Xmas is a time for people to pretend they're nice and caring, mostly to their friends and family. Then they all go back to being assholes afterward.

Yeah, the holiday has lost a lot of it's meaning, but a lot of good comes from it, too. There are over 365 radio stations playing 24/7 Christmas musc. And though the intentions may be wrong (to make a few extra bucks), the message gets out. Songs like Away in a manger, Silent Night, Noel, etc. all have a very good message behind them.

Plus, Santa is based off of St. Nicholas, who would give gifts to children in his area (can't remember where he was from) in the 4th century.

Remember, though the holiday has become extreamly secular, people are still celebrating the birth of the Christ.

Yes I fully agree with you about this Christmas lie.

Jesus was really angry that people were selling things in the temple, and christmas is not the time for selling and buying things, imo. It's a purely spiritual time. By turning it into a materialistic time we are robbing our kids of spiritual perception and appreciation, imo

Sod Christmas. I can't wait for April 29&1/3rd, the anniversary of the first time Jesus rode on a donkey, which means we all have to go out and buy new cars! Yee-ha!

Then there's Febuary the 5&3/4th, the anniversary of when Jesus first became fully toliet trained which means we all have to wear clothes pegs on our nipples for 24 hours and buy shoes that don't fit! My favorite!

The giving of presents and the christian faith have NOTHING to do with one another. Christmas is a time to celebrate Christ's birth.

Oh Yeah, "Pagan" religions are NOT neccessarily Satanic religions. Pagan religions are religions that focus around nature. Over time, as the catholic church wanted to convert people they twisted the Star of Venus(pentagram) to be the Devil's Mark. The Crane's Hood became the Witch's Cap, and so on....

Everything is demolished when one religion wants to take over. You might wanna read "The Da Vinci Code"; it talks a lot about "pagan" religions.
