On April 1, 2002, some 200 armed Palestinians entered the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and remained inside until May 12. The church is considered one of the most important shrines and holy places in Christianity, built over the grotto in which, according to tradition, Jesus was born, as it is written: "[Mary] placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn" (Luke 2:7). The birth of Jesus in Bethlehem is probably linked to the fact that King David was born in the same town, and the genealogy of Jesus makes him a descendant of David (Matthew 1:1-17). Queen Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine, dedicated the first church on May 31, 339, but most of what can be seen today dates from the Crusader renovation of the church.

If the "religion of peace" can riot and kill over simple cartoons of the false "prophet", then why didn't the filth inside one of Christianities holy places start an all out war? Why did christians just allow this to happen? Where was the superpower imperialist America sending troops to destroy Mecca?

Because the world hates Christianity and all it stands for! Because America and the other Christian nations have fallen into corrupt pools of PC filth.

Erm...Not exactly. Christians following the message Christ taught do not wage war over offenses against their faith. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

You posed a question, then answered it yourself with an vitriolic statement that oozes the bias of one that has clearly and adamantly made up their mind on the matter. I suppose any responses or input on the subject would really be in vain.

Guess you didn't really need this thread at all.
Unless you simply wanted to start an argument.

Maybe it has something to do with this:

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." (Matthew 5:38-42, NIV)

maybe it has to do with socioeconomic factors...

now how can you label people fighting against a horribly oppressive occupying force that regularly violates international humanitarian laws and violates UN sanctions as "filth"?
they're fighting for their survival, try to put yourself in their shoes

and i love how you're going to characterize the few muslims that protested the muhammed cartoons as representing the whole of their population.

So when the phillistines took the ark or the covanent and defiled it by putting it next to dagon, and God destroyed dagons image he was just "kidding"? The when they sent it back to Israel he struck them with disease, he didn't mean it?

When God instrucked Joshua to destroy the 5 cities including men, women, children, and even animals, he was just kidding around?

Or the commandment about "I am a jealeous God...." he didn't mean it?

The "turn the other cheek" message was instructions to the Aposels to keep them alive. That was the subject in Mathew............

It is silly to think that defiling of a holy place and assume so called Christians are just supposed to go "oh darn" .........

It is time to stand for your faith, fight for your beliefs.

The land of all Israel was given to the 12 tribes by God. All other are simply "guests" in the land.

First of all, there is already a crusade being waged, yet once again, by, again, once again, two ABRAHAMIC religions. So, your question is rather faulty. There is a world war currently raging and it is nothing more or less than a religious war under the guise of the "war on terrorism."

So when Christ got angry at the moneychangers defiling the temple and drove them out, he was just "joking"?

Don't you think the Abrahamic religions have caused enough trouble without stirring up more #? I do...

So I take it you're not a fan of the term "God's chosen"? Or that Islam is a lie?

There has been a holy war going down since the Garden...........perhaps before that when satan rebelled and took 1/3 of the angels with him..........

Congratulations. You have accurately discerned the difference between the New Testament and the Old Testament. The New Testament was meant to be a refinement of the previous philosophy, away from an endless revenge cycle and toward a more transcendental view of interactions with people during life. Divine justice is available for everyone who wants it, including the poor and the sick, and those with few or no worldly goods. It's in all the sales literature, and is one of the bigger selling points. A church or a shrine doesn't really matter, and can be rebuilt. You carry your real church with you, according to your actions.

I don't believe God has "chosen" people. I do believe that Islam is a faulty religion, but, let's take a good look at where Islam originates...
It is a n Abrahamic religion is it not? Yes, it is. So...

Silliness, the law is unchanged. Christ even said as such. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

No I disagree, Ishmal was a son, however, there is little proof mohammad was a decendant of Ishmal. It is assumed...........

such idiotic religious assertions have no place in formal political discussion. the simple fact is that they weren't the first ones there and they won't be the last. the palestinians were displaced with no compensation and are now the victims of crimes against humanity on a regular basis.
people are people, their religion should play no part in this.

until you can get god to come down and tell the whole world that the land belongs to a certain group, stuff it

It never ceases to amaze me that so many of these so called christians, get on here and rant about the horrible evils put on them by others. The insane nuts that go around eye for an eye and such. Yes Jesus did say the Law stands all at the same time pointing out it was not intended to be used the way it was. You want to follow the Law go ahead you will be judged as such, salvation through Christ does not give you a blank check to go around doing everything you want and espousing hate because it is immeadiatly forgiven. And no turn the other cheek was not meant to keep them alive it is meant for every single Christian, how does one know this, simple because the message at its heart is one of forgivness and tolerence, not this bigotry and hatred you see running rampant in most churches today. The biggest lesson Cristianity has yet to learn is that forcing people into your beliefs does nothing but breed contempt. When if you actually followed the principles of tolerence forgivness and charity you would have people knocking on your door looking to join and not have it be the other way around. To even assume it woudl be appropriate to start a World War over some Muslims shacking up in a Christian church or shrine is idiocy in its highest form, so what did it ever occur to you that soem of them may have been moved to Christ during their stay, no it probably didn't. Truthfully your just like the proverbial richman who will have a difficult time getting into heaven because you are to attached to things.

There you go confussing FACT with religion. God did give the 12 tribes Israel. Modern Judea was GIVEN to the jews by UN charter and Jordan was given to the Arabs in the area. So modern Israel did not "take" land from anyone. When to arabs attacked them in 67 and 73 there was land WON in the conflict.

I couldn't agree more. But you misuse the word hate. All to often when someone has a different opinion on this site, a long finger is pointed to them and the word "hater" come out. That is just silly, selfserving, and ignorant.

Pointing out where someone is wrong does not mean you hate them. Perhaps it is you that hate because of your own issues with being told the truth.

When the church was defiled, Mecca should have been defiled in the same way. Imagine if 200 Israeli soldiers took over Mecca and left it in the same trashed and soiled state...............

Being Christian does not mean be a doormat.
