Well if I was a clever little terrorist I,d pick Tenerife..
It's a soft target and only £80 return flight from Newcastle..

One or two carefully placed suitcase nukes..

Cumbre Vieja ...
dislodge an unstable 12-mile-long slab of rock...
which will crash to the sea bed causing a dome of water a mile high...
When it goes, it will likely collapse in 90 seconds,” McGuire says...
The resulting tsunami, travelling at 500mph, would reach Britain in six hours, with waves rearing up to 33ft...

The La Palma tsunami would reach the Americas nine to 12 hours after the dislodgement, laying waste to the eastern seaboard of the United States with waves of 165ft...
HEAVILY PARAPHRASED BY MYSELF

Hope I'm not giving anyone any ideas..

I think it'll be a "soft" Target like a Mall somewhere like Chicago,Atlanta,Miami or Los Angeles.

I have to say that an attack on the "heartland" seems more viable to instill fear in the masses. First thing, you will stir up those who think they are safe from terrorists, because they live in a less metro area or central area of the country (harder to get a bomb to?).

Example: any cities in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa with ~100,000 people in them.

Another thing... Suburbs - Just the suburbs of Kansas City alone have over 100,000 in them, Olathe being a prime example of "suburbia" easily destroying a larger number of civilians while allowing normal economics elsewhere in the country.

I have often thought of Kansas City as a prime target, but then you have to realize, our downtown is not filled with masses of people. We don't have mass transportation either. On Main street at lunch time you maybe have 50 people walking around. Most people drive or ride the bus, and most office buildings have food courts. I just don't see a dirty bomb doing much damage in our downtown area as there isn't a lot of pedestrian traffic, maybe in an office building, but not out on the streets. The suburbs is another issue, we have huge malls and so much traffic on a Saturday afternoon it would be truly devistating. We also have 4 huge floating casinos a dirty bomb in one of the casinos could easily cause 5, 000 deaths, now imagine a dirty bomb in all 4 casinos at the same time. Scary thought.

So many people keep guessing this city or that city.

I personally think that the next "attack" will be on the outskirts of a city along one of the coasts (east coast, west coast, or both).
The attack I predict would be from a ship carrying something nasty like (hopefully not) a nuke, or dirty bomb.

Or perhaps across the Mexican border.... There is after all so much room not protected there...

I sincerely hope not to ever be attacked, but we all know that it's only a matter of time before our country gets hit again. Attacks are a common occurrance in so many other places in the world, and the population only grows daily.

Who really knows? The persons who will do it...
Take care
