Because it was purposely filmed to look real. You can find the cast list on IMDB, including every project that they have been in since. You can even purchase/find the other movies or television shows they have all been in online. Laying to rest that these people are not family, and are certainly not missing.

Hey " GENIUS" thats exactly why it is fake. Thats the problem with all so-called "great" footage it is always blurry. Why is it blurry...ummm...maybe because when it is blurry, people are unable to see how craptacular the "craft" that was constructed for this production really looks or how the aliens costumes were just too cheesy looking when in a clear shot.

I'm still not convinced that the original footage is fake. Ram has a good point about those masks/helmets choking a human trying to wear them.

The recreation video that was originally posted in this thread is obviously fake, but the so-called original footage looks pretty real. The people in the house all seem legitimately scared also...

Ok .....fine...its an alien abduction and I as well as others on this post are government disinfo agents. Whew!
If it wasn't for you "smart" guys out there we would have gotten away with making the world and also the director of the movie believe it was fake. We even tried to get the director to make a remake of his first alien abduction movie to further his belief that the original was fake, but alas RAM and his "genius's" have found us out.

personally i thought it was pretty funny. i skimmed through it skipping the boring stuff. it was like a sci-fi movie. and of course the ship was all blurred and the aliens were blurred whenever they showed up on the camera. (and the ending was bad. 3 out of 5 stars for this production.)

Man you all are stupid , If a real ET hit you across the damn face with his back hand you would think it was one of your friends dressed up.

Let me put this out there to you.

the goverment did this # on purpose . They made the second one.

First one is real ( I havent even seen it , I just know how this works ) then they made a second one to make you think ohh man the first one was fake because some one " said " its fake and made a " renactment ", there goes the goverment playing there part.

The real version got out on the internet , and they cant delete it because some one will put it right back up. so they do this crap to make you discredit it.

To me, this video is more impressive:

www.youtube.com...

It's security camera footage of a man on camera in an alley of some sort disappearing after a quick white flash on screen and an electrical disturbance. He then reappears on camera hours later.

Way to just come out and call everyone stupid for not realizing this is an OBVIOUS government coverup. I think you've watched "Conspiracy Theory" 1 too many times pal. I think its more obvious that whoever produced this film saw the original and thought "ok this was pretty entertaining...I bet we can make an even better version that can get use airplay on a major TV network".

Hi Osobad28,

As set out in some detail in my post above, the same chap was behind both versions of the movie - Dean Alioto.

The suggestion in this thread that the original version of the movie must show real aliens since "if a 'human person' would get into the original costume - he/she would choke" involves numerous fairly obvious problems. These include the fact that various individuals (including myself and Springer) have seen an episode of Encounters in which the background of the original version of the movie was described by Dean Alioto, including showing the actors dressing up in the "alien" costumes.

All the best,

Isaac

D3C0D3: I pretty much agree with you. Like I said, I am still not convinced that the original video is a hoax. The recreation is OBVIOUSLY fake. People need to get past that and focus on the original.

I followed the older thread about the original video and the only thing people had to debunk it was some stupid video website or whatever, which looked very amateur and could have been made by anyone.

Someone please show me some proof of the "director" admitting that he made that first original video. (NOT THE RECREATION WITH THE CREDITS AND ALL THAT)

Ok, well if that is true then I would like to see a clip of that and then I will know for sure that this guy made the recreation as well as the "original."

Looked into this a while ago..........

Dean Alotio says:

"In 1988 I was headed for my 25th birthday and I had not yet made my first feature film -- this 25th year mark is crucial for most filmmakers as it was the age that, Orson Wells, Coppola, Scorsese, Spielberg all had made their first films by. Unlike them, I had a budget that equaled the size of craft service for a day on a studio feature film. One night after reading the latest books on the UFO phenomenon (Communion, Missing Time, and the books of Jacques Vale), I came up with the idea of making the most realistic movie on UFO abduction ever made. The best part of the idea was that it could be done for my miniscule budget. I wrote an outline of twenty action beats based on the claimed abduction experience. I hired a group of skilled improv actors, except for myself who played the 16 year old shooting the video, and shot the direct-to-video movie in one night, in one continuous take, on 8mm video. The guy who created the UFO craft and aliens has since gone on to be the production designer for the recent live-action Scooby-Doo films -- Bill Boes.

Here's where things get "strange". The video actually got distributed. However, a few months later the distribution company burned to the ground. I lost my 1 inch master tape and all of my artwork, leaving me with my original tapes and a 3/4 inch copy. I figured, "Oh, well -- time to move on" and forgot about my first attempt at a feature film. Five years later, 1994, I begin getting calls from Unsolved Mysteries, Hard Copy, and a show called Encounters. They all want to know if I knew who had found some mysterious UFO tape that had been passed around the UFO community for the past five years. The tape, without a title or credits, was believed by many people to be real footage of an alien abduction.

When I finally stopped laughing and told them no one had found the tape, that I had made it and own the rights, they told me what my little video had been up to. Apparently, someone -- much more crafty than myself -- had made an edited bootleg copy of my video and injected it into the UFO community, hyping it all the way to the 1993 International UFO Congress Convention where it brought the house down. A Lieutenant Colonel with 40 years military intelligence, who was on the panel at the convention, determined right there that the tape was real! When I tried to ascertain how all this happened no one was able to find "patient zero" -- the person who bootlegged the tape. I was aware that a few sample copies were made in 1989 by the distributor, before the company was burned, and that these copies were sent out to a few mom and pop video stores around the country. That's was it."

It's so obvious that this is a fake just look at the facts that has already been posted by the ats users.. The bad acting should give it away to any sane person aswell. I just find it hard to belive that people can think this is real. And what's up with that whole jawline talk it don't prove a thing. You can take as many screenshots as you want but it's still fake.

You really should watch the video before you describe it. It was a thanksgiving dinner..... For those of you who think it fake and that it was made on a budget of 6,000.00 dollars (US) i ask you this.....how????? The cast consisted of eight people, this does not include the stage hand that handled lighting, sound, directing, gaffers, etc. An electrical fuse box for the house (replacement and installation) One power pole with transformer (entire budget right there) One dead and mutilated cow Hand-held laser weapon A 30 foot diameter spacecraft with three level (extreme realism) Crew of 4 foot aliens (at least six) One bedroom door (laser burn and shotgun blast hole) One dead alien (blood on floor) One truck engine (melted by aliens) Three shotguns or rifles barrels melted On top of this there are a type of alien that is not normally visible to humans that can be found throughout the video. The same kind that are visible in my avatar. One other thing....the oldest brothers "racism" because his sister was dating a black man. The picture was later claimed to be a Dick Clark Production but a search of this venerable gentleman's accomplishments did not mention this video. The opening "credits" were generated on a computer......badly. There have been several other "fake" videos claiming to be the lake county abduction but they are not convincing at all. This is probably the best and most believable abduction video there is at present. I urge you to judge for yourself.
