you want This kind of story in any way associated with an Entertainment program;

Diminishes the importance and calls into question the veracity of the "documentation".

while we appreciate the offer and, perhaps, might one day want to use the contact, at the moment we are seeking a national outlet from the get go. With these news shows, if it aired somewhere, it ain't breaking news.

Rest assured, the shows in our second and third tier lists aren't entertainment shows (ok, letterman, kimmel, stewart and ferguson are). they are, simply put, not as respected in the news arena as 60 minutes.

for example, The Today Show is on our second tier list. Certainly news but with a sampling of life that goes beyond "hard news" if you will.

with the second round attempt, we will reach out to all of them and see who wants us, no exclusives as this is more a celebration of the overall collection of docs.

Best of Luck!

Only problem with "Today", "Good Morning America", etc. is that they're on So Darn EARLY!

It's the wait thats going to kill me in the end I swear.
But, if this is going to be done, it might as well be done correctly, I have every faith in the ATS staff to pull this one off; one way or another.

This is an amazing thread but I wish I had found it 6 months down the track so I wouldn't have to wait to see the documentation alluded to.

Incidentally, I know this is unlikely, but does the timing of this have anything to do with FOI on NASA going on at the moment too? Last I read on that they had been given a last warning on coughing up the right documents.

Thanks for the great info ATS and Clifford
