I have been trying to have an OBE for a while, but finally after 4 days, (lol short period of time) I had one, i use lots of diffrent methods, but now they all work for me.
***IMPORTANTNOTE***
must not have fear of
having an OBE!
********************

Heres the link to one of the methods i use,

Favorite Method:
My Favorite Method

Heres the other methods:
***********
OBE Methods
***********
Method Number 1: Whining

Have you ever noticed a high-pitched whining noise in your head? If you listen closely, you will notice the noise I'm referring to. We all hear this high-pitched soun constantly, but normally the sound is drowned by constant distractions and sounds all around us. Most people don't notice it, but some people have a disorder called tinnitis, which causes this sound to be unusually loud and distacting. You can use this sound to induce OBEs.

For this exercise, relax and focus your mind. Then start listening for this whining sound in your head. Once you find it, use your imagination to try to increase the pitch and volume. Increase the pitch until the sound is almost out of the range of your hearing. This can cause vibrations to sweep in and free you from your body.

The vibrations are the energy of your aura, your personal energy.

I think this is the easiest method I've ever seen.

Method Number 2: Falling into a well

"As always, get into a comfortable position and close your eyes. Relax as completly as you can, then visualize looking down a very deep well. Next, pretend that you fall in, head first. As you fall, watch the bottom of the well getting closer. Try to imagine the sensation of falling as realistically as possible. Feel the gravity pulling you toward the bottom. Get caught up in the feeling. If this works, you may be zapped into your astral body. If it doesn't work the first time, repeat the visualization several times until it seems almost real."

Training
Coincidently, I saw this same thing (the colors and words) in an e-mail that my little friend...
... showed me...
This talks about the interchanges of the electrical impulses of the left and right sides of the brain. The left side recognizes the color, the right side the words. Most people will have difficulty saying the actual colors instead of what's written. Thta's because in rational people, the right side is so active that inhibits the action of the left side. Children have no difficulty at all (very young ones...)...

The subconscient is in the left side, while the conscient is in the right side. What happens while we are having a dream is that the informations stored in our subconscient are presented to your conscient. This creates the dream. When you don't have a dream, it's because the conscient is not present during the process. Many studies shows that the left side of the brain is more active during the dream state and the right side more innactive.

In the case of an OBE, for you to be in a good situation for the OBE it's necessary to be in contact with both conscient and inconscient. The difficulty in that is that it's not easy to stay awake in that state.

The difference between a dream and an OBE state is basically:

Dreams happens when your subconscient domains your conscient.
OBEs happens when your conscient domains your subconscient.

Another OBE "method":

A good way to train the domination of your subconscient is by, for example, trying to write with your left hand (if you are right-handed... which is VERY common in rational people). Anything that uses the left side of your body provides a good training.

Ill post the rest in a sec.

lol, srry thats all i know, but still ii would recommend training 4 the OBEs, heres the perfect training method.

I tried your falling down the well method and it made me shoot straight up! Not out of my body but it made my whole body jerk and made me flinch like crazy. God damn. That was really uncomfortable. It's like having those dreams when you're falling and you wake up when you hit the ground and your whole body spasms usually followed by lots of cursing. Ughhh. Not trying that again. I'll give your other method a try.

But you should warn someone that your when you are riding that line between awake/asleep and you are really relaxed and you are seeing yourself falling and your brain isn't totally sure if it's real it feels like you're gonna die. It's very unpleasant to say the least.

I am convinced all falling dreams are just our re-entry into the body after traveling.

Hi RiverGoddess,

I have dreams like that where I wake up flailing but I remember what I was dreaming and it's usually pretty boring stuff. Like the first time I remember that happening I was dreaming I was riding a bike then the wheel got caught on something and I flipped over my handle bars and just as I was hitting the pavement I woke up with arms flailing.

Perhaps it is an oobe but I it was so inane.

P.S. I like your avatar.

Sounds like some good advice there. I have been interested in this for some time now and have been researching different methods, Ever since i had a little experience myself (go to my recent threads) i have been fascinated with this you could say.

Lets keep this thread going and share our experiences if we have any

so with myself being a life long tinnitis sufferer AND left handed, i already have an advantage?

also your other comment suggests only right handed people think rationally

lmao, and ur welcome guys,

Merryxmas,
i think that the well technique is more of a training technique, then a OBE technique. Some ppl jerk up, instead of falling 2. Even when u fall u have that jerk, thats wat u feel when having an OBE. Like it said on the link i gave u, u will jerk and everything. I would try leaving the body first like it says in the link. That, includes the whining technique, in a diffrent, form in it. When i had an OBE useing that method, i ended up actually, like floating around my room 4 awhile. Some ppl's OBEs is where they float, walk sink, im normally a floater. if u do get into an OBE, i would recommend not trying to sink, if u do you'll end up back in ur body. i just float and go around the house. its fun 4 me and there is a cool site that if u guys want, u can look @,

Cool Site:
Cool Site

Cool Comeption:
This site, talks to a ghost, ( if anyone can figure out wat the trick of the site is, u win ). No, searching it on the web!

first of all, you obviously dont know much about tinnitis..

as a sufferer and as someone who comes from a family history of tinnitis, deafness + hearing problems i can tell you its a hearing defect where your hearing thinks its hearing a sound but in reality is not..

We all hear this high-pitched soun constantly, but normally the sound is drowned by constant distractions and sounds all around us. Most people don't notice it,

so by that statement if you go to sleep in a nice quiet room with no sounds or distrations you would hear it more?

so the entire world are tinnitis sufferers now?

if that were true then suffering tinnitis would be normal, and then there would be no need to label it tinnitis would there?

i can tell you from experience you CANNOT tune it to a different pitch, you CANNOT make it just go away (turn volume down) by thinking about it as you claim.
its there 24/7, all day everyday wether you want it or not.

also saying only right handers think rationally is the most Irrational and ignorant statement i have ever heard.

i suggest you research some of your claims so you actually know what your talking about....

deny ignorance ppl.

cry more? jeez. it's readily apparent that you took bits and pieces of what he said just so you can make a flame post. way to miss not only the intention of the post but the very spirit of it. i would offer you a nice tall glass of haterade but it looks like you're already full.

actually i asked questions to the OP and got attitude from you.

maybe you should address my questions with logic if you feel so strongly, i merely pointed out how some of his statements are just plain incorrect.

I've always believed that. Seems like some good tips here. Didn't know anything about right and left side stuff. Thanks.

ok Obliv_au, lets slow it down. 1st off, u just proved my point about left handed ppl, u wernt being rational at all. 2nd, the left handed theory isnt my theory, i got it from this website: Website

3rd, i didnt say that u couldnt hear it so, stop trying to make us feel sorry for u. Its true though, everyone can hear this high-pitched sound. So stop crying, me and merryxmas just keep on laughing @ ur crying. So cry us a river!

Wow. That sounds very interesting. I happen to suffer from tinnitus as well and have slightly messed with the sound manipulating it and suppressing it and whatnot. Sometimes it works, but it feels like it takes up a lot of energy to do and it is hard to focus on keeping the sound suppressed or changed. I'm interested in trying this method though and I'll let you know how it goes!

lmao, talk about plagiarism.

austin, clearly your replys are the irrational ones and you know very little about what you type.

instead of doing a blatant copy paste of someone elses work and claiming it as your own you should actually research what your spouting off about, coz it just made you look ignorant.

absolutely no logic or reasoning in your comebacks whatsoever, and this is a discussion board.
