I remember back years ago in middle school we almost got in big trouble for drawing guns during lunch.

Yeah they freak out over it nowadays, it's ridiculous, people are too sensitive.

You say the word "gun" and people freak out.

In reality, the liberal thing is mostly true. 9/10 teacher I have met were highly liberal and did not get along very well with me whenever we got into a dicussion. One even tried to convince me that I WAS A LIBERAL hahaha. Of course that didn't work, but it was funny to watch him try.

But teachers tend to be liberal 90% of the time, from what I have noticed.

Anyway, giuliani is as conservative as stalin was a nazi. Get the picture?

Oh yeah and then there was the girl who kept drawing pictures of swords and anime characters with swords no one said anything to her. *cough*

Because in today's society swords are sugar-coated and romanticized and no longer considered weapons.

I say lock all children in boxes as soon as they are born. The boxes will have a food system like in Matrix, and will be housed in very secure prisons. In this way they will be safe forever - until they die one day, but at least they lived a long time and in safety !

Let me explain. You say gun control is a liberal issue? It isn't. Last I checked Guiliani is considered a 'Republican' conservative. He is pro-gun-control ... so, with your logic, a statement claiming 'this is what happens when conservative lawyers get to write up the rules' would be equally correct, no?

Giuliani is many things (you spelled his name incorrectly, by the way), but conservative is not one of them. He's quite populist, which I consider to be pretty much the opposite of conservative in the sense that I use it. I've never heard ANYONE consider him a conservative Republican, actually.

I could go on, but briefly, modern day "Liberalism" (not liberalism, as classical Anglo-French liberalism - big difference) seems to be populism under the guise of "progressivism" or "anti-establishment-ism." It's actually the antonym of both, but the fallacious arguments used to progress them are actually very convincing when you first hear them. Its very name (almost equating it with classical liberalism) is an example of the misleading way that it is presented.

Though both your post and this one are kind of off-topic.

This is B.s. man...

I am currently in Highschool and i have drawn many guns in school... with great detail (im really into weaponry) this sort of thing pisses me off...and really makes me think.....

i could get suspended at any moment.. Lol...

Somone needs to stand up for these kids!!!!!!! It seems if its bad.. we dont talk about it... doesn't that make most kids want it? ... (guns Sex DRugs Etc...) this seems to be repeating itself ... Something becomes taboo ... people want that item... especially kids....

a drawing is a not life threatning...!!! some people need to be slapped up!!!

That is seriously ridiculous, I used to draw guns and stuff when I was a little kid(as well as dinosaurs and people playing soccer), it's part of being a boy for god's sake. This censorship in an extreme sense, if they keep doing this kids are going to grow up a lot more curious about guns and crime, because they'll want to know what they are and how they work.

Schools are getting out of control. The slightest mention of guns, violence, or death means instant suspension or expulsion. I dont know if anyone has seen it, but there is a Simpsons episode where the bully, Nelson, draws a picture of a robot made out of guns, shooting guns at a plane made out of guns. As a joke, my friend from hs drew the same picture for fun, his teacher saw it, and he got 5 days of in school suspension.

THings are getting out of control

What is really scary about this is that having a gun is a Constitutionally protected right. So now just DRAWING a picture of a gun is grounds for suspension.

I wonder if teachers in this school would get suspended for talking about the 2nd Amendment? Or maybe bringing a copy of the Constitution to class would be a violation of their policy. And I guess they better not have any photos of soldiers going to war in their social studies books.

This is what happens when liberal lawyers get to write up the rules.

I agree. This world is becoming insane. All I have to say.

Wow, the schools are getting out of control. When I was in 1st grade, I drew a picture of "Inspector Gadget" who was being chased by 3 villains with guns. I got sent to a time out.

Then in 2nd grade, I was playing cops and robbers with my dog before school and accidentally left my cap gun in my pocket. When I found out I had it I was so scared. I thought they would expel me.

Then in 5th, my friend wanted to see my BB gun, so I took a Polaroid of it and brought it to school. My teacher found it and suspended me. As of now, 9th grade, I own several firearms (technically my Dad does) and to the best of my knowledge, I have never killed anyone. I was just being a kid.

Now that they are suspending children for "just" drawing a gun, what next? If you still feel that the US is a free country guess again. Hate speech, guns, Constitution, Bill of Rights all bad, bad, bad!!! Welcome to the police state.

It sure isn't the country I grew up in anymore

What ever happened to God, Mom and apple pie? I guess we are not in Kansas anymore Todo!

When I was in high school we had guns, in our cars out in the parking lot. I grew up in a rural area where hunting is still a pretty important pass time. You could count on there being guns locked in trunks of cars and hanging on racks in the back windows of pickup trucks. From the end of September until middle of December I had a Remington 870 12 gauge, Rem model 700 30-06, and an old Winchester model 94 30-30 in my car. I usually had a High Standard 22 target piston in the trunk also. I shot trap year round, and we practiced after school. No one ever got shot at school, although we did have a kid accidentally get stabbed in the foot. As a matter of fact during deer season there were more guns in the high school parking lot than there were cops in the entire county.

I'll second this. I'm all for maybe keeping an eye on a young man who seems suspicious, but to just have total zero tolerance is idiocy to the extreme IMO.

Fantastic!

Lets suppress any creativity starting at such an early age. That's just what we need, more folks without the ability to break barriers. All great thinkers thought their greatness through creative methods. If you're constantly being told to think through rigid guidelines, you're going to end up being a drone.

Now, to the actual issue of the "gun" in his picture. Please. What? You're going to take boys natural want(s) to play around with "things that hurt"? That's a pivotal part in male development. Ever heard the phrase: "Boys with toys"?

I am a teen myself and honestly I think suspending the 7 year old for drawing a gun is most outrages! As if the little 7 year old boy was drawing plans for boming the school or an assult on a teacher or other student. If I were the mother I would sue the school for ridicouls punishment and missuse of power.

It's really horrible that the poor kid was suspended. Jesus - if this policy had been around when I was in grades 2-5 I'd have been expelled
. My friends and I were constantly drawing the goriest WWII scenes imaginable. Tanks crushing Hitler was a popular theme.

Political correctness run amok

When I was in school, there was no problem with people having guns in there cars, as long as there was no ammo. Here in North Dakota if you don't have a gun in your car/truck around the first weekend in November you are a blasphemer! Hunting is a big deal up here

Any link to the picture???

The Zero Tolerance polciy is nuts.

When i was in middle school, one of my frineds at the lunch table opened up his binder, and in the binder was a kitchen knife, he said he didn't know how it got there, and that one of his other brothers must have put it in there, because they were moving. Well no soon then 10 secs after he opened the binder, a teacher came over and saw it, and he got expelled from school.

Just plan sick
