Back when Fidel Castro dumped 50,000 hardened criminals and psychopaths on us in the 1980s - the "Marielitos" - we built facilities to house them. Oakdale, LA and a few other places.

No conspiracy about it until twenty years elapsed and the hard-of-thinking invented a story to "explain" these detention centers - which were built with appropriate press coverage and government hearings back then.

I assume that these facilities in Australia are the same sort of thing - "rediscovered" by the knee-jerk-off Left to "prove" that John Howard was up to something bad. Now, the Labour guy can "explain" it.
