I don't know where you are getting your info Muaddib but its wrong. I live about 35 miles from there and what they are reporting here is the first 2 shootings happened at about 7:30, the local EMT's responded originally to reports that someone had fallen only to find 2 shooting victims, and the balance happened across campus 2 hours later. The police are reporting that as far as they know there was 1 suspect in both shootings and that he had killed himself when the police closed in. They are reporting that is was an Asian American but there has been nothing (since I started watching) about it being tied up in a relationship dispute. As it stands right now 32 dead 28 wounded 6 in critical.

"Good people"?

A firearm is designed to kill, how can a owner use it for "good intentions"?

This might be the European in me speaking, but I don't see how owning a firearm is a good thing. As I said, its designed to kill.

You damn right....Good people... Gun owners will be our only line of defense when our corrupt government decided to do its dirty deeds,as it is contiunuously doing. To think anything positive comes from the banning of guns is living in la-la land somewhere. Like I said. Ban guns and what next? Knives? Ropes? Pointy sticks? They all kill people as well. Point is, these things don't kill people. People kill people. Periods. Should we cut off our hands so we are not capable of strangling someone? Where does it end when you open this can of worms? Where?

An other shooting. I know that in the Us constitution there is something about the right to have firearm. It's good to go hunting, not to protect your family.... Police is there for that. See what looses guns are doing. 32 persons dead 21 wounded in a school. Really need a good firearm control legislation.

The police don't have the resources to protect most people living in the United States. The country is simply too large for it to realistically be possible. In many rural areas, if you have to call the police, you may be lucky if they show up 30 minutes later. That doesn't help a whole lot.

Infinite,

Your comments are correct, but what you have to remember is we can not just erase gun technology and if good people don't have them, bad people know that guns control, create fear, give power.

What do you think that bad people or criminals will do with them?

I know for a fact that in the UK that the majority of guns crimes are committed by career criminals that have no regard for laws, so more laws to them mean nothing.

Guns, ammunition, firearms period are multi-billion dollar industry from the guns, to the judicial system, jails, rehab programs, to many people making billions. Someone or corporation will always produce them and there is people always willing to buy them legally or not.

As Eddie Izzard said..

The NRA say "Guns don't kill people, people kill people", But I think the gun helps..

We can go round and round with this argument. For those of us who abide by the law, to deprive ourselves the right to own a gun knowing well enough that a criminal will obtain one anyways, is downright moronic.
No moronic is the US laws that allow the multiple killings to happen year after year. Here, 99.9% or criminals dont have guns because of gun control. Even if they do have one, they dont feel threatened because you dont have one. If you have a gun and they have a gun. People die.

Sorry, but that made zero sense. Yes, I'm sure all those kids were packing heat. They probably just couldn't figure out how to take the safeties off.

Peace
Ill try and make it easy for you. Current laws did not allow those people to take care of themselves. Then the only answer is to take the weapons out of the criminals hands.

guns don't kill people, people kill people using guns ergo we should outlaw people to make the country safe for guns.

We don't need no more control of firearms thank you very much. More than enough people ahve died "waiting for the police to arrive"...

Anyways, let's stay on topic please.

Honestly, why can't you guys take the gun discussion to the before mentioned thread, so we can have this for news? Thanks in advance.

What's the difference? That thread is now going to be overrun with this discussion. It's six of one half dozen of the other. It's like mixing the peanut butter with the chocolate and getting a Reeses, the best of both worlds.

Peace

Yeah,

Our guns laws about to become more tougher now. It will be illegal to carry a gun or being in possession of one at 17, not 21.

Yes, its happened before, if someone goes nuts with a knife or even sword. They get rushed and disarmed.

But he didn't go killing 30+ people with a sword, it was a gun - there is a difference.

if you group rush him the outcome will be the same, there will be some injuries possibly fatalities but the shooter will be disarmed because the last thing you expect would be for people to rush you, you expect them to run away dont you

Where do these bans end? Do we ban rope? Knives? Our hands? Feet? Do we ban pointy sticks and pieces of metal as well? Where does it end? Please pretell, do tell. I am salivating at the mouth to hear this one? Or foaming... whichever.

Let's see...it can stop a rapist from raping your daughter, mother, wife...

It can stop a mindless killer from killing your family and you...

But i guess those are not "good intentions"...

I mean for crying aloud how can any man/woman think of the safety of their families and themselves as "being something good"?...

We are really going off a tangent, but i can't control myself to responding when some people use these events to try to impose on others their "self righteousness" and their "thoughts on gun control"....
