After the Staff created an elaborate, ornate welcome for the Queen of Englands visit, George W. Bush took the podium to grace the Queen with a welcome speech. With style and grace, the Queen listened while the wonderful public speaker Mr. Bush has proven to be so many times over, implied that she was more than 230 years old.

The queen, a sprightly 81, gave an embarrassed Bush a gracious nod after he suggested she had celebrated the United States' founding in 1776.

He meant to say she had attended 1976 bicentennial festivities.

Bush welcomes the queen

What an embarrassment. I don't know who is worse. George W, or Mayor Street of Philadelphia. I cringe every time.

No surprise really. The man was educated with a banana and an innertube. He most likely thought that she was present in 1776. Chimpy mcflightsuit needs to go back to that dreary day on 9/11 when he was reading the story to the kids in Florida with the book upside down. Classless moron.

Sheesh, it was a funny moment, but this is being so overblown by the Bush-hating media.

He said she was here for the Bicentennial celebration in 17 (brief pause) 1976. Then he made light of his mistake.

In no way did he ever suggest she was here for the American Revolution, it was just a slip of the tongue.

Wait! You're telling me that when he was reading the story to the kids, that the book was upside down? Oh man, say it aint so.......
What an embarrassment.
Whether or not you liked Clinton, as well as many before him, he was a magnificent public speaker.

It ain't so!

This photochop has been debunked so many times it's amazing that people still bring it up.

I guess continuing lies is brill's idea of class.

More intense material to add to Bush's memoirs.

That book will end up next to Ripley's Beleive it or Not in the library.

I'm sure the queen has heard this commoner bites the big one.

I do beleive the queen laughs to herself.
Being of royal blood and well bred, i'm sure she was able to hold her water down and continue as if nothing stupid and moronic was said.

But they didn't show the Archie comic hidden inside that same book

Yah I agree my assessment was over the top but like all politicians they are fair game. He's just too easy a target.

I used to think that Bush was a man to be reckoned with, a man that could do whatever her wanted just because he's Bush. I also thought he was a moron.

The former stays the same, the latter, I'm glad to say, changed a long while ago.

Personally I love G.W's antics. It's obvious that was just a slip of the tongue and I love the way he laughed off the gaff by looking at the Queen and saying that "She gave me a look that only a mother could give a child", lol

Dude, that upside down book was photoshopped.

I like how he referred to the Attorney General as the Eternal General.

Then the Queen replied

"And once again the president has huffed and puffed and in 1812 it was I that burned his house down"

this was one of those jokes these reptilians and controllers of the world often times pull. everyone knows that the queen is reptilian and was alive in 1776 so they just say a little joke like that to each other. like a wink wink thing. they know that the media will think it was just a slip of the tongue. however all of us will not be fooled.

I'd love to give you a WATS vote for that, but that's no longer available.

Good observation though.

Oh please, this is such a non issue, and trust me, I'm NOT a Bush apologist.

Go watch the video on youtube. He flubs and says "....in seventeen [pause] in nineteen seventy six.". Then there is moderate laughter for about 2 seconds, Bush looks at the Queen, she glares at him for a couple seconds, he winks, she nods and says "Do it again...", and then Bush chuckles, the Queen smiles and its pretty much over.

Grantes, he flubbed, but caught it and it ended up being an irreverent moment in an otherwise official and formal ceremony.

This is not a major issue, this is the media trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

It was funny sure. I bet if a democrat did this it'd be on the news too, its not a conspiracy.

It wasn't just that though. I mean winking and grinning at the Queen of England.

It just looks like he takes nothing serious.

COME on. Have some class man.
This isn't a backyard barbecue.

British forces march on Washington. At a brief battle on the road, known as the Battle of Bladensburg; the British forces defeat the American forces, who withdraw in disarray, thus opening the road to Washington. The British burn the White House and the Capitol, but the rest of Washington is saved by a strong rain storm. The British, under orders not to hold any territory, withdrew.

Saved by the rain. ha ha ha.

700 year old German reptile she may well be...

But she's our 700 year old German reptile.
