If this is really indeed true, most likely it was the echelon system. My guess is the system picks up certain key words and then throws your convo into a "pool" to be examined further as you speak. The more keywords picked up consecutively the tighter they focus on it. Probably when a fixed number of keywords is recorded it throws an alarm to someone.

As far as I know , nothing on radio is live .
There is a lag of a second or two locally , more if a relay satellite is used .
Whenever I've called a radio station , there is a third party that asks what you
are going to input , and keeps you hanging on the line for a while .
If that particular radio station had advertised that show previous to it going
on air , don't you think the Gummint would be intercepting EVERY call , as that
" third party "about such a sensitive subject ?
Near the end of the tape , it sounds almost like the caller is about to laugh ...
Why would someone else call about digging holes in the desert , after
telling us about using acid on their victim ? Why would you then need a hole ?
... and the station getting shut down completely ?
surely any mentally unstable ex-employee of area 51 would be closely de-briefed
in a secure location , and not set free until his/her memory was erased.
