Marine ordered to kill women and children

If you are given an UNLAWFUL order, and you believe it to be so you can refuse it. Yes it may be "painful" but if your going to stand up then stand up and be ready to defend yourself. I dont know how things were in Haditha. I know how things are and were in Ramadi. It was made clear to us, we DO NOT KILL INNOCENTS. Yes, children have picked up weapons to use against us. And for my brothers that have had to deal with that, it takes alot to do what had to be done.

It sucks that the actions of a few have tarnished the reputation that I bust my ass everyday to uphold. That of a professional Marine.

As for help for those of us who come back. There was a time when a Marine didn't want to be seen as weak by his superiors for going to seek help for a mental condition. We have things in place now so that we can deal with these incidents when we return. It's not perfect yet but were trying.
