Hi Gazrok,

My instincts tell me you may have this one backwards. It may not be a coincidence that PJ developed lung cancer and DIED SHORTLY AFTER that bogus ABC special.

Perhaps he actually reviewed Greer's material extensively and fought for it to be aired on ABC, and was punished for it......

So I'm voting for MARTYR status for Jennings.... thoughts anyone?

Makes no sense to me. If I were a hypothetical conspirator intent on covering up the truth about UFOs, I would want the Greer stuff to air. It's the sort of lovely noise I'd want (and I get lots of it from volunteer sources).

HEROES

Dr. Steven Greer for his amazing courage in gathering and uniting the 400+ Disclosure Project whistleblowers and achieving the NPC Disclosure conference. Also for his work with SEAS in attempting to roll out suppressed technologies to the public.

(I guess many are still on the fence regarding CSETI and his spiritual teachings)

Plus all of the DP witnesses and other whistleblowers who have put their lives on the line by speaking out in public.

Sorry but you are completely wrong here. Greer has many hours of video testimony from many very credible military/intelligence/corporate witnesses, plus the footage from the Disclosure media conference. It is highly credible testimony from multiple independent corroborating witnesses.

As I said.... PJ was a very influential figure in the mass media, and perhaps he did his homework and reviewed Greer's material extensively, and when the PTB realized he knew so much and there was a chance he would air it on ABC.... maybe they decided to put an end to that problem..... since he DIED SHORTLY AFTER the bogus ABC UFO special.....

Did you actually SEE the special? Jennings claimed Roswell as Mogul, and devoted about two minutes to it. He basically said "case closed" to the American public, and you want to champion him as a Martyr? Okies...diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks...hehe....

I'll agree that Greer has put together some important evidence with his "Disclosure Project". I'm also somewhat disconcerted by the New-Age corollaries that he draws from it. But if his witnesses can be taken at face value, then he's performed an enormous service and deserves some respect.

Von Daniken, in turn, generated so much hooey that people still consider the whole issue a joke. Just my two bits (cdn).

Yes I understand that, but what I am suggesting is that he could have been coerced into that, by the usual "we'll do you and your whole family" routine....

Again, my instincts tell me that behind the scenes he did his homework and he was fighting to air Greer's material, and he got punished for it.... don't you find it a strange coincidence that he developed lung cancer and died almost immediately after that special?

The late Peter Jennings is also going to go here, strictly for that last bit of crap "journalism" UFO special he did before passing.

I certainly think it's kind of strange that someone would vote thumbs down for Dr Greer and PJ in the same post, Dr Greer's not too happy with ABC either...I think your idea may have some merit, considering all the things that have happened with that group....

That makes no sense at all. Greer's disinformative mumbo jumbo isn't exactly a secret. He's got a website in the public domain for anyone to log on to. He'll even charge all comers $800+ for tidbits of disinformation he refuses to 'disclose' for free - so even his 'secret' stuff is available, at a price! Why would any imaginary 'agents' want to silence someone for broadcasting Greer's stuff when Greer himself has been shouting it out loud for years and hasn't been silenced himself?

Yes thank you c3hamby. I want to point out again that there has been a lot of cancer and death surrounding Greer and TDP. Former CIA Director Bill Colby was allegedly murdered for trying to help them.... and Greer, his best friend and assistant Shari Adamiak, Greer's pet dog, and a US congressman they were working closely with, all got the exact same kind of cancer at the same time, and Greer is the only one who lived.... maybe PJ got the same fate for trying to help them?

Please, please, please, let's not turn this into another Greer is a fraud vs Greer is not.

There are way TOO many of those already.

I can personally say that my interest in ufology today stems from the ufology boom in the 90's that was propelled by Stan Friedman and Bob Lazar. They are polar opposites for the most part, but it was really Lazar's story that really grabbed my attention and imagination. Whether he tells the truth or not, I may never know.

There's still a whole world of difference between having material available on the Internet, and having it actually broadcasted out to the public on a major TV network - which is sort of a stamp of "official government approval". Because remember, the major TV networks are the PROPAGANDA MACHINE of the government - completely bought and paid for.

And Greer very nearly has been silenced, many times. See my other post about him getting metastatic cancer under very suspicious circumstances and being the ONLY one to survive.....

My interest was piqued with von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods in the 70s. I was young and naive enough to believe every word he wrote, though I still think he brought to light some reasonable theories.

Another hero I would like to add is:
Steven Spielberg for sky-rocketing interest in UFOs with Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Heroes:
Friedman (OF COURSE!.. I doubt there is one person on the planet that could honestly say that this man is not making Ufology more credible), Knapp, Alex Jones (not Ufology related but he is awesome in his fight against our illegal government).

Zeroes:
Greer (his 400 eye-witnesses should riot against this man for exposing them under false pretense), Sereda (another case of blown credibility)

ATS Heroes:
J. Ritzman and Hank McCoy (has Hank been banned?).

ATS Zeroes:
Lear, Sleeper, Spr***er (I have connected the dots, but would rather not be banned)

Why would you come into someone's house and micturate all over the carpet that ties the room together? Especially when you have absolutely nothing to back it up?

That's a rhetorical question. We already know why.

Sorry If I missed this in somebody's post but has anyone yet mentioned Ivan T Sanderson as a hero?

If I posted anything to back it up, how long do you think it would last? I posted my opinion.

**let me guess.......I am a disinfo agent (rolls eyes)**

I don't have any zeroes because everyone is a hero in their own way, like Marshall Applewhite for instance:

He took his own whacko self and a whole bunch of other whackos off this Earth. I never understood those gastly purple shrouds......how tacky!!!

My other heroes:

John Lear - A legend even though I think he still works, at least in some respect, with the CIA, and the only reason I say that is because he's still alive.

Phil Schneider - Died for what he believed, a hero.

Bill Cooper - Died for what he believed, a hero.

Bob Lazar - Because I believe him.

Me - because I'm so damned good looking.

Peace

Damn, Dr Love always makes me laugh, and he's good looking.
I think it's silly to reduce people to heroes and zeros. There's probably something interesting in all their approaches even if it's something to discard.

The Heros: Anyone who stands up for what they believe.
The Zeros: All the crap mouthed false authority telling people what to think.

I almost forgot...

Hero = Dan Akroyd, if he has the O'Hare footage and will release it free for us all to see, in good time.

Zero = Dan Akroyd, if he doesn't have the O'Hare footage, or he wants exclusive "get rich" rights from it.
