very strange phonecall today!

Hmmmmm!!!!!!! Could said co-worker have gotten some more news that hikix is not aware of? After all, the 'Muslim person' did call the co-worker once already. If this event were as big as stated, then it could have been worth missing a days work to check out.

Is this "high strangeness", or just "highjinks"?

yeah you got it, you must be a genius. That was my intention from the get go, to get flags and points. You read me like a book, i have absolutely no life outside of the internet and getting flags and points is like winning the lottery for me.

Patience is a virtue, hikix stated that this may take time and did not make any false claims, stated from the get go for everyone NOT to have any hyped up expectations. So perhaps the ones questioning the validity of the claims aren't listening to what was said. I don't believe hikix to be a points/flag 'solicitor' so everyone chill out, drink a margarita and wait, geez. :shk:

thanks you are spot on. It is not under my control that my co-worker had to take off work today to take care of his sick newborn baby. I do not have the phone number to this guy, nor have i ever spoken to him. I may possibly not be in the office tomorrow because i will be on the road for most of the day. These are events in my life that i cannot change, i am sorry but just gimme some more time.

Perhaps you should have just created a thread when you had all the details. Otherwise, you're just stringing everyone along. There's just no way around it.

I would wager that this is a hoax based on his responses, he has an answer to everything. If he manages to produce this video of his then I will gladly give a public apology.

I have to wonder what prompted you to start this thread in the first place? I can understand events happening outside of your direct control, in circumstances like this perhaps it's a bit of a lesson with self control rather than announcing to the world stuff.... that may or may not be important.

promomag and lawman, this thread will just slip down the board if you stop worrying about it. Nobody is holding a gun on you and making you post here.

He said he would let us know how it turned out. So he may have been a bit overeager for a big story. That's not much of a crime.

Why it should worry people is beyond me. I'm sure if this is using up to much bandwidth, SO or someone will shut him down, ban him, send a hit man to his house.

when i started the thread i told my story about what i heard. Then everyone started going crazy flagging the thread and giving me a million replies.

I figured i would give a heads up just incase something came out. But i also planned on pursuing it.

So i am currently pursuing it, just put it out of your head for now and let this thread sink to the bottom. And when something of substance comes up i will revive it.

But my original intention was to let the ATS users know that if a video surfaced that was filmed by a muslim man in NY, that i had inside infothat this video is most likely not a hoax.

Irma, I know that things like this take time, but had he used a little common sense and waited til he had the information then we would be skeptical. I know I would have waited til I had the video before I made a post. This is a point gathering post.

Yes it is JJ Lawman and you seem to be raking up a few points too.

It is always lovely to read a thread that provides substance, of course it is, but sometimes its nice to have some anticipation, even if its fruitless at the end. I go to work and hurry home just so I can check if there has been any more developments and then I become very despondant when there has been no news. But then, I do it again, everyday. Just hoping I might get some closure.

I hope something happens soon. Really, I don't think I can go on much longer like this. I am losing sleep over it. Its affecting my work. I can't concentrate at all. I just keep thinking 'what if' and 'what about'... or even 'maybe'.

Even when I am driving I reflect on the situation and find myself drifting in and out of a daydream. I really should, perhaps speak to someone about it. I was thinking of calling my shrink and telling her an ATS thread has me unable to function...but I don't think I can even bring myself to talk about it. yanno?

I don't think he's trying to 'point up' just two points per post.

Did you read anything in the INTRO pages about points? There are many other faster ways to get points than our couple each time we post on his thread. I realize that you are new here, but maybe you lurked long enough to read some of that.

So far, he's gotten less than a 100 points out of this thread, and way more grief than those were worth.

Never in my life have I seen somebody bellyache about something so ridiculous. The guy is trying his best here Bro so give him a break. This thread got tons of flags, really quickly, and there seems to be more people that are interested than upset about the delay. I understand completely how it is when you hear something and just want to share it. Sometimes nothing happens at all and other times it's at the top.

There are as you can tell people who understand how it is and then there are the others that......well, you know.

As with just about everything in life if you do good you are love by all and if you don't do good you are ???????

I'm sure most have heard in the lifetime that the only one you can count on is yourself, so with you dealing with others and one being a lawyer I don't expect much.
