The levitating man on the side of the building is fishy. Maybe if he had levitated to his position and back down again it would have been more believable.

The Chris Angel levitation is bizarre. That would be very hard to hoax unless everyone in the scene was involved, and the levitation was added later using CGI. I don't see him resorting to a modified crowbar to perpetrate this illusion.

Also, if you watch the Chris Angel levitation video on this thread there is definitely something in the sky behind him. It appears in three different shots, and looks like [I hate to say it] a flying saucer; again, it was probably added in post production to further confuse us.

Cheers

This thread is about the leviation outside the Whitehouse, there is a thread dedicated to Criss Angel :

Criss Angel Discussion

Leave Criss alone! *sobs uncontrollably* You people don't stay on topic! You just take and take and take!

Seriously though, this thread is about Ramana and his craptacular feats of magic.

Seeing as your side got representation in this thread, I will speak for the "debunkers/deniers" side.

If you read the Criss Angel thread, you will see that there are two sets of beliefs about him: the first says that he uses paid witnesses and props that are edited out of the films afterward. The fact that not ONE witness has EVER come forward to claim such payoffs or cooperation means nothing to them.

The fact that not ONE witness has ever come forward INDEPENDANTLY to claim he had no props, it was all real means nothing to you.

Secondly, we were able to show, with "youtube video evidence" instances where supposedly "random" fans choosen from the audience, were actually used in previous illusions. The FACT that these people were used in multipule illusions, at different times, in different cities ment nothing to you. You casually brushed it off as an obsessed fan.

The fact that there are NO props visible and no proof of their existence means nothing to them.

The FACT that we showed, with "youtube video evidence" that Criss Angel doctored at least one of his levitations (building 2 building) ment nothing to you. The FACT that a member on our side (pavil) had witnessed a similar trick (swallowing quarter and having it travel up the arm) by a different magician ment nothing to you.

The fact that not one other person on earth has ever replicated his feats under the same conditions means nothing to them either.

See above.

The fact that he has never had an employee or associate claim any subterfuge or allege any payoffs or props means nothing to them.

The FACT that no employee has ever come forward to claim what CA does is the real deal means nothing to you.

As for the OP, seems to me to be asked and answered. Just an illusion that amazed a local crowd, but theres nothing special about him.

Thats right, we must prove we are not beating our wives!! We must get all our neighbors to come forward and state that they have never heard any screams from our house, and the police dept. to state that no reports have been made about abuse, and the onus lies on US to prove a negative. We are supposed to have an AFFIRMATIVE response to disprove a contention made without any basis! Thats the entire logic behind the debunkers: Prove that it is real by having people come forard to DISPROVE the false allegation!! That is NOT logical and NOT sensible.

There has NEVER been ANY evidence whatsoever shown that proves that he uses props in his high levitations, and not ONE person has EVER, over the entire career of the man, come forward to say that there is monkey business used. But the deniers always fall back on the convoluted logic of turning the logic around and demanding that those who have never seen such props or mon key business come forward and make a proclamation!! insane!!

We are ALL guilty of anything that someone in denial believes unless WE DISPROVE the allegation: That makes it a lot easier for those who have no proofs or evidence to turn the attention away from the facts and onto the suppositions, a hallmark of the deniers creed: Make false and totally unfounded claims and allegations, and when challenged to present evidence, just claim that it is the ACCUSED that must present evidence that he is NOT guilty!! Thats like going into court and having a judge say that unless you can DISPROVE the cops allegations, you are guilty!! That is NOT the way it works: The accuser MUST present evidence supporting his claims, instead of demanding that the accused prove their innocence.

It is a backward, phony and spuriopus way to examine anything, and the FACT that not ONE human being has replicated the events, and that not ONE human being has ever alleged trickery stands as a lot more convincing than some general statement backed up by nothing, like " Its all a trick..I cannot tell you HOW but trust me ..its all a trick." Thats simply not legitimate inquiry and not a basis for belief.

IM not going to bother getting into the thick of this argument yet agian. 80+ pages back at the CA discussion thread was more than enough for me.

1) FACT: deniers provided video evidence of anomolies in CA's building 2 building levitation
2) FACT: deniers provided video evidence of the same person being used at different times for different illusions in different cities.
3) FACT: Criss Angel is an illusionist
4) FACT: Criss Angel says he doesnt have powers and laughs at anyone claiming they do.

What do you present as fact and evidence? Broadcasts of his show, thats about it.

Im done, once again, discussing CA. And for that matter, illusionists in general.

Those are all fakes. I had a phycology professor that observed a Hindu Guru levitate under scientific analysis. He did make the scale show less mass. But I'll believe it when I measure it.

Certainly there are those who are capable of performing feats beyond our current understanding of science. For instance that monk who could set newspaper on fire in his hands; they used thermal imaging on his hands and sure enough he is able to generate substantial amounts of heat. Eastern medicine knows that they are simply manipulating their Qi. Some of those Tibetan monks are probably capable of even more incredible feats. Om mani padme hum.

This is just a trick, I've actually seen this done before.

Notice the carpet that he is over, that is the base that is in the ground, the stick is the other device that is holding him up. The stick is actually connect to another small platform underneath him that supports his weight.

I saw the trick to this levitation when i was 13 years old and saw this done at my high school.

It's an old trick that goes back centuries.

If that's the way you have to think about it, sure.

Let me just say that there are many things in this world that are fundamentally flawed, including our current understanding of physics. The world needs to take a look into alternative theories because there are other scientific basis that prove the current theories wrong. HOWEVER, there's no scientific proof what-so-ever that magic or telekenesis exsists.

There's a reason why Chris Angel is called an Illusionist and not a magician or claim to be telepathic.

Angel is nothing but a scam. His levitation (other than the old school magic classic tricks) is CGI

Very neat magic trick. Cris Angel does stuff like this all the time though so nothing new except the location.

I REALLY hope nobody starts with the whole, "he's a real magical being and it's not a trick" thing.

He's a good magician that did a neat trick. Nothing more, nothing less.

No, he's right. These are simply magicians tricks. They are very clever, admittedly - but tricks all the same...
