What subject brought you to ATS board

During 2003/2004 I was researching how the world works - basically why things suck, how it got to be the thing it was today - in fact I think my first search was 'why is money evil' lol

Anyway, during my education in that period I would find myself landing in ATS on a thread somewhere, I would read what others posted and look at their links, which would send me off for another week or two researching.

I kept landing in ATS (via google searches) so I decided to sign up because of all the bloody adverts! Yeah, I got an account here because of the annoying ads but Im glad because now it looks like Ive been here since 2004, when yeah I have, but I didnt start posting til 2006!

There was another forum I kept landing in, www.libertyforum.org. I was impressed by the frankness yet at the same time repelled by their method of discussion - the unmoderated feel and unchecked thinking. But conversely I didnt like the way ATS over moderated and censored! But it didnt take long for me to appreciate the way ATS is run and now I love it and live here

I somehow ended up here back when Aussie Bloke was going on, and ended up staying as the intelligence and logic of folks on this site was far above other sites. People on here are really able to rip up many conspiracy hoaxes in pretty grand fashion.

I was researching aliens and must have clicked on a link to ATS… I liked the site and decided to stay.

First add Plato,

"Aliens" and UFO's, although I no longer refer to any thing as alien and to any thing as an UFO.

A-ZTS is a great place. I wouldn't be the person I am without it

I found this thread while archiving a few threads and posts. Interesting to see the different reasons from back in 2007! I am really going to miss this place - spent my adulthood here, lurking more than anything with the occasional yearly posting spree. I am so sad its ending, I actually thought ATS would be here after I have gone, not the other way round... and I aint that old! Till we meet again.

Did ATS change your mind about them? I know I got educated on a fair bit on crap I thought was true but found out it wasn't!

Anything conspiracy related. Have always wondered about the universe and what more lies out there. Don't remember how I found this place, was probably 10-15 years ago, but I don't think I would be the same person I am now without it. Definitely grateful.

On a side note, I do know for a fact I didn't come here looking for anything political in any way, shape or form.

Yellowstone earthquake swarms. I saw a very brief news bit on it and started looking for more information. Was led here and have been here since.

Great site and will be sad to see it end. Hope something is done and really wish I was independently wealthy. It has been a great ride.
