I might have been overly aggressive with this post and for that i apologize, my feelings are just so strong its hard to contain my self.

Get a grip. Why dont you tell me how this effects you personally?
Has the US invaded your country? Has someone you know died in
Afghanistan or Iraq?
People like you crack me up. You have absolutely nothing better to do, so you follow the political, military and social activities of another country, like say... the USA.
You become some kind of fanatical anti US zealot because hating the US is "the thing to do" and has been for the last few years.
Even though the US hasnt made all the right choices in battling terrorism but what the HELL has anyone else done about it?
Someone had to say enough and draw the line somewhere, nobody else was doing anything proactive about it.
Europe's and most of the rest of the world's strategy was to wait for something to happen, find out who is responsible and then slap the terror supporting middle eastern countries on the wrist and say "excuse me masssuer could you please stop doing that"
I wonder why this is? maybe because a lot of European countries had so many "under the table" deals with these countries and they didnt want to jeopardize those deals.
Dont be so critical of what the US is doing when most of the world has taken steps to do anything themselves.
Prior to the US stepping up after 911, there was never a serious worldwide search for terror suspects BEFORE they had actually committed the act, so whine and bitch about the US all you want but remember, no one else did a damn thing about terrorism and most of them still arent doing all that much.

I'm a child of Americana, brought up on its hopes, visions and rich culture. I too used to adore that land of freedom and opportunities beyond anything.

The best friends of my youth were Americans, together fighting American Imperialism.

You can figure it was in the days of Vietnam my heydays were.

I'm old enough to have been brought up in the rubbles of Europe, devastated by the senseless strife of ideologies. And now I see the same senselessness coming up again, that lacking of mental perception only cable of stupid and foolish arguments and actions.

They can say it's for oil, 'democracy', WMDs, whatever, but once again it's for ideologies. This time the worst kind of them, Religion.

It's such a simple trick to get people to fare with a course when it touch core believes, stupidity and ignorance definately wanted abilities when it comes to arguments.

Just take a look on a couple of a fellew poster's:

"Because the Iranian leaders are a bunch of crazy, deranged lunatics!!"
"Because they are a Muslim country, therefore their rules regarding society will prevent this from happening."
"I think you should mind your own euro business!"

Maybe we can classify them as just being inmature juvenile.

Whatever they are, they do serious harm to the discussion especially in topics like this. No reason for their trolling, imo, no reason for them to be here at all. If I were a Mod I would ban them.

They make me think the heretical thought, that the only way of change -and save the world- is the complete destruction of America.

The fact is there is some thign very wrong with the USA and its people, the ones that do not want war and want to help peopel are out numbered in such a massive ratio that they carnt do any thing.

I understand why the American peopel have signed there soul to the devil, your scared. 9/11 has come and gone but it still effects you all in your every day life, Bush has made it so that for a long time you will go along with what he wants.

Iran is not a threat to you, you are a threat to you. Learn by Rome, once Rome had a great empire, then it got to far out and went down the drain, your heading for the same faite.

You (some of you) voted into power a man of such evil i truely belive he desearves death. But its too late now, he may go but his effects will live for a long time. Iraq is now in a worse state than ever, you've destroyed them, they had NO weapons, none were found. this is the fate for Iran as well. To put it in a simple way, Iraq was better of with Saddam ruling it, and thats saying alot.

Now my friends you are screwed, you attack Iran and Russia will destroy you, and i will feel no empathy for those who wished war on Iran & Iraq. Although i must say i do have many American friends who are nice people, they just vastly out numbered by the not so nice people.

Those of us who live in America are a bit sick and tired of hearing about it, we know ok. Get it through your immeasurably thick skulls, WE KNOW. So turn off the record player or change the record because the needle has been skipping over this particular scratch for an eternity now and it is beyond irritating at this point.

America is creating enormous anger around the world by its actions. I dont know why you think its some kind of random hate against you, and I dont know why you dont care about people hating you. The normal reaction would be to try to understand why, but... you dont even think its your fault do you?

And by "America" I mean the government, not the people. Im talking about the country here. But if I lived in a country and people hated it, I would really want to know what my government is doing that is causing all the hate.

I rarely stoop to post in threads like this but the comments expressed by a few (likely misguided youth) need to be put in perspective. You say you hate the USA - well then how about you rid your life of all of those things we invented or perfected and then tell me how you like it - to wit:

1. Pull that telephone at home off the wall....
2. Cell phone - better toss that too....
3. IC, computers - yup those have to go - evil USA came up with those....
5. Internet - sorry, that was us no more ATS for you....
6. Any clothes/fabrics not made of wool, cotton, or leathers - yup all the manmade fibers got there start over here so those have to go....
7. Been sick lately or needed some OTC meds - about 80% of those came from us too along with a healthy chunk of the hospital procedures and tools used....
8. Like to skate or snowboard - those have to go as those were gifts of my fine SoCal friends....
9. Like Rock and Roll, Blues, R&B, Rap, Hip Hop - yup those have to go (along with the iPods - those pesky IC's again)....

That is but a short list of the more well known things you should rid your life of since you despise us so much....

While this/my country has made some bad choices along with way - the intentions are sound and reflect the world as it is today. I find it futile to harp on the past and what we've seen in many places are people/regimes that just do not get it and want to live in some cold war or tribal feuding past. The smart countries have figured it out that trade and freedoms do more to raise the quality of life of a populace. The Irish got a clue and look at how that economy has boomed once they stopped blowing crap up.

People, both internal and external, will not invest or make something better unless there is some stability and while we've tried to get that point across, it has fallen on deaf ears as some people want that cold war/feudal lifestyle and to be told what to do or be given a handout and not work to make it better. Iraq could be cleaned up in a week if the people there actually cared to put their feet down stop the crap that is going on (think neighborhood watch on steroids). The USA would walk in a heartbeat if that happened but it doesn't - and that should make people stop and think a bit. Yeah we goofed and tried to give some people a shot at something better - they do not want it, lesson learned for the next leader and that is my final point - we learn and grow and move on and because of that, this chunk of dirt has become the wealthiest nation on the planet in a short 200+ years. What have you much older countries done for us lately..??

You cant be serious. We are talking about what you guys are doing TODAY, which is invading country after country. Whats next, my country? My friends?

You cant just ignore the what the rest of the world thinks, or you will create a lot of resentment, anger and hostility, no matter what stuff you have invented in the past.

Do you realize how many parents will lose their childs, how many childs will lose their parents, or how much psychological damage you will cause to millions of people? Have you grown up in a war to know that? You would think your vietnam veterans would let you know.

Im very anti-war as you can see, because I realize what it causes. I dont know if you have any kids in your life, but imagine them seeing bombs and war around them with people dying. It damages a person for the rest of their lives and gives them severe mental scars. Who do you think they will hate when growing up?

I also do not care if Iran has nuclear weapons. Israel cares, but I do not care about Israel
And I want my country out of NATO, EU, UN and all these evil organizations.

I intend not to go to war unless attacked, and if the initial attack is with nuclear weapons then that is it.
Or should I fire first, kill my enemies - which I never had problems with them, it's just my paranoia, and live happily ever after until I am 100 years old and die anyway ?

I dont think we need to worry about the US any more, there not going to be the big dog for much longer, unless they think they can beat Russia and maybe China by them selves.

A certain person in this thread has set me to foe for my views, this i dont have a problem with, i just want to say ? I dont hate your country just becoz, hey you gota hate some thing. I hate it because of what it does, this is not random hate. Why dont you find out why peopel hate the US and see if you can change, instead of following the path that your on, its only leading you to one place.

Thats the problem with the world right there. No one cares about the people of other countries. If the U.S. felt that way, then I believe Europe would be one big German speaking country. As far as letting Iran have nukes, Iran is a lot closer to Europe then the U.S. . After they destory Israel, what do you think will be next on their to-do list? It is sad though because Iran is the real threat and since Bush cried wolf one too many times, its going to take another holocaust for the world to see.

I think this thread and the posters should relax and refrain from personal attacks it is counterproductive in getting your point across and only puts the other side on a defensive position instead of listening.

I understand that some of the individuals on ATS are young and immature, but you don't have to show it by what you write.

Intrepid has already warned everyone, keep it civil and try to get your points across without the personal slights.
