I am not here to change your views about natural cures or about how we should trust big drug companies. I am only here to tell you that Kevin Trudeau is out to get rich, not to help anyone. I am sure there are some helpful things in his book, as well as you could probably read a lil faster from mega speed reading, but he is far from Ghandi. He is a scam artist and you need to watch out for such things. He didn't discover the 'cures' and he isn't hurting any big coorporations. Anything he does is because of greed. He is taking any truth from natural cures and exaggerating it to make it look like he has found some big secret that you NEED TO BUY NOW!!! It is no different from his secret society scam.

Don't take me the wrong way, I am not arguing that prescription drugs are the only way or that they are even good in any way. Kevin Trudeau is scum and more people need to know it.

Those of you who experience headaches/migraines, try eliminating aspartame from your diet. That stuff gives me headaches like no other. Many people might not even realize the link.

Whenever there's a problem, I look at the diet first.

Being from the UK I'm obviously not incredibly familiar with US law , but I find it hard to believe that there is a law prohibiting the cure and treatment of disease etc. using anything but man made drugs.

Tankthinker, can you perhaps post a link to a government website proving the existence of said law?

If all his book talks about is alternative medicine and lifestyle changes, then you don't even need to buy his book, that info is available on the interwebs for free.

IMO, almost anyone claiming to hold the secrets to everything, for X dollar, is a scam / rip off.

Like websites that want you to pay for porn, when the exact same porn vids are available on an official Free porn site.

If a doctor in the US wanted to use natural healing methods they can. Nothing against the law in doing so, and I imagine they often do. I have questioned a number of medical doctors and they say they don't believe much in natural cures. Don't know why exactly but I know they are not taught natural healing in med school much if at all. The pharmaceutical companies certainly are not going to be proponents of natural cures as there is nothing in it for them and it would probably expose them to legal challenges as little in the natural field is proven. So IMHO do not expect either doctors or pharmaceutical companies to take up the cause of natural healing!
An aside note, there seems to be a movement certainly in Europe and it is picking up here in the US to curtail the use of natural products. To make it so that you can only use these products with a prescription. If that happens we all loose so beware! What they are saying is that we as consumers do not have the intelligence to properly sellect and use natural products. I've not seen that to be the case and will always be a part of the opposition to laws against natural healing!

Unless the US controls the whole world why are not these natural medical cures common knowledge in other countries? I have traveled extensively around the world and I truly trust our health care over any other. This is not to say we do have a problem with a fixation on medicine for everything where diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes would do a better job. We are the land of the quick and easy, and meds are a much quicker and easier route.

As example when I have lower back pain I lose weight, and tone up my stomach muscles…pain gone.

Or I could take pain meds and muscles relaxers while I continue to gain weight and not work my now relaxed muscles to just continually need more and more for a situation that can only get worst and worst, someone please tell me the natural cure for that…

I have a book called The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicines and it has WAY more stuff in it then that other book and its written by Micheal Murray and Joseph Pizzorno. There is a lot of "cures" for ailments that dont require a visit to the doctor. My advice- try a natural cure first, then if that doesnt work then go see a doctor. Unless of course its a serious thing then you should go to the doctor right away. I have a couple nurse friends and they tell me that prescriptions often are overprescribed because it does make people money, and for that reason there is pressure on doctors to write prescriptions rather then refer someone to a cheaper naturall cure. There is no conspiracy, the knowledge is right there for those who seek it. Just read the fine print, and research alternatives on your own. Just cause your doctor is an MD doesnt mean he knows everything

No the US doesnt control the world, the pharmecutical companies do, theres a difference. These companies use and pay off governments.

In kevins book he also talks a lot about how the pharmecutical companies work and how they do all these horrible things. Afterall he used to be one of them, hes a whistle blower (the reason he did this was a near death experience on his part concerning healthcare), he went to jail cause he was caught doing bad things for the companies. In turn they gave him special perks in jail, like being able to hang out at the bar were all the guards went etc.

but i feel this is going the wrong way, i would like to get the topic off of trudeau and towards natural cures and conspiracy within the pharmecutical companies.

There is a lot more to him than this...do a google search. Unless the pharmaceutical companies control every goverment as some suggest and control everything written on the web, and most likely own google too then we are really screwed with no hope, of not, then this guy has been making 100s of millions from one scam to the next.

Where the heck would someone get those injections ? My wife is a physician and has never heard of such a product.

Dont get me wrong, we believe the pharmaceutical giants dont honestly have our best interests at heart. However many of those "natural" cures dont work. And in some cases have similiar bad side effects as those of pharm drugs. Ginko for example is addicting just as zoloft is. The brain becomes dependent on it to alleviate mood (depression).

The greatest natural cure out there is the old willow bark. For all it does if it was invented today it would be concidered magical.

BTW why is it allowed on the store shelves when all these other great natural cures are not?

The part where you mention how a doctor benefits is 100% totally false.

My wife is a physician and our house has nothing to do with the drug rep she sees on a weekly basis.

Yes they do give out free samples. My wife ends up giving them to patients who dont have medical insurance and therefore cant afford their prescriptions. She otherwise gets no benefit from this.

Back 10 years ago she used to get a few nice perks like free baseball tickets or a free dinner. That still didnt compromise her position on what to treat a patient with.

What you have posted is just plain false. We live paycheck to paycheck, barely able to pay the student loan debt she has ($275,000) from med school.

Drug reps have nothing to do with referrals whatsoever. Drug reps dont send patients to my wife.
