John Lear isn't disinfo, just someone with an over active imagination and ill informed when it comes to science or even basic properties of materials, as we have seen from his posts in the past about "nukes" "space lasers" and "No Planes" at the WTC

I don't think that's the case at all. As Lear himself admits, he's an aviation pioneer and hero. You don't get there by being an idiot in science. Furthermore, we do have honestly stupid posters post here, as a rule, as time progresses, they learn more about science and start making intelligent posts.

I still think what Mr. Lear is doing is deliberate disinformation.

Why are some people trying to belittle john lears ideas / comments. If you think that they are a load of rubbish or totally unfounded then simply dont read any further into the thread or dont comment on them ! seems pretty simple to me.

Some of the images that nasa have made public do show things that dont look as though they are in the correct context like the tunnels on the moon etc and some of the things on the mars rover pictures. I'm still on the fance when it comes to some of the ufo images though, some just look like space junk, think i will need to look into these some more before i change my stance there.

I think what im trying to say here is that if you have a mind that can accept new concepts and the possibility that what the officials tell us is disinfo then your on the road to finding the truth. Most times disinfo normally has an element of truth but has been embellishment to make it appear either inconsistent with the context its found in or just to make it sound unbeliveable.

while i find johns "soul catcher on the moon" idea a little far fetched (although not unplausable) i do think that hes on to something with the moon / mars / other planets and other things like d.u.m.b.s.

That is the their goal. To post enough rubbish that will confuse the ignorant, and those that do not know a lot of things about space and science. That is their target audience. Sorry to say, but you have been made into a useful idiot if you believe in this stuff.

Your brain is programmed for pattern recognition, whether you acknowledge that or not. Faces in the clouds, faces on mars, etc. You get the idea. Add some nonsense of people outlining structures on pictures of blurry rocks and your brain kicks into high gear. Without a decent amount of common sense you are taken for a ride, my friend.

As been said here a dozen times, there is a huge differnece to having an open mind, and an open mind big enough for your brain to fall out. I want to believe more than anyone else on this board, trust me, but I have logic, reason, and common sense that keeps me from accepting some of the total nonsense that people post on here.

Amen brotha! I have never "ignored" a fellow member before, but, if there is one guy to start with, ItheF is cruisin' for first. Never have I met a more aggresive instigator on ATS. Honestly, I think if Ignore's mailbox got "baseballed", he'd pipe up that John had something to do with it.

Why do you think that JL deserves no respect? John has never said that he is 100% correct, he just presents ideas and lets people make up there own mind. Now, regardless of facts that he presents, be them true or false there is no cause to disrespect him.

Perhaphs a little common sense and reason is more of a slap in the face then some people can handle. I understand, if I believed in something so blindly I would have ill feelings towards anyone who doubted me.

It is too funny to read how you all think I have actually called people names on here, lol. Do you even read...and understand...my posts? I didn't think so. But, I have to say I used to be a lot more polite. But after giving my opinion as an early member here about some stuff I saw, I was the one being attacked by the blind believers crowd...dismissing what I said in an instant and calling me some kind of paid shill or something. I was astounded how they couldn't be bothered to understand any of my posts, yet spent a generous amount of time telling me how rude I was and "reading" things into my posts that were not there (as the guy a few posts up was somehow able to do, he should play poker if he can read minds over the internet, you think?)

And I think I have had enough empathy to listen to you 2 guys try to hurt peoples feelings on here.. Now I dont have to listen to it.. uberarcanist is being ignored aswell.. Those who cant find a level of respect for someone is not worth listening to IMO.. They spread the disinfo.

OK...responding to two different posters here:

First, there is the claim that "John Lear is merely making statements of opinion".
Although this is true, JL should by no means be let off the hook. He is posting what he should know to be inaccurate information.

Second, in response to the self-contradictory statement that everyone is entitled to respect-WELL THEY'RE NOT. Respect is not an entitlement, it must be earned.
Zysin obviously doesn't believe her own statement that respect is an entitlement
because she also states that she has lost respect for me.

I say, make good posts or get the heck off the forum.

I don't know about anyone else, but people like 'IgnoretheFacts' come off as just kids to me (if just mentally). They come along thinking they're 'all that' spouting words like "common sense" and "science" -- as if they have a clue. It doesn't take a genius to realise how easy it would be, if what we're saying is true, for people to realise that todays mainstream notion of 'common sense' & 'science' is all knowledge we have aquired through the system -- which ultimately, is controlled by the government. How so easy it would be... yet so hard to imagine? Shows how many people today have true intelligence.

Yet here they are using the same old useless arguments in their attempts at desperately holding to their little reality. They're so predictable -- it's as if they're brainwashed... programmed to automatically give the same responses when the situation arises. ...Oh wait.

What an insult to those handful of people we've been fortunate enough to have -- the truly intelligent ones, that even mainstream acknowledges as our greatest. The likes of Socrates, Einstein etc.
Even they tried to teach us what having true intelligence means, yet we ignored then and continue to do so now...
