This is turning into a really great show, and what is really impressive to me is that for the most part his story seems to add up.
The only thing that really made my ears perk up was when he said that they got away without telling that cop who had the 9mm- or did I misunderstand
that? I can't imagine any officer not allowing a gun to remain outside his possession for a whole hour.
Did anybody hear that differently than I did?
I also loved earlier when they discussed the abduction deal and GRUDGE.
What interests me about that is why take Americans? Most of the world population would barely be missed- the 3rd world doesn't have the same
communications as Americans- you could take somebody out of a village in Afghanistan and for the most part nobody would be the wiser.
The fact that the US Government would make a deal, rather than saying, "look, take the Russians, or take Africans, whoever, just leave our people
alone" brought an interesting series of possibilities to mind.
It makes sense to cut a deal to make sure that Americans get taken. You want the higher intelligence to know about things from our point of view. You
want our people bringing back reports of what they saw.
So you tell the ETs, "Hey, the Russians are paranoid, this could start a war and our planet would be no good to you. Give us enough tech to keep our
little cadre in control of the economy through "innovation" and give us enough technology to control this world militarily, and in return we promise
to be calm and keep this world stable while you go about your business here."
