Why do we want the world to end?

At least you have this going for you TC or as you say here I think, OP. Out of all the people to live in this world you are closer to seeing the end than anyone before you. I myself don't think the world will end but I do think, as I like to say, the reset button will be hit soon. I also think the internet is a two way sword, good for us but bad for stupid people, disinfo on mass production and also it may be the only thing slowing this reset button down because they have to step lightly now that we can record and transmit like never before. I agree OP, I also wish that a flu pandemic would come along and wipe out 99% of humans - or all of them for all I care, we don't deserve to live as a species IMO.

I am also hoping that I will witness this event in my life time (50 years still to go) so that I can die happy.

I'm just curious Wig. Why do you feel that way. How can you put all humans in the same basket. How can you say that all humans dont deserve to live. There might be alot of evil & corrupt people in the world, but they are a minority. On the whole most people are decent and caring. So why would you wish death upon these people.

If you simply wish death upon these people because of your own failings and shortcomings then I can understand your frustration and anger upto a point. We've all been there and most of the time we are our own worst enemy. At the end of the day you are in charge of your own life and the only limitations you have are the one's you impose upon yourself. If your life isnt going according to plan, then it's nobody's fault but your own and it's only going to get better if you change your attitude to one that is more positive.

The problem with being interested in conspiracy theories and alternative news etc is that you are like a crab lying on its back. You can see whats going on but you are powerless to get up and stop it.
Anybody on here who really thinks they , or even a group of people can make a difference is delusional.
Every single variable is taken into consideration , all possible outcomes pre-planned and simulated.

Enjoy your life and the main thing is stay positive, sounds cliché but its the best we have.

How can you say we can't make a difference. Have you even read any history books. There are literally thousands of people everyday who are making a difference in other people's lives and millions who have changed this world for the better through out history. It's that kind of roll over and die attitude that the elitists want everyone to have.

I am right there with you.

Every night I pray to the Lord thanking him for everything we have in this world, and many nights I pray also that we dont wake up to see it ever again.

I do believe that all of mankind is in peril. I can feel it in the air, we are not going to be here long. Something big is brewing.

So long as people like you continue on your course, I think that may not be such a bad thing.

It is sad we cant just live in peace and love in this world.

Humans are a virus to planet Earth, when you have a virus/bacterial infection do you think that those bacteria ( talking about a specific strain of bacteria that cause you to be unwell not the good bacteria which live within us in symbiosis) deserve to live, that some or most of them are decent bacteria? Well I hate to sound harsh, but if your only contribution to this world is negativity, then you deserve to die. Only those who don't roll over when the going gets tough and make a positive contribution to this world are the ones who deserve to live.

Your trouble is you can't see the big picture, you can't see how humans as a species have ruined everything they touch. You can't detach yourself from your own insignificance.

Your trouble wig is that your so small minded that your uncapable of seeing the bigger picture. You cannot put all humans in the same basket. To do so is complete ignorance. Only a select few, such as corrupt governments & corporations have ruined things for everyone else through their own selfishness, greed and ignorance. I also want the world as we know it to end. Why? Because it's an ugly world. I don't myself living the next 50 years of my life in a society like this. Not only is this world greedy, egocentric, self-centered, but it has to be stupid slavery-based. I don't see myself working from 8 to 5 for some rich corporations. Nobody wants this. Nobody wants to work all the time, just to be able to "live". This is not life! This is some goddam slavery and nobody notices it. My dream is to travel, unleash my potential, make friends, and don't give a care about today or tomorrow. How many dreams are being neglected?!

You walk outside and all you see is ugly buildings, ugly streets, no plants, no grass, barely any flowers. The air stinks, the tap water is goddam lime green, Why can't we have beautiful houses, and monuments like the egyptians had? Why can't we write stories on the walls instead of having to see ugly grafitis? Why do the seas have to be poluted and the only boats on it ugly cargos? It doesn't have to be like this.

Why do the government have to be a bunch of greedy warmongers? Why should all the decisions they do be so stupid?

Why is everybody affraid? Nobody knows their neighbours anymore! Nobody talks to eachother anymore because of the "social rules". In waiting rooms, everyone avoids looking in other people eyes, because they're affraid! Why can't we just talk, and have fun?! People don't have any feelings anymore, they just drug themselves, eat chips and candy, or become alchoolics; anything just to forget! Why do people ridiculize people who are different? Why do the kids in school bully, insult, and put down the kids who are shy or don't got the last trend clothes? Why are people so stupid? Why should the big designers decide what we should wear?

Why should the television decide what we should think? Why should the television decide how we live our life? Why are women still put down by men, reduced to mere objects on television?

Why are those DISGUSTING food still on the grocery shelves? Why are cigarettes still on the shelves when they kill people? Why do junk food restaurants still exist? They exploit stupidity! Make profit off death!

And those damn pills, the "solution" to everything. Always to "treat", never to "cure", they would make no money if it was like that! People are sick, no doubt, the water we drink is contaminated, the food we eat is full of poison. People are fat, nobody moves anymore; why? Outside it's so ugly! The places who are rural are EMPTY. Why would anyone want to live in isolation?

Why, huh? Why should we just accept this and live with it? Accepting it wont make it go away! It'll go on like this forever until we decide to m ake it change! If you just accept mediocirity, and even defend it, then you become part of the problem! If you accept it, in my eyes you're just a weaklink, affraid of change, clinging to your old little habits, a coward.

Well i too feel we are see the beginning of the End Times. I am not a very relgious person, i am not pro Christian as such, i have alot of resepct for the Islamic faith (when not taken over by extremist hardliners!) but i do feel that things ARE comming to a head. I find the situation in Iran worrying. But the thing is we ALL die at some point. The question is of how and when. I dont particulary fancy being nuked thank you very much or get killed by a sucide bomber whose views and aims i could'nt give a toss about. I do despise the world i live in. I hate going to work 9-5 and wasting my life away like that. However unless i win the lotto i cannot see me leaving world and being free to travel etc. The world does need to change. But how and when i have no idea.

You really should get away from this board for a few days or weeks and clear your mind. This place is entertaining, but if you let it take over your life it is not healthy. Way to much negative here. I just came in from a perfect sunny day outside. Crisp, cold Fall air surrounded by mountains topped with fresh white snow. That is the real world. Get out in it and get it all over you. You will feel a lot better.

Remember that most things here are theory based on not much evidence. Some things here are pure fantasy. Some things here are based on lies people tell to sell books and tapes. Some of this stuff is from people who hate authority who make stuff up because they think somehow they can get even with an imaginary foe. Some of it is made up by people who get a thrill out of tricking or scaring people. Maybe a couple of percent of what is here has a basis in fact. I get a headache trying to figure out what is real myself.

BTW, I still don't know why people are 'waiting' for a "new world order".....the fact that the whole world takes the Greenwich meridian as the zero longitude should be enough evidence. the structure has been here for 100s of years. anyway

frustration with the current state of affairs and hope in a new life is essential for inner transformation, which is the first step:

"These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

This means, amidst the mounting turmoil, strife and lawlessness of humanity, people will find a way (seemingly impossible) to cleanse and purify their souls and minds and bodies because of their hope for a new and better life.

If you understand Jewish custom, you would understand that a lamb (innocence) was used for the blood atonement of society's transgressions/imperfections, a humble gesture to the Living God saying, "we are imperfect, forgive us." Jesus Christ is the final blood atonement, hence why after the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD all blood sacrifices stopped. Prophecy was fulfilled. Christ became the Lamb of God, the symbolic blood atonement for anyone who choses to accept it. and you can only do that if you admit/hate your own imperfections and hope for something better.

who knows (and who rightly cares) if the end comes tomorrow or if it comes in a few million years when the sun blows up. fact is, we all die at some point.

i think cultivating our hearts, minds, and hopes for something better is the best thing we can possibly do. eternal life is real.

If you love the movie you should READ the BOOK, very powerful. I was very affected and would actually visualize what would happen if I survived, I would imagine the interstate piled up with cars, etc.
I first read The Stand at 14 and have read it at least 5 more times since(I am 33), there are 2 versions, get the uncut version. I think I might start reading it again right now.
