Tsunami to hit the East Coast of America on April 1st
(WebWire) 3/6/2007 6:47:58 AM
Over the last few months, there has been growing evidence for a tsunami hitting the Eastern Coastal regions of the Americas on April 1st, 2007. Although the evidence comes in the form of parables, the reasons for the event are straightforward. In summary, over the last 2000 years, people have chosen to follow Paul or other ideologies over that of Jesus. His main message, “Love your neighbour as yourself” has been drowned out and the results are poverty, oppression and war. These are fuelled by ideologies such as consumerism and capitalism, which are particularly prevalent in the West.

All the houses near the sea were flattened," she told The Associated Press by telephone. "The downtown area is a very big mess from the tsunami and the earthquake," she added. "A lot of houses have collapsed. The whole town is still shaking" from aftershocks.

What are the updates now, whar happened!!???
reports that around 2,000 people, or 10 per cent of the population, in the provincial capital of Gizo Town, are now homeless, while around 500 houses may have been damaged or destroyed. Initial reports from other islands suggest similar or worse levels of damage.
Roads are inaccessible and there has been heavy damage to infrastructure, including phones and electricity," he adds. "Many people will be sleeping outdoors tonight and are not expected to return to their homes until Tuesday that makes it hard to get accurate figures on the number of people who may be missing."
Gizo's airfield is still functioning, but debris needed to be cleared from the runway before it was fully operational. An aerial assessment was carried out by government officials, as well as a Red Cross expert, late on Monday to examine the damage.
Death toll 'likely to rise'
"Reports have come in that more than 15 people died, just around Gizo, but with the other islands I cannot tell you," premier Alex Lokopio told Radio New Zealand.
The central government reported 12 deaths and the police at least four, but Sogavare warned the death toll would likely rise once rescue teams reached the area.
"Most of the islands are low-lying, and the extent of the damage is yet to be known," the prime minister said, adding that a team from his office, the Red Cross and the police were headed to the area.
"It's a very trying time for us."
The shallow quake hit Gizo island, northwest of the Solomons capital Honiara, hardest. It damaged shops, schools and a hospital on the low-lying waterfront, while the following tsunami wave sucked dozens of houses into the sea.
Emergency aid is finally trickling through to thousands of people stranded by the devastating tsunami which struck the western Solomon Islands.
At least 22 people died in Monday's disaster but the toll is set to rise, as many others are still missing.
