... Yeeeeaaaa that was Pantallica, now strap your studded bracelets on listeners because we are now gonna head bang back into history because here at
WTZN we are gonna pay homage to the HEAVY METAL!
On Friday the 13th, 1970 ... Metal was born!
All right Metal heads, next up we got the all female metal band from Sweden, Drain STH with "I Don't Mind" ...
And to close out the WTZN metal show we bring you what best reminds us of the good old days ... Metallica with Broken, Beat & Scarred!
Opeth
Pretty easy to see I am a fan of theirs based on my name. Many tr00 kvlt types didn't like Heritage and that is ok because it is still an Opeth album.
For me though I think the song Blackwater Park sums up what makes them amazing to me. The last 4-5 minutes of that song are crushing.
Swallow the Sun
A pretty awesome doom song..Heavy and soft, male and female..it works on so many levels.
Novembers Doom
They have more of a death style now then when they used to be more doom..that is ok..they still are awesome. The Knowing is my favorite release of
theirs.
My Dying Bride
Any older song from one of the biggest doom bands but still a great atmospheric song. Listening to this through your headphones with the lights out
and a few candles lit is grim.

Metalhead checks in. My music has probably already been played. Sabbath, 4M(Metallica, Maiden, Motorhead and Megadeth), Slipknot, Stone Sour, etc.
This is a band my niece is into. Tyr:
Not bad imo.
And just in case it hasn't been played yet, and I'll listen to it again, SS:
