yeah, i know it's a TV show, but the premise remains the same. People here are making definitive claims about something they now absolutely nothing about, which is typical of ATS sometimes.. I hope this is true, but I'm having my doubts.

I'm afraid that it'll take more than missing persons and some air battles to convince the public of a threat. Even that can be faked by our government. I'll need visual proof of alien exsistence to feel threatened.

Don't get me wrong, I beleive in extraterrestrials, but I don't believe they're hostile. To assume that is silly. But I expect under the right conditions most Americans will percieve a threat. Because most American's are ignorant. After all, Bush got elected ... twice.

Damned shame our government is so stupid. Politicians and Military Complex need to get a life. The "War on Terror" isn't enough?

Also, is the the event that our dictator will assume his status as Emperor?

Actually, he's had seven posts in this thread, and the title mentions August (not April), but I guess verifiable facts don't really matter as long as you can call "FAKE".

Seriously, go take a tylenol (for the headache), and then go get some rest. ATS has rules against excessive quoting, and against "one liners"; both of which you've continually broken (and added an entire extra page to the thread with) within the last few hours. I see that you already have one warning, and I'd hate to see you get another (or get banned) over a thread that you see as being a useless "fake".

Nah not buyin' it. Picture two time periods, 2007 and 1914, a difference roughly of ninety years. This would seem to be a conservative number (90yrs) to assume the aliens to be in advance of our present technology.

Now take two militarys, one from 2007 and another from 1914, put them on a battlefield, no restrictions on the weapons, except that they need to come from the respective time periods. Who do you think would win?

Just take one area, the airplane. Our F-series jets against hmmm..it would be ugly, like fish in a barrel. Of course you have the asymmetric warfare aspect, but to think that our weps can compete with some advanced aliens, nah.

Without going off track, yeah, Stargate is a surefire winner, I posted once, in another thread a discussion about whether art imitates life, or if life imitates art, using this analogy to show how sci-fi, like star trek, stargate, the book 1984, and other stuff, is just a modern day example of what's really happenning, or whether we are just in a fantasy about the existence of aliens, and the sci-fi legends just interpret our ideas into a book or series.

The point is, the greys, - bieng the predominant alien, as mentioned the world over, are in their approach, clinical, and cold, they have not the luxury of emotions, as we humans do, and maybe they are possibly dying, or cannot go any further with their current physical and mental form, and need human hybrid cross-genetic experimentation, incubated in cows to ensure they can 'evolve' from the point in which they are currently stuck - i.e. maybe they don't have what some people call the soul...?

Anyhow, whatever they are, they are size zero, and close combat is certainly not on their agenda, because they would sooo lose, and, ironically this is our only possible win scenario against them.

The advantage to them, would be that humans, cuddly as we may be, are nothing more than a liquid refreshment, or a possible hybrid, "...if I could just get these pesky genes to fuse...!"

Humans also don't realise their innate skills such as neuromancing! or at least knowing their 6th senses - which the aliens DO know about.

This is what aliens apparently use, when they penetrate our minds, psychic techniques, such as telepathy as is the case in so called abductions, where people also feel paralyzed by the alien collection party that arrives in their bedrooms, when its time to play 'wabbit' for the fantastcally slim, yet 'oh so big' big headed race!!!

That and the assistance of the global state order, will ensure that man's final chapter in this sci-fi series ill have been written to reflect the sad fact that makind volanteered the arrival of its demise - the ultimate slave race, thanks to a select few which happened to OWN all of us, because their members were the ones that made 1st contact.

However, after all the technology and experience in theatres of war, the aliens will OWN them, something that they are fully aware of NOW, and they will not stop until they have WON - probably through further *betrayl, of both the greys and the reps.

*Their biggest weapon since the dawn of time.

Again, your basing an assumption on an assumption... Not very solid ground. You know what weapons the Aliens have do you?

Who's to say Aliens have put any effort into weaponry? Or even that they advance at the same pace as Humans? They might very well be able to pound us from orbit, but that is very much akin to the US modus operandi. Aerial bombardment followed by a ground sweep. When it comes to putting boots on the ground, no matter how much you have "suppressed" the enemy, your going to take losses and that is from a race of beings used to and equipped to do the job. Aliens, it seems from reports, are physically weak and may well not be very good at the ground aspect.

As for your WW1 analogy, it's good, but not entirely sound. Modern militaries can and have been defeated by enemies that are much less advanced.

Who's to say that a modern Brigade/division could punch through heavily fortified trench systems packed with men and machine guns? You'd take losses and victory would be far from a forgone conclusion. Aerial power would help, but history shows that Aerial power is never a definitive decider in battle.

I'm sure he could have, but usually these things go down with it happening in, like, 2012, comfortably far away that you can't prove anything. The August date is interesting in that it is near future and we will see pretty quickly. Of course, this could be part of the hoax as well. Look at the response it has had. This many pages and it started yesterday. Good way for the OP to rack up points in a hurry just in replies alone.
