I'll be honest here as I always try to be. I dont proclaim to like anyone, as a matter of fact I hate everyone equally, but is it just me or have most of the previous posters been missing something?

I understand all you zionists and yanks having no problem with this security pact for it is the yanks that have been dumbed down over the years in regards to the world and the Israelis laugh at the Yanks unconditional support for them no matter what.

I understand the fact that Israelis and Yanks see the Arabs as a threat and a security risk, and I can see this from their point of view.

What I cannot understand is the fact that everyone who supports my comments above fails to understand why we are all in this quagmire in the first place - if it wasnt for the western powers sticking their noses into the middle east in the past, dividing and instigating wars amongst them, shafted potential allies when they were needed most, proping up dictatorial regimes that suit their needs when they need them then executing them when they become a hinderance to changed foreign policy goals, then the Arab peoples would not have anything to complain about and would have been happy going on their merry way living the way they had for centuries.

Yeah, they fight amongst themselves every now and then but it would not have become the problem it is today without the USA and Israeli shafted them on a regular basis.

That, and the amount of UN resolutions that Israel routinely breaks, and the amount of UN condemnation that gets rejected by the United States, put yourselves in the shoes of the people on the other side of the fence who see this all the time and tell me if you would not get frustrated?

I am not taking sides here, but trying to put a perspective on the issue that I hope many of you may take into consideration before making one sided comments.

Why didnt they create Israel in Europe or Americas backyard, but where it is now? It wouldnt have been such a problem it is now if it were elswhere.....or was that the initial goal of the creation of Israel.....to always have a thorn in the Arab side that bites them when the west needs it too and retracts accordingly.

We have so many wise and intelligent people in the world today, that it seems absurd that our world leaders continually are chosen from the bottom of the barrel with no skills in discussion, dialogue, reason, sympathy, compassion and the like.

IMO the Jewish Lobby (among others) has a lot of control over the American government, they pressure the US to go in and remove any threat to Israel. America went into Afghanistan to fight terrorism, then decided to attack Iraq because it was a threat to Israel. I guess they figure a democratic Iraq is better for Israel than one dominated by Saddam. So following that theory the US will likely take some kind of action against Iran, but not necessarily invade like Iraq.

Also, I think it was in Futurama where Israel was the 51st state and Saudi Arabia the 52nd.

Its the new american century,and if thats what its going to be, America needs the oil.
In order to be the dominant force in this world, they need the supply that iraqs reserves promise.
Not only iraqs oil, but saudi and canadian oil too.
between those countries thats at least 50%of known reserves.

it's kind of like the american public doesn't want to believe the power that be in this country caused 9/11 even if it stares them in the face why? because we live with them! they govern us they are supposed to be protectors. and if we believed that we wound still feel in danger. it is a survival mechanism for humans, in order to feel safe. so we change our beliefs and our perceptions and attitudes and again reality has nothing to do with truth, , and the media is only obedient enough to make this easy, same thing with jewish citizens (IMO) not wanting to believe there leaders (elite Zionists) are selling them out again, it is too painful to believe this because they are living with them and in order to function and live happilly they can't believe this at least while living in isreal or with family there, so not only don't we want to believe something but the media helps us perceive a reality not based on truth, but comfort.

Interesting to see the name callers, haters, the uneducated spring out of the woodwork each time a post related to Jews/Israel, Blacks, or Muslims comes up.

I have no doubt that the U.S. can learn a lot from Israel with regard to security (i.e. borders, airport), within reason. Our economy of scale is just so much larger that it would make certain measures impractical that only a much smaller country could successfully achieve.

Of course Israel does receive a huge amount of money from the U.S., most of which is returned to the U.S. in the form of defense contracts (some just consider it U.S. defense industry subsidies).
Not to mention the Evangelical and Conservative Christian support for Israel (the Christian Coalition consists of a large part of the 'Jewish Lobby' and has been pouring HUGE $$ into Israel over the years (my Church has sent money to Israel in the past).
[By the way, most Arab Muslim countries receive monetary aid from the U.S. and some receive BIG $$$ in aid - Egypt for instance has been receiving BILLIONS of $$ from the U.S. for years AND they've been sponsoring Midrasas - THE breeding ground for anti-Christian/Jewish/Free Society bigotry in the Mid-East.]

It's been said that England and Israel are 'States' of the U.S., which is kind of dumb, BUT, time and again, when it all comes down, they both "conform" the the prevailing U.S. policy (despite their own agendas).

I equally despise those religious fanatics who don't happen to "approve" of my free, somewhat materialistic lifestyle, but I also realize that the vast majority of people in every country in the world, regardless of color or religion, are basically good and just want to live out their lives in peace.

According to Rabbi George W. Bush, it's the other way around. The U.S. is the 2nd state of Israel.

As for the topic itself, which airline was the first to have locked and reinforced cockpit doors while most American owned airlines had only curtains? Oh yeah... it was the Israeli one. What a pity it took till after 9/11 for the American owned airlines to realize that the Israelis had a good idea there and maybe we shouldn't allow everyone to wander in to the cockpit.

We all have a lot to learn and people's (including people here) uneducated and ignorant biases should not get in the way of that.

Well Israel had a need for such things. When you go around killing innocent people on a constant basis of course you will need to live like that. If I was a hitman working for the mafia I expect I too would have an excellent security system in my house too if I was worried about vendettas.

Its unfortunate that because we blindly support these deaths and apartheid mistreatment that we too are preparing ourselves to live like they have, rather then being satisfied having curtains instead of reinforced doors. When Israel can take the aid it recieves from us and uses it to push out a people that have lived there for hundreds of years as well as use weapons that we earmark for their defensive purposes as an offensive weapon, without any repurcussions... we will end up being just like them as well as having them as our sole supporters.

If we were fair in our dealings in the ME we would not have to worry about such things and we would get a lot more accomplished as well as being much more prosperous. If Israel was as smart as you would have us believe, they wouldn't need to have such security. They were first in this idea only because this was how they chose to live rather then being fair.
Instead of signing pacts for terrorism ,which they helped to create, with countries thousands of miles away they should be seeking to create pacts
with the neighbors they seek to eject and war with.
