So your telling me that in the summer of temps of around 100 deg. they are wearing this ????

That is good notes from your side...
I do not know if there clothes for winter or for saftey reason..
You can change your winter clothes to summer clothes in five minutes, but the dates palm nature in this area can not be change..

We also see the doctor who is checking saddam with T-shirts at bad weather conditions in Iraq.

If you review the place where they found Saddam you can see the farms near the rever, in these conditions Dates Palm grow fast and in good quality...

Some Iraqi people especially in vallage built a hole in the ground call it serdab as it is natural air conditioner this hole become cold in summer and hot in winter...
So you see the doctor dressing T-Shirt and Saddam dressing heavy clothes...

They are "in uniform" for a combat zone. Sleeves down, always. The weather matters not.

Noticing another anomaly here...

Take a good look at the pick posted by Netchicken ,and yakyaki, notice that they are the same, then look at the last pic posted by BlackJackal, notice that they are not the same...

Notice that the yellow/orage cluster appers to be hanging/drying in BlackJackal's pic, and in Netchicken ,and yakyaki's they do not...

Which one is right ???

Look closer. It is an optical illusion. Look at the rope. There is no weight on the rope at the point where the dates would have to be hanging. The stalk shown in NC and yakyaki's pics just can't been seen in the perspective of BlackJackal's pic.

I'm also noticing in a couple of the pictures that they are wearing field jackets.

The only thing I can add to this thread is that not all fruits and veg are harvested. These are most likely wild which would be left alone apart from individual consumption; much as wild berries in Britain. I'd like to hear more evidence to the negative as it is interesting if at all probable, but it seems to be well accounted for.

is there anything that says this picture was taken during / after saddam's capture?

maybe this was just some stock footage depicting spider holes taken earlier in the year.

maybe a photoshop expert should doctor the photo so a soldier is seen pulling that crazy bearded head of saddam we've all seen repeatedly the last few days, out of the hole. made to look deliberately fake (for humor).

then we'll have us a conspiracy.

I clearly stated, the rope has nothing hanging from it at the point that the dates would have to be hanging. If they aren't hanging on the rope then your theory falls through. Download anything you want, the dates aren't hanging on the rope!

Run away if you so choose. I don't think anybody here is wanting that but possibly you.

Now, I looked at it slightly better than you. There is a little thing called gravity that unless you are in a Wile E. Coyote cartoon you can't disregard. Nothing is "clearly" tied to anything in that picture...and THE ROPE DOES NOT HAVE WEIGHT ON IT where the dates are...almost like PERIOD. It doesn't.

Unless Tikrit is some kind of geographic anomaly that has no gravity effects...then maybe we have a conspiracy. I still say the sausages can tell more.
