The U.S. is not the only villain here. It's Russia that has threatened another arms race. It's Russia that wants to put its troops back on the European borders. It's Russia that keeps calling us evil. It's Russia that is acting more and more like the Soviet Union every day. It's Russia that still treats anything NATO as a personal threat.

Putin needs to come join us back here in realityland, where the Cold War is considered to be over. It seems like nobody considers Russia to still be the evil Soviet Union except for him...

Russia can cry all they want, so can America, but when it comes down to it. will it matter? Lives will be lost and minds gone. Just another halt in the space exploration to me!! Killing each other on our on planet will not solve our survival.

Its just another arms race and build up back to old times. As they say history always repeats itself, although this time I think the battle ground will be who will control space.

And its not russia alone that has to share the blame for this. Everyone was happy and all was good until the US started with the missle shield, and abandoning treaties.

Being honest I cannot blame Russia from wanting to stop the growth of the so called superpower that is America.

They are not too far from the truth when they refer to America (or at least the Government) as evil. America is responsible for millions of innocent deaths via bombs, napalm, bullets etc...

I am glad Iran, Russia and China are standing up to these bullies in power and I only hope the US learns from its mistakes.

I say yes to Russia building counter measures, cos if the Yanks wanted to build missiles anywhere near me, then I'd be worried that these greedy, corrupt liars are there for their own agenda and not for a defensive shield.

Just like your telling the other people: your biased opinion, you can't prove it, and don't throw links at me and call them sources because to me sources are not the TRUTH unless you were there to see it happen, all you can do is construct an OPINION from sources.

My opinion is opposite to yours and that does not mean I am wrong because I have my own reasons as to why I believe that europe has done more for america then vice versa.

you do know that this is a ground based weapons defense system
and has nothing to do with space except maybe communications.


There is a facility located at or near Edwards air base and another facility at Fort Greeley Alaska there are more I am sure somewhere but I do not know where. There have been problems at both locations particularly in Alaska where several of the silos flooded after a heavy rainfall...

Boeing blames the military and the military blames Boeing I say blame Bechtel as they are the construction company that built it for Boeing.

at any rate we have invited the Russians to take part in this system publicly
and privately but they have not accepted ironically this system has a very slim chance of ever working properly as it depends almost entirely on getting to the ICBM that is being targeted before it enters the boost phase most scientist agree that this is highly unlikely.. even at smaller distances it is not like a grenade where you can sorta hit your target it is all or nothing..

Anyway just a little background information before everyone goes into a panic..

I'm an American. I've given my opinion of my own country as I see it. I'm pretty sure my opinions are covered by the First Amendment. Apparently, some of my fellow Americans don't believe I have the same rights as they do. They label my thoughts about my nation "propaganda".

Business as usual in "the land of the free" and "the home of the brave", as long as you're armed and waving the flag.

Incidentally, nice cheap shot at our European members with respect to Hitler's bit of history. We weren't living on his doorstep. We have no business judging their actions under those conditions.

If the USA stopped policing the world (parenting) it wouldn't be 5 years before every European country and their brother would be begging us to come back. Of course by that time you all would be praising Allah.

Jbondo, it has always been that way. People want to blame the anti-American sentiment on Bush... Horse puckey. This is something that has been going on for as long as I have been keeping up with world events, whcih was probably 7-8 years of age. So, it has been going on for the last 20-25 years I know. People who are older than I am say that it has been even longer than that.
