I just don't think it would be much fun for the under 21 crowd.

There's always Pizza Hut?

Nah, Vegas has got theme parks, shopping malls, etc. No pro sports as far as I know, though.

No pro teams, but they do televise every game in the world that you could possibly bet on
And your right, Circus Circus is a lot of fun and lots of other fun stuff to do, who cares, we'll be in a Huge conference room in the Palms discusing ATS! 18 and over

Well it sounds like a few people are excited about this! I hope more people see this thread tomorrow and can get on the bandwagon.

We could rent a bunch of rooms at one hotel and get a group discount. Also, we could hold a worldwide meeting every year (or two) at a different location each year - one year Australia, the next the U.S. or UK. I would definitely be interested in something like this.

Unfortunately for me, when I requested a flight risk restraining order on my ex, he got one on me too -- which is stupid because I've been in the SF Bay Area for 21 years and he's a foreigner who's threatened to kidnap another child of his in Australia. But I can't leave the 9 Bay Area counties.

So I volunteer to start the Northern California Chapter. Any NorCalies here?

How awesome would it be if ATS had a weekend convention in Las Vegas and we all wear name badges with our ATS names on them! Man that would be so cool! Three days of debauchery and debate! I'm down, who else is with me?

And you got little flags to place on your favorite vendor booths.

Actually... there are some things in the works.

Springer and I are working on two special "AboveTopSecret.com Sponsored" sessions at a popular convention this summer (more coming soon).

And we're looking into the logistics of joint-venture convention in early Fall with another company who focuses on the same subject matter as us... nothing firm yet, but maybe soon.

So... yes... we have been thinking of these, and our long term goal is to have two or three regular yearly conventions... but of course, with unique "ATS Way" twists.

I'm getting positive vibes on all of these ideas.
Do we need an organizing song? ( someone call Joan )

Will wait to hear more.

That is funny stuff, but you better believe that I would be walking around with my flags held high, tempting others the whoo my flags from me with witty banter and funny side note.

I sure hope that these ideas come to fruiton.

I'd be there for sure!

Definitely an excellent idea Kleverone. But I see Skeptic Overlord and Springer beat you to it. As long as it's in North America somewhere, count me in. I won't get on a plane though. Nasty phobia of flying. Obviously it would be easier for me if it were in Canada, but I'm willing to cross the border.Hey, Benevolent Tyrant- If possible put a steak on the grill for me. Medium well - thank you.

Sorry dingleberry, but didn't ATS start in the US? Not to mention I think most members are here too. I wouldn't mind visiting Australia, bt it is too expensive for me!

Isn't the site owner Simon Gray from Wiltshire in England?

Founder, yes.

I'm a co-owner, along with Springer and SkepticOverlord.

Yeah, I don't know much about the three amigos. I just thought it would be more convenient for a convention to be held in the US since more members were from here.

A song could be great, maybe the members could vote on it and then make some sort of video for it starring...................The three amigos!

If nobody wants to meet in Denver, I would be more than willing to drive somewhere else with enough notice!!

Chapters sounds good. We could do different chapters in different cities, I know there are a few of us here in Florida. We could all wear dark hooded robes with lime green fringe and "who's your skeptic" logos on them. (just to freak out the norms)

I think we should all meet in the UK..
It would make all the Americans finally get a passport.. (Just seen the stats of US dwellers who don't own a passport!)

I swore I would not go to Vegas again after getting fingerprinted and photographed..

Well that number should be going up a bit. We now need passports to get back into the US from Canada and Mexico. I personally am not going to get a passport til I know for sure that I will be leaving the country.

Come on people show your interest in a convention!!!!!!!

I tried starting a a chapter when me and me people took up residence in Havenshire.

Of course being on ATS means that I have an EXTRA bit of paranoia over the average Havenshire-onian.

So, I invited myself, my cat, me mum and Tony from the pub. When Tony showed up, ( because of the inherent paranoia we all have ) I wouldn't answer the door. So basically it was me cat, me self and me mum in the basement for three hours bickering over Havenshire charter rules and mandates. We never aggreed on anything so 3 hours after the Havenshire chapter formed...it was dis-banded.

Good times my friend...good times!

M.Agenda!
