the above link 404'd on me so I thought this thread was worth reviving
would love to see more obscure awesome 80's! rather than the well known ones
sorry to see a lot of songs on page 1 are dead links also.... I'm going to link to page 2 ♥
LOL these are so cool!! they're OBVIOUSLY 80's - you just don't hear music like that today
Thank you! add any more you come up with - I'm a huge 80's fan ♥
that intro is just epic! While looking up the year, I see people saying Family Guy helped to make it more popular - I had no idea.. I must have
missed that episode
I'm happy to say I remember it when it was fairly new
Nice selections! Oh boy Asia...trying to get some in the basement to that...lol I agree there is something so 80's in ALL of these videos...here are
a couple more obscure ones I can clearly remember: also to note: Great how they "act" in the videos
Enjoy, or...not!
Edit to add: Just saw the above post - both great and both very, very 80's...and thanks for the plug!!

oh man here's what I love about threads like this
out of the last 5 you posted - 2 I had no idea what they were until I hit "play"
Greg Kihn and Split Enz
I KNOW THEM!!!!!! but I forgot!!!!
Thats so awesome!
1983 - The Romantics: Talking in your sleep
and who could forget
1984 - Ratt: Round And Round
which reminds me of
1986 - Cinderella: Nobody's Fool

I love OMD and Berlin! the others are new to me - you so can't beat that "synth" style though
does this count?
1983 - Thompson Twins: Hold Me Now
That song has some of the most awesome lyrics
and then we got the fashion, the hair, and the sound!
1981 - Go Go's: Our Lips Are Sealed
in 1980 the following song was released - I forgot about it - probably because I didn't pay as much attention to music when I was 6 - I
remembered its existance about 20 years later - took me another year to find someone else to tell me who sang it - this song has the BEST line ever
written in any song IMHO
1980 - Benny Mardones: Into the Night
and I would wait till the end - of time for you - and do it again its true
I can't measure my love - there's nothing to compare it to
no wait - here's another incredibly memorable line (except its not 80's.... but it was popular in the 80's!!!)
1977 - Billy Joel: Only The Good Die Young
Some say there's a heaven, for those who will wait
some say its better, but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners, than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun!!!
You know that only the good die young
Awesome. How hot were the Thompson Twins for a while? Wow, what carefree days! I thought of a few more you may enjoy: Remeber - most of these only
bring silly memories...
