it seems like way too much money time and effort spent on war
sorry.

aircraft doesn't necessarily equate to war-machines, research into aircraft-safety has saved lots of peoples lives in the past and will continue to do so in my opinion.

Thomson 757 on takeoff takes a bird down #2 engine. The person taping it also had a scanner going so you could hear everything from the initial Mayday. Very interesting video to watch. Luckily no one was hurt and it ended safely.

This is just creepy.

Hi, I'm writing in from TheWorld Desk of the Voxant NewsRoom. I'd like to share this link to an amateur video made by a survivor of the recent plane crash in Thailand. It was shot just seconds after the plane went down. I believe manufacturers of planes should consider possible safety measures to minimize injuries and casualties during a crash, if it is possible. Some professional pilots and even frequent fliers have commented that there is no way to keep passengers safe in a crash and that luck plays a big part if you survive one. What do you think?
