I don't expect the world to end. Just quit smoking, little Effulvio (age 6 wants to be a brain surgeon). Recently attended my second AA meeting...........

Only kidding. ----------------PC

We've all probably thought feelings as such, as it's been ingranded into humanity, possibly something that helps us go on(by being thankful we are here). This topic now just seems more in the open with the rapid spread of communication.
I feel how you described when I'm depressed sometimes, not implying that you are. In a way it would make me feel okay if the world just ended and not just myself-not intending to be selfish but rather a new beginning for everything...

You can bet the world is going to end sometime, whether it's in a few years or a billion years from now....can't tell. But I'm sort of on the same boat as you....it would be an honor to witness the end of the world. It would actually make me feel quite dandy.

A lot of folks want it to end in a biblical fashion to confirm their otherwise ludicrous beliefs. I've heard it time and time again by selfish trolls and it isn't exactly a new trend. It has been happening ever since there was a legend for the end of the world and the benefits it should reap for those who "follow" a certain "path" no matter how perverted it is.

Then there are those folks who'd find it wicked to see the end of the world - and to be able to participate.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not prepared to see humanity end. We've got a lot of work to do. If we're able to figure out a way to escape this dreadful rock, we'll be set until the universe comes to a great chill or crunch. Those that get to witness that end, are the true winners in my opinion.

i dont know if the world will end in any religious context. but. when i consider human nature its loving good points & back stabbing bad points & mix that human nature with, changing climate [glabal warming] famine, religios wars !, poverty, the demise & colaps of the ocean food chain, oil wars, water wars, weapons sales, co2 blame game, the general lack of trust in governments the world over, the expanding human population, polution, nuclear weapons,
i think your getting the picture now.
add all that in one big pot & yeas ide say theres a pretty good chance of humanity going of the rails big time, will it mean the end of the world ?, well if humanity goes insane the bits that may servive might be very hard to live in due to the new less friendly environment ?.
can i blame humans for the current global mess we are in ?. ide like to, but being human !!!. i guess it comes to this.
if you see your self as a peace loving human, & you find one day that there is not enough water to sustain every one around you. will you remain a calm lovng human & die of thirst ? or will you decide to murder other humans to stop them getting that water & keep murdering humans untill you get that lovley lovley water ?.
having said that i will also say that just in case the religios doomsdayers are wrong about 2012 i am already planning a party to celebrate 2013.
if 2012 does turn out to actually be the total ending of the world. well i hope i have some good sun glasses as i hear mushroom clouds come with a realy bright flash of light, & ide be disapointed to get all this way & be blinded a few milli seconds befor seeing the mushroom cloud !!!.

not to mention my 2013 party will have to be counciled !.
& to finnish of my rant i will say to those that are making plans to servive an end of the world scene. making plans for this to me seems like its an ok idea if you plan on living the rest of your life disapearing up your own back side

enjoy today, cause tomorow might be gone...........kaaabbooooooommmm

I really hate to tell you this, but nothing is going to change. So reach down and grab those things on the side of your boots. They are called boot straps. Pull them up, grit your teeth and put up with it. If you really want your little corner of the world to change, CHANGE IT. Don't wait for someone else to do it for you or to you.

the reason you are looking for all this is because your confused and lost and think your going to feel good about your self if somthing does actully happen its alot easier to belive in somthing that our minds can imagine then to belive somthing that is already real i hope nothing ever happens and all the hype / internet days of research would be for nothing and would you kill your self or? just be upset the rest of your life... ... thanks

For people like us who don't fit into this whole materialistic lifestyle it's hard to not want this world to end and a new one to begin.

this time i'll make it shorter-why are we alive?because we were Created for better things than this madness of just feeding food into our faces just to stay alive for 1 more day till we die of old age-------The Beings that Created us did it for the purpose of making us like Them eventually--------we have to learn to be law abiding-----prove will will not misuse Their power that could destroy the universe if we are allowed to become totally like Them----------an immortal with unlimited power and energy to make use of.this physical life is just the first step to that end.

I think the OP expresses views of many people in this world. In many religions and cultures they talk of a cleansing of the earth. I've lived 50 years now a bit over. I remember the first time my mother told me don't take candy from strangers. I was in grade school. Today I see me sending my son to a place not as safe as I go to when I go to work. Yes school. I've seen to much violence, negitivity, greed, materialism in life.

At some point there always comes a head to the trouble. It is coming soon. I don't think many of these people that think 2012 is going to bring in a new mind set realize for a new mindset to happen something drastic has to come first. If its mass death on this planet with few survivors or even a spiritual happening something causes it that isn't usually pretty. It usually takes a whole lot to change a bad person into a good person. Especially if they are hard core bad.

Yes we see history and what we thought was good happen by people. When you look back and you also read all the different prophecies about end times you can see the connection between what we thought at the time was a good thing to what is so wrong today. So were those people in history really doing something good or helping to fulfill a destiny to clean up this place.

I too am tired. I'm tired of hearing of parents killing their children, old people followed home and robbed in their own driveways. Old people freezing to death in their homes. I'm tired of the haves the have nots and the give me some because I'm here and you owe me people. I'm tired of corruption on all levels of this world.

I say let whats to happen happen..let us stand in judgement for what we have done good or bad. If we are found not worthy by the creator to be here on this planet then let him take us and leave it to ones that are. Perhaps then someone will have a life with more peace then what we have now on this planet. Is that selfish? I don't think so for I'm wishing for a better way of life for others even if I would not be one of those it was for.

I would hate to think what life will be like when my grandkids get my age if we don't have a big change. Good big change is never brought on my governments or organized religions.

I guess you would have to be afraid of your own death to fear a death brought on for a way better change. Sometimes the many have to scarifice for the few if its for the good.

I want the world to end! I really do.. Every time I do anything I fantasize a terrible car accident, plane crash, meteorite, or a massive solar flare.

I wait...

I hope...

But life keeps going on and on

Why do I want the world to end? I'm not saying I want everyone I know including myself to die. I just want the world to end as we know it. I want a new way of life.

I scour the internet everyday looking for signs that the world is ending. I look for signs of NWO starting or maybe reptilian take over. Even the Christian apocolypes. I keep waiting and waiting but nothing happens. Nothing catastrophic. At least not in my itty bitty part of the world. Why do I want this to happen. Am I a fearmonger? Do I take joy in seeing misery? I don't think so. I just want a new way of life. But what way of life am I wanting? I don't know.

I'm typically a very logical person but here lately I try to believe any conspiracy theory that you people throw at me. I keep hoping that yall are right and the world is at its last rope. I know there has to be more people out there that feel this way and if there is then why do we have to have the world end (as we know it) to make changes in our lifestyle? Why do we sit on the net researching for the next clue? Why don't we get off our bums and change things. Move into a commune and pretend that no one else exists?

I'm just so confused lately and don't know what to do. I know there are people preparing for dooms day... stocking up on supplies. I'm not. I just assume that when the big BANG happens then I will be taken care of. Not by other people but by some devine intervention or something.

I guess I'm still just looking for answers. I know everyone says the answers are inside me but I've been looking and I don't see/feel any. What can I do? I don't want to continue living in the "real" world.
disclaimer: (this is not some suicide note or anything... i'm just trying to express how i feel)

"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

You are on the right track, asking questions will get you answers but be careful who you trust especially in this so called "information age".

The reason all of the things that are happening in this world are actually happening is because mankind is not capable self rule.

Have you ever noticed that even kids begin fighting if there is not an parent or guardian to watch over them?

We are children of god, we are not becoming god on this earth, there will be no shift of anything like new age beliefs will mislead you into but the one thing that we will always be doing as long as we are still here is learning because that is why we are here.

The New Dawn shall belongs to everyman. But it terrifies me. I live with fear for the future of my family, but this fear and uncertainty can't hide the feelings expressed in these pages.

I also want the world as we know it to end. Not the end of the world, but the end of these ways, and these days. I can think of many examples of corruption, and I see it in the drudgery of daily life. Money, Profit, and Commerce are the New Gods, and are praised-world without end.
I believe that our culture has an expiration date stamped upon it. Because we are too many. If you were left on your own to compete for resources, and to take care of your family without electric, Google, gasoline and government, could you do it. Sure, some could, but most could not. We live in a time of extension; what great masters we are, how clever of us to dam up rivers, truck food in and garbage out, consolidate our sewers. These extensions have allowed us to bear fruit, and lots of it; 9 billion folks in the world is probably not too far off the mark. I can't wrap my brain around that, it's too big. I can, however, look around.

What is to be done? I know that the New Dawn will be a good thing, though I don't know the when or the where it will be noted. Probably some time in the future, long after it has passed. Men will know their worth, will take care of their families as they ought. Their works will be good, not corrupt. Real 'Place-based culture' could thrive, and some of the ancient ways could once again aid mankind. If you stay in a place long enough, you notice the changes of the seasons, the animals behaviour, the moon's affect. You also can fortell a bit of the future based on these selfsame noticings. & know when something is out of whack. Yeah, it's out of whack all right. Don't need to stay in one place to see that.

Again, what is to be done? I suppose that this is my day and my age. I won't see any bright new future, and indeed, I doubt I'd be welcome there. No, there is no place for me in the time I dream of.
I am the new amerikan insurgent. I wonder what bridges I need to bring down to start the landslide, what blazing oil refineries will be key to start a 'Peak Oil' scenario? To me, it sounds like terrorlsm, though I've served more than 10 years in the military, 3 of those in the Middle East fighting in other wars, which are still raging to this very day. But it is not terror to want massive changes.

I am not overly special, and have always considered myself 'Joe Everyman'; normal thoughts and feelings about this and that, and the ability to dream of something better. & If I'm thinking it, then there are many, many right there with me.

I do not want to fight, I want to live in peace, maybe work on my farm, and raise my children well. But if there is nothing done, then my children will live in these days with these ways. I do not feel good, or accomplished, or well. I do not believe we are on track as a species, for whatever reason. I am the Amerikan that can do something about it, though it will get ugly.

Peace be upon you when you look up at the stars tonite, many of them much larger than this planet we live upon, called the earth. When I walk underneath them I pay very little attention to them, I'm not interested them, why? Because they seem so far away. But they are not. They are as close as I make them.

This is why I want the world to end:

1) I hate myself and everybody else

2) the Human species is a parasite on the earth and deserves extinction

3) I'm tired of working everyday and would prefer nonexistence

4) you may ask...why don't you just do yourself in? And I would reply: see #1

I know what you mean OP. Being a college student it is difficult for me to find motivation in my classes when I'm constantly on the lookout for when TSHTF. Sometimes you're the compass, sometimes you're the clock. So part of me says "keep going, get a degree, be successful in life" while the other half says "this degree is useless anyway and the world will probably end soon". I think part of me finds relief in adapting to a new way of life, even if it means revolution or war on the horizon. I'm on the cusp of a double-edged sword.

I'm normally a very positive person but it's extremely easy to sway towards hopeless cynicism as you put all the pieces together.
