LOL these are so cool!! they're OBVIOUSLY 80's - you just don't hear music like that today
Thank you! add any more you come up with - I'm a huge 80's fan ♥

1981 - Linsay Buckingham ft Stevie Nicks: Trouble

1982 - Alan Parsons Project: Eye in the Sky

1982 - Patrice Rushen: Forget Me Nots

1982 - Asia: Heat of the Moment

and the lesser known but more impressive IMHO

1982 - Asia: Only Time Will Tell

that intro is just epic! While looking up the year, I see people saying Family Guy helped to make it more popular - I had no idea.. I must have missed that episode

I'm happy to say I remember it when it was fairly new

if anyone else stops by, check out her thread on Red Lorry Yellow Lorry

in the meantime

1983 - Violent Femmes: Blister In The Sun

I warned you I could do this all day

1986 - Eurythmics: Missionary Man

I know I know but I like it

Nice selections! Oh boy Asia...trying to get some in the basement to that...lol I agree there is something so 80's in ALL of these videos...here are a couple more obscure ones I can clearly remember: also to note: Great how they "act" in the videos

Enjoy, or...not!

Edit to add: Just saw the above post - both great and both very, very 80's...and thanks for the plug!!

oh man here's what I love about threads like this
out of the last 5 you posted - 2 I had no idea what they were until I hit "play"
Greg Kihn and Split Enz
I KNOW THEM!!!!!! but I forgot!!!!

Thats so awesome!

1983 - The Romantics: Talking in your sleep

and who could forget

1984 - Ratt: Round And Round

which reminds me of

1986 - Cinderella: Nobody's Fool

edit on 11-8-2011 by Forevever because: avoiding a double post

LOL don't ask me how I remembered this watching a Cinderella video

1984 - Wham!: Wake me up (before you go go)

and even more notably

1987 - George Michael: Faith

great songs on that entire album, but lets go with the less risque more upbeat one

and I don't think this can count as an 80's thread if we don't include the pivotal 80's Women

1984 - Whitney Houston: Wanna dance with somebody

god is that hair to die for or what?

1983 - Pat Benatar: Love is a Battlefield

did you know this was Madonna's first single and video?

1982 - Madonna: Everybody

I know as far as Madonna goes... I could go on and on and on and on - infinitely

but I have to put this one here because it was, is, and always will be my #1 favorite Madonna video

1983/1984 - Madonna: Dress You Up (Live)

I love OMD and Berlin! the others are new to me - you so can't beat that "synth" style though

does this count?

1983 - Thompson Twins: Hold Me Now

That song has some of the most awesome lyrics

and then we got the fashion, the hair, and the sound!

1981 - Go Go's: Our Lips Are Sealed

in 1980 the following song was released - I forgot about it - probably because I didn't pay as much attention to music when I was 6 - I remembered its existance about 20 years later - took me another year to find someone else to tell me who sang it - this song has the BEST line ever written in any song IMHO

1980 - Benny Mardones: Into the Night

and I would wait till the end - of time for you - and do it again its true
I can't measure my love - there's nothing to compare it to

no wait - here's another incredibly memorable line
(except its not 80's.... but it was popular in the 80's!!!)

1977 - Billy Joel: Only The Good Die Young

Some say there's a heaven, for those who will wait
some say its better, but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners, than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun!!!
You know that only the good die young

Awesome. How hot were the Thompson Twins for a while? Wow, what carefree days! I thought of a few more you may enjoy: Remeber - most of these only bring silly memories...
