With so many people beleiving or not beleiving so many things on this board I am curious to know what everyone thinks about death.

What does death mean to you? Is it the end or the begining?

There is absolutely no way it's the end, there's gotta be something else. I don't know what it is, but I can't grasp a crappy life on earth as being the only thing.

~I was just thinking of this the other night. I think that your soul goes to another dimention. Like a ghost for example. Or, you go back to that stat before you were born. No thoughts, absolute nothingness.

It's the end, there's no light at the end of the tunnel.

I used to think that was it when you died.
But things that have happened over the last couple of months have seriously changed the what I think

It's the big black, kids. Eat well, live well, because you only get one shot at living.

I believe it's the end of you're physical life. I also believe that I will rejoin my family and friends who have gone before me.

Their is something that is not of this world. What I'm not sure of yet but there is defiently something else.

Life is just another form of energy. Energy never dies, it just transforms. Death could very well be the biggest adventure of your life. I don't claim to know where that energy will go, or what it transforms into. One thing I am pretty sure of, you won't retain your consciousness. This whole idea of seeing, or being returned to dead loved ones in heaven rivals that of an imaginative childhood fairy tale.

Death is like pre-birth or when you get knocked unconscious through some means (meaning its not like sleep). You think and know nothing and time does not exist. Its quite lame, but at least you won't know its lame.

There are many many lives before you graduate off the big blue marble too bad we don't remember most of them.

i believe there are many different realms of both heaven and hell in the afterlife and ultimately when we die we gravitate to the realm that best suits our spiritual development or lack therof. i also believe that this life is just one of the many stages in our spiritual journey and that the afterlife is not final and that there are many more stages afterwards when we are done with the afterlife.

I believe that when we are dead,we are without thought or spirit. When God's judgement day arrives, after the second comming of Jesus, the resurrection of our souls will stand before God and we will have to answer for all our deeds on earth.

it's such a sad topic
i'm not saying it's bad, it's very interesting, but sad because, what is life without love? even basic!

there are many versions of after death right?

first of all you have to decide is there actually god? if he is

and you go to hell, you won't see your loved ones for sure!

if there is no god i think, you are just dead that it's it nothing!

the saddest thing is if you morph into something/someone else, and don't remember anyone you loved, i don't know if there were cases of people remembering who they were, but imagine if you remembered and you are dog! ever seen Fluke? when i watch it i always cry!

memories are what makes personalities! memory is everything!

if it was up to me, i'd stay like this for ever!

/is scared

thats what scares me the most, not knowing what happens after you die. I really hope it's not just 'nothing'.. there's got to be something.. there has to be a reason for life.. everything has a reason.. as long as after death, i'll know that i was alive.. i'll be fine. Maybe you can choose to be a ghost, go to heaven, or stay alive but stick with the conditions you'd be in, i.e. paralyzed..

I'd like to be a ghost.

Simple,
Due to our karmic actions in this life, we either leave this cycle of birth and death, or enter the next density.

What if we're just some kind of science experiment done by Aliens? When we die, part of the experiment has failed..
