Let me first give a very short version of the background of my father and his service to the Army. He served in the Army for 23 years and retired as a Major...he was in ranger school for 4 years...worked at lockheed martin for 8 years and served in desert storm as an Interrogator. I don't know too much because my parents split when I was 5 and I decided to live with my mom so me and him never really had contact and he never spoke to me about his service.

I once asked him when i was younger (believe when I was 10 or 12) If he could ever tell me anything secretive about the government and/or if aliens excisted. I mean I am his son, he should be able to trust me with anything right?...Instead...he turned to me...looked me dead in my eyes...smirked and in a chilling way with no expression...says "Well son if i told you I would have to kill you" then he laughed it off and acted like I never even mentioned it.

So here's my deal...I'm 20 now, but I still have these same questions that I've been meaning to ask him for years...So I emailed him february...with some random questions...i will post the email...and take off the names and emails so i can keep my privacy intact I'll replace everything I take off with the % sign...but his answer was kind of odd to me. Even though he might be joking...or trying to throw me off the path of knowledge in which I seek...just wanted to share with yall to get your opinion on the matter.

Here's the email...I copy'd and pasted it from my outlook inbox.

Hi Son,

Sorry I missed this. Running hard here to close some critical issues to get this business on its feet. Throttle through the website and let me know what you think. Join our “Beer Fan Club” so I can confirm the tool is working.

Hey dad,

I’ve always wanted to ask you, while working for Lockheed martin and the military for the years you did. Did you ever see or experience weird phenomenon? Another question, do you know anything about Dulce NM, or The Greenbrier Facility in West Virginia, or NORAD in the Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado, or Mount Weather in Virginia? You might be asking yourself why I’m asking you these questions. Well the answer Is because you’re like the only person I can trust to ask about these like this, and I’m hoping that you’ll be straight with me and not give me bullsh%t.

I know this is coming from left field but I gotta know.

Love, Jimmy

I will now post the response I got from him which leaves me to believe that he either thinks I don't know anything...I'm a moron...or he is a disinfo rep

Cant say I ever me an alien, but did meet many weird human beings…or so they represented themselves to be ;-)

All of those places exist which is not classified. The missions and organizations who use those places change over time. I imagine each of them has a website that provides the unclassified description of why they exist. To the best of my knowledge there is no strange reason they all exist. They exist for the sake of protection and national security. It is all common sense kind of stuff.

I am building my own flying saucer……;-P OK, I confess, I am from outer space and you are have alien…surprised?

Jim

Now maybe he's just messin wit me...but he's not that type of person to joke about serious matters. So I leave it up to all of you...what do you think? I'll send him some more emails with some choice questions If you guys likes...maybe he'll answer them!

Let me know! Thanks!

Well, it sounds to me that he is just reiterating what he has always been told. That is generally what people are told. They are told that places like you mentioned are strictly for defense purposes and nothing more. He can't tell you something that he doesn't know.

If you dad did know anything, im sure he wouldnt put it in an email. You need to meet up with your dad, get drunk, and try to get some info out of him.

I know this isn't on topic, but when you said he was in Ranger School for four years, I just got this image of some guy saying "Sergeant Unnoticed, this is your 4,312th try at Darby Queen, and it's your last one! If you don't make it this time, you're out of the program!"

I appreciate your responses in the matter...Yeah I shouldn't have thought to ask him over email...I will definately have to meet with him...get ripped and start interrogating

But on another note... should I keep pushing the issue with him? Or just back off until I can meet him in person?

Dulce NM is a non-classified base... and for all of these years we were wrong all we have to do is pull up its website.

sorry guy, but I think your dad is having some fun with you.

Alien schmalien. Anybody associated with anything called a "Beer Fan Club" is ok with me.

You know, you put him in a no-win situation. He's not about to tell you anything he knows to be classified. Even if you're his son and you really really want to know. And check it out, if he did you'd be posting it here, n'est-ce pas? if nothing else, access to some stuff could put you in danger. He's not going to do that. Especially via email, which is far from secure communication.

And what if he's telling the truth but you'd rather not believe it because it's too mundane? Is that possible?

I recently met and spoke to someone who is currenlty military. I was shown the I.D. and when I found out the branch they're in and the base where they work, I just couldn't help but ask a couple of questions.

He simply smiled at me and didn't say anything about the questions that I asked. I invited him to join us here at ATS, of course he declined, for the obvious reasons.

I then mentioned Area 51 and Dulce NM, etc. He motioned to me, held out his hand and said I've been to some bases out there... and flipped open another I.D., I saw his picture on it and thats about it, the id card was white towards the top and yellowish ( I think ) on the bottom.

He was probably just messing with me, but it's still cool.

Well If he did tell me something...your right...I would post it because the information needs to be known! I'm tired of the cover ups...but for security reasons that's why i didn't post the names/emails...I understand that email is not the securest form of communication...but phones and paper mail...aren't either....plus me being in danger is the last thing im worried about...i'd rather spread the message and die...then to hold onto it till my grave is set...

So I guess my choice is clear...meet with him...get him drunk...and proceed to ask...the thing about my dad is that he's a known master at the art of *B.S.*...plus he was an interrogator him self so he might try to twist everything i say to make me seem moronic...

But I ask...should i persists to push the issue? Or leave it at that and bring it up when were face to face?

Let's review, shall we? Retired Army major with Ranger experience and former wartime interrogator vs. 20 year old kid with bottle of booze. Yep, go with that. I'm only sorry I won't be there to see it.

Good things he's an alchoholic... think i might get farther then you'd expect...plus Im turning 21 in September...guess who im gunna go visit to pound a couple shots with? You know who! I can just tell him I'm there for my b-day *perfect cover* oooo yeah. Hopefully he just forgets all he's told me...or I might end up in the desert "Hills Have Eyes" style

But in all seriousness! Should I persist...or drop it...untill the face 2 face encounter?

I'd say, wait until the close encounters of the bottled-kind...

make sure both of you are drunk and somewhere, where he feels comfortable... and keep a voice recorder. Most likely you'll forget everything he said when you wake up with a invisible and overheating probe in you brain. Thanks to the BFO

If you have any respect for the guy let sleeping dogs be!
I've been there and it ended up with not being spoken to for a loooooong time by them because I didn't respect the sensitive nature of their job...think about it, would you want to see him strung-up by the mililtaries and his career record trashed just for the sake of your curiosity?

(you'll get far more respect from the guy if you turn up on yr 21st with two shot glasses and a damn good Jura single-malt though...
)

I dunno...some of the best "this ain't no s--t" stories I've ever gotten were from officers we lubed up for that very purpose.

Unnoticed: use my old trick, bribe the bartender ahead of time to feed you straight Coke when you order drinks. Or "quarter power" drinks so that your victim is drinking 4:1. They can put a different swizzle in the faux drinks so that you know which one you're getting.

Don't go right for the gusto, either. Start off with getting him to relate old Army stories that aren't on topic, act like you're really interested. Then sort of start steering it towards stories relating to the time he was at the places you're interested in, and see if he'll drop some in without overt prompting.

The trick is you have to loosen up the stories first, so ask about stuff not related at first, he'll no doubt have a sack full of Airborne school stories, Ranger school graduation ceremony stories etc that you will need to start off with instead of "Ok, Dad, now that you're toasted, confess to me about UFO's", that won't work at all.

I understand your concern... i have more emails from our conversation but they're about personal life, didn't feel like posting about my family drama here..during our exchange of emails I came out of no where to ask him that question. And he answered...and his answer is why I'm here. All I can tell you in my defense is that I'm not here to spread lies or to create conspiracy...just a son wanting some answers about what his father may or may not know. Unfortunately the man I used to know as my father seems different now...and the way he acts some times makes me wonder if the big GOV did something to him.

You can take it for what you want...I'm not claiming to know anything I don't or have any intentions other then the fact of getting the truth known...thats why I posted...because I thought with all of the skeptics...and belivers on ATS someone would be able to guide me to the next step in this matter.

The_Unraveller... i will definately head your word to bring the voice recorder. I'm also thinking of planting a video camera some where in the room i hope to be in when i have that conversation with him. Now i gotta pre-plan my questioning so it doesnt seem so obvious in what i'm after in his eyes.

Thanks much for all your input everyone!

And you think its ok to discuss him, his job and background on this type of forum? Ok, fair enough if you had something concrete. Personally I think you're being disrespectful and should feel quite ashamed of yourself.

Disrespect? I've released only his first name...gave a very brief background description...and I'm not trying to prove anything...so why would "anything" have to be concrete? And this is the exact forum I want to post on! Because atleast I can hear opinions...positive and negative regarding my issue. I have much respect for my father...and if he were to disclose anything to me and I were to capture it on tape or video...i would take every step to conceal his identity...

Ashamed? For asking questions? Wow dude your making me regret even bringing this up....
