A song that makes me think of space can be downloaded from the link in my signature^^ Just click on the link, and download the track called "Betrayal". I think you'll like it

Don't listen to it too much though, it's very depressing

Like a 3-D map of space? Sounds plausible to me!
Break your heads over that one!!!

Heck, PureET, that's a brilliant idea!! Wow! Imagine if we could convert this to 3-D images, what would we see? I shudder to think! Could be mind blowing. May even put our special affects geeks in the shade! I think it's possible. Let's leave it to the experts to figure that out. And I hope that's sooner than later as the suspense is killing me!!

Cheers!

That would actually be a nice idea^^ Especially if you add light that the human eye can't see. Then you would see a lot of different colors and stars, instead of just black and a few dots here and there

Darn! You're missing something! Oh man, if I were you, I'd have stolen the neighbor's home theater system just to hear this!

OK, I'll lend you my Bose Acoustimass 6.1-channel surround sound, 16 Series II speakers . Though it cost me a fortune, I can always lend it to you for free, since you're an ATS member!! But for Chrissake, don't bugger the darn thing up like you've done yours!!

Cheers!

Drone Zone won´t beam you into a new universe but it´s what I immediately thought of when I heard the sounds from Jupitar. And if people liked that, then I thought they´d like drone zone on iTunes radio. I said it as a benefit to others, not me.

And for the one poster who had problems hearing it, I did too in the beginning, but had to turn up my stereo system pretty loud. (I could hear the *hiss* from the speakers in the background.) So try that. Because, it is something you do not want to miss out on!

Just as a side note "Symphonies of the Planet" Sound more like wailing banshee s or sirens than anything else...Don't know what Planet I'm listening to or what not, since it's a compilation to which the first one runs for about 30 minutes and that's about all I know now. Though It really sounds like wailing...As if their stating a story of a tragic event that either happened, or is about to take place in the Universe...

That is amazing.
It reminds me of the opening to some movie. Maybe Aliens?

Wow that's some deep stuff... after hearing that I went on a search and found this: www.jpl.nasa.gov...
Listen to the 2nd (Ganymede) and 4th (Saturn). Cool stuff.

I wish I could find a higher quality version of the Jupiter one... but thanks codylawyer99 for converting it to mp3.

Not getting all religious or anything but it kind of reminds me of how god spoke the universe into existence with a sound, and Romans 8:22 says "We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time" the definition of groan is
1. a low, mournful sound uttered in pain or grief: the groans of dying soldiers.
2. a deep, inarticulate sound uttered in derision, disapproval, desire, etc.

just a thought anyway..

This truly is a beautiful sound. Felt very relaxing...too relaxing even. It even made some of my hair stand on end at certain points. Makes me wonder if it were man made with sugesstive messages layered in there somewhere. There are programs that can be downoaded that can directly record the sound that's coming out of your sound card(digitally I mean).

However, the sweetest sound & song I've ever heard to this date is probably Enya's Boadicea...aside from the music I make.

I don't see why not as it doesn't seem copyrighted. Instead the web page says, "Put this video code on your website. Works on eBay, MySpace, Friendster, Blogger!"

By the way, have you tried listening to this with your Dolby surround sound headphones and the lights turned off? It's, omygosh, literally out of this world! Mind blowing!

Cheers! Happy voyage to the outer limits of the galaxy, to boldly go where no man has gone before!

OMG - that sounds like actual voice transmissions looped. I wonder if it was slowed down what it would produce.

Yep, that's what I thought. You can almost but not quite, hear what it's saying.
Supposedly, it's the biggest moon of the solar system and is the only one with its own magnetosphere.

MikeSingh,

You remind me so very much of Richard Hoagland.
I'm sure that's unfounded.
Maybe.
