I hate to contradict johnlear, but he just made a big boo-boo.
He said alpha particles travel at the speed of light. That is a physical impossibility.
Alpha particles have mass and can not travel at the speed of light like massless radiation.
From Wikipedia:
en.wikipedia.org...
...their high mass means alpha particles have a lower speed (with a typical kinetic energy of 5 MeV the speed is 15,000 km/s) than any other common type of radiation (β particles, γ rays, neutrons, etc)...

Thanks for the heads up DJ. The point of the story was not the speed of the alpha particles but the fact they changed course.
I will check with Bob on what he told me the speed was.

I know it was mentioned on G4 (attack of the show), though I could never find a link to that oart of the show.
Maybe some clever ATS'er can find it and post it-if it's legal to do so, of course.

John mentions there's no articles on anti-gravity in all aviation news publications, but Janes Defense Weekly did do an article about SAIC researching anti-gravity, by Nick Cook. This article was referenced in a discovery ufo documentary. Nick Cook has also done research about Lockheed and Boeing doing anti-gravity research as well. Not trying to be negative, I'm just saying you might want to take a look at what Nick Cook has written, and the interviews he has done. I'm listening to the program now, always interesting stuff John.
