On June 19, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI urged Christians to reject those who "falsify the Word of Christ," which was seen as an allusion to the controversy over the Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code. Addressing a huge open-air mass in central Warsaw on the second day of his visit to Poland, the pontiff used his homily to warn against the temptation of doctoring what he said were Biblical truths. He stated: "As in past centuries, so today there are people or groups who seek to falsify the Word of Christ and to remove from the Gospel those truths which in their view are too uncomfortable for modern man."

I feel the christian thing for the church to do would be to sell all its assets, its works of art, gold treasuries, ancient buildings and all its lands and with the money they could house the homeless, help against the destruction Aids has caused in africa partly due to the non use of contraceptives. They could sponsor students to become doctors invest in hospitals and help people who suffer in life.

Don't expect that any time soon.
Even with more wealth than anyone else, they still do more for the
non elite than any one else.
What would be helpful is exposing the elite science suppression.
But then science since Galileo shows it can be held against them but I
feel some know the facts, since I heard many years back as echoed
by William R. Lyne today.
However, the repercussion by the elite against the curch is not likely
what they want to go through.
The Trident Submarine at one time was condemned by a University
leader as being over kill, but heck that was easy and about the
last political stand against weapons.
In light of 9/11, I don't think any condemnation of Nazi activities
will be forthcoming unless the stonewall of Connie means anything.

Who cares what the Pope and the Vatican have to say? Not me. Their history speaks for itself.
