Lots of great videos in this thread. This one was extra cool. I'm sure I've heard this one in a Tarantino movie, or maybe it was a David Lynch movie? I can't remember which movie...

Misirlou was the song used for the opening credits of Pulp Fiction. I can't count the number of Dick Dale songs used in movies.

Dick Dale and Stevie Ray Vaughan playing Pipeline in the movie Back to the Beach.

Hey Back to the Beach was 60's related so it's ontopic.

The Yardbirds, the band that produced 3 guitar gods, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page.

The Yardbirds - Louise (Eric Clapton)

The next song is why Eric left the band.. He did not like the pop direction they were headed.

The Yardbirds - For Your Love

Next came Mr Jeff Beck (recommended by Jimmy Page)

The Yardbirds - Heart Full Of Soul

many hits and time passes, their bass player quits the group and Jimmy Page steps in until the rhythm guitarist Chris Dreja gets up to speed playing bass... They ended up- with 2 lead players

The Yardbirds - Happenings Ten Years Time Ago

Jeff beck either quit or was kicked out depending on the story, leaving Jimmy Page as the lead guitar player.

    The Yardbirds-Shapes of things

Eventually the band self destructed, and Jimmy Page and Chris Dreja were left as the only members, and a list of tour dates, so he hired a unknown singer (Robert Plant) a Drummer (John Bonham). Dreja later quit and they hired a new Bass player (John Paul Jones).

After a short tour as the New Yardbirds, the bands name was changed to Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin - Communication Breakdown (1969)

And you know the rest of the story, Led Zeppelin ruled the 1970's.
