Scientology's response to BBC Panorama exclusive

The BBC recently aired a Panorama show called "Scientology and Me"

Now, The 'church' of Scientology have replied with a broadcast of the same events called "Panorama Exposed"

Alot of people havebeen warned on you tube not to go to the site, they sussposingly can get ahold of you ip address. So be warned


So I am being skeptical in going to look at the site, at the bottom of it, the address is Church of Scientology....

If they want to rebute anything the BBC has said, why not go on News networks to tell their side of their story. Or T.V. Networks...

So no I wont be visiting the link. Not that I do not have anything to hide.... I woulkdnt like them to turn up in my area an cause crap...

The "panorama exposed" link is non-youtube so that is fine to view, but I shouldn't worry too much about going to youtube unless you are military. Anyway are you goona let some supepower get the best of you and not watch anything - THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT

Ah the myths of IP's. Your IP is logged wherever you go on the internet, there's not much you can do about it and there's not much need to worry about it, you cant be tracked accurately to a physical location with just an IP.

Err... I'm not sure why you're worried... Who are "they"? What would they do with your IP address?

And then there's no reason why you can't use an anonymous proxy...

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only that finds the IP comment a bit too paranoid... I'm just the slowest...

Scientology has a reputation for dissing anyone who even dares to criticise them. The BBC is just the latest target.

I really have no sympathy for anyone who believes in scientology, none what so ever. If you believe it, then it is for you.. you are a moron, sorry, thats just life.

Yeah, he reminded me of one of the Sentinals from The Matrix

Ok so this is how i see the 2 program's.

Scientology = Cut and paste stolen clips with no relevence.

(When i say stolen i mean taken from other place's)

Panorama = Very deep actual evidence that has relevence.

(When i say actual i mean filmed mostly during the creation)

In summary i say that if you give scientology any money you dont care about giving money away. Example's must be the very rich seeking some form of emotional comfort or spiritual guidance.

Tom Cruise maybe ?

P.S the fact that Scientology knocked this responce up so fast should just send alarm bell's dingle ling linging.

I seen the BBC one on TV the other night, I just now watched the response from Scientology.

I have to say, The Scientology one comes across a lot better and makes the BBC look like they go out of their way to fabricate and suit their agenda.

In saying that, it’s also creepy how Scientology had access to all the security cameras where ever the BBC went (surly they couldn’t all of been Church Cameras)

Also, when the BBC go’s to that church in San Francisco, they Scientology crew say “unrepentantly Sweeny turns up at a church”

Now, what the heck where they doing there if it was unexpected, it just shows that they where following and watching every move.

But out of both Videos, I think the Scientology one comes off better, But why the heck is everyone in their video in front of a blue screen? Was very annoying.

If you remember the Panorama show, he showed how the scientologists stalked him. Thats what they do. They stalk, harrass, and intimidate anyone who dares speak out against them. They are like that.

At the beginning of the Panaroama exposed clip, it took a bunch of quotes about the BBC out of context. Yeah, there are major problems with the BBC, true. All major media networks have major bias issues. But it goes to show that the Scientologists use the same tactics of a biased media to push their messages and agendas. Given a choice between the two, the BBC has far more credibility than the COS does, and has a better track record.

And the fact that the CoS created their response so quickly shows that even before the BBC broadcast or finished editing that episode of Panorama, that the scientologists were already doing what they do best: digging up dirt, mudslinging, spying, and attacking their enemies.

Their religon revolves around brainwashing techniques developed by Hubbard. They know how to create and work different media to paint themselves favorably.

They also have legions of mind control slaves willing to work nonstop for their public relations.

I only saw the BBC's Panorama. I don’t want to waste my time watching the Scientology video.

Even though I don’t trust media groups I thought the way Tommy from the COS acted towards the reporter, crew and the other poor people who got in his way very irritating. If I see that punk I would be very tempted to smash his face in.

As Trey and Matt state, if your going to make fun of things, you need to make fun of everything, otherwise your biasing yourself. The fact that scientology took the episode so seriously just shows how pathetic they really are. They need to learn to take a joke..but obviously they can't, because they know deep down they are nothing more than a brainwashing cult.

Listen to Trey and Matt speak. They are smart guys, and i respect them for what they do. They are getting people to challenge the way they think, they are actually helping raise peoples awareness/consciousness;

I have to agree with you on this one, they got this together far too quickly even if Panorama gave them access to the show previously.
I think that CoS actually planted the youtube clip with Sweeney going off at that idiot.

Seriously though, is that what Scientology really believe? I guess at least it sounds more entertaining than the Bible stories, lol.

Well it was clear in the Panorama film that the journalist was stalked, harassed, followed and closely monitored. And I don't blame him for losing it near the end. Tommy was constantly talking over him and putting his own view forward without listening to the other man's (and he moaned about objectivity), he interrupted an interview to mudsling at someone who freely admitted they had prior convictions, he prevented the Journalist from interviewing anyone without interrupting, and even followed the crew to the toilet to keep them under surveillance.

As for the scientology clip... well, the fact its was put together so quickly is... odd, to say the least. I think a lot of what the 'specialists' said was taken out of context and the insinuation that the BBC arranged the demonstration was inaccurate. When they show the letter from the BBC to the protestors it says the BBC has gained permission to film a demo organised for the date, not that the BBC organised a demo to film.

I hope the BBC make a longer cut of the investigation in light of Scientology's response. Panorama has an excellent reputation and has been the cause of numerous advantageous changes to British institutions.
