Also try Hey You from The Wall and Sorrow (PULSE version), both by Pink Floyd.

This is by far the most haunting song for me, beautiful, serene, aching, and epic... Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Check this vid out...

Sir David's haunting blues along with Rick Wright's eccentric chords and Water's imagery-filled legendary lyrics brings out the deep emotion the band feels for their old friend, Syd Barett (R.I.P.)

The Red Violin from the movie of the same name.

The Red Violin (French: Le Violon rouge, German: Die Rote Violine, Italian: Il Violino Rosso, traditional Chinese: 紅提琴), is a 1998 Canadian film. It spans three centuries and five countries as it tells the story of a violin and its many owners. The film was an international co-production between companies in Canada, Italy and the UK. Excellent! Star for that one indeed. And I highly recommend the movie to anyone who has not seen it.

I hope that no one posts this before I do. This is the very first song that I was taught to sing. I am a son of the south and always will be. I hope this will stir a haunting.

I think it was "I Wish I Was in Dixie." The Rebel national anthem if I'm not mistaken.

Let's try this one more time. He is another good version, old, but good. It gives me the chills so I guess that counts as haunting.

The sounds of silence is an amazingly haunting sound. The video I have provided below has always offered a haunting ambience.

One of the best haunting songs out there is "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star.

OMG!!! YOU ARE SO BAD!
I was at work and we play satellite radio all day. This song came on and I burst out laughing and everyone thought I'd lost my mind!

There is a difference between 'haunting' and 'scary'. Yikes!

tool - 10,000 days (wings pt2)

very haunting if you considering the lyrics and what they mean,

they're about the song writer/singers mother who was paralysed for 27 years (almost 10,000 days) and when she passed on he wrote this song about her

and

queen - the show must go on
