Mars Anomoly Smoking Gun?

Came across this awhile back, now it seems it has been enhanced (to show the outline more clearly)...What do you think about this anomoly?

This is on Mars, looks like an outline of Nerfertiti (or some other goddess or figure).

To me pretty uncanny representation. There just seems to be too many features and details for this to be a minds eye trick/shapes in clouds effect.

So wait...There is intelligent life on Earth?

The image posted is mainly formed by geographic features, hills, ridges, water contoured areas, whereas the mars anom. seems to be formed by other means.
Something similar to the nazca lines?

Website states that other details are brought out on a hires monitor-all I hae is my LCD 21 incher...Anyone?

That Earth image from Google Maps is spectacular!!

Actually the Earth one has better proportions and therefore looks more artificial than the supposed Mars image/sculpture, etc.

I am not posting to 'own' anyone to 'prove anything'. I posted to see what everyone thinks of the anomaly. Obviously others think the mars anomaly merits further investigation as evidenced by the sites that have pages referencing the anomaly.

Other: I do like the 3d animation of the above link. sort of like the face video created from different sun angles...

Both very interesting pictures, thanks for the posts! It would be great if it proved life outside this planet, but its still not enough. It could easly be nature at work.

Pareidolia. I'm 100% sure of that. To show that it's anomalous you have to show it could NOT have been created by well understood natural processes. There is no such smoking gun here, and plenty of reason to believe it can NOT be artificial.

Keep in mind that the Martian surface is constantly eroded by dusty winds, and the Martian surface has been dusty, cold, hostile and dry for a very long time. if someone had done a Nazca type image in the surface, it would be long, long gone.

GreatLakes should have done a search of the forum after he/she joined today and before starting this duplicate thread. The photo (including the colorized outline) was discussed here in Feb/March. I think it was just left as an unexplained..which it will probably stay, until we get someone up on Mars to take a closer look in a few decades. -cwm

The Earth has been bombarded by many many meteors over the millenia but the erosional nature of Earth has obscured deteriorated the craters. Mars on the other hand has a scant (arguable) atmosphere, little to no water action (arguable) and has retained the craters observable. The wind action is another erosional mechanism...

I guess im confused, I would assume it is questionable at least to know for sure the erosional nature of Mars as compared to the Earth.

I don't think enough information is known about the erosion vs time of mars surface to state that some features would be long gone... Am I wrong?

I think this is another thread that is NOT a smoking gun, is NOT "what we've all waited for, finally here", and is not proof positive.

And I always make a point of looking at original sources BEFORE I look at the outlined and rotated versions. I never see anything but rocks.

The ancient Spaniards used to carve giant heads as waypoints to treasure. They probably learned the trick from a much older source.

Well the first image is just a series of random encounters. We humans are exceptionally good at distinguishing patterns among what seems like chaos to other animals (like paintings), so yeah, this is just a fluke.

What really constitutes proof of artificiality with images as 'evidence' to 'investigate'? I think you can both make arguments for evidence of artificiality for a natural formation, as well as debunk a truly man-made structure or monument.

So what about the above picture? I say its a trick of shadow and light, turn the image sideways or upside down, and it's just a jumble of rocks.

Oh come on, you can see anything in shadows and shapes like that if you want to! I saw nothing until the comparison shot with what they claimed was there drawn on.
