Well, it looks like Hillary is running. The article goes on to say that she is going to open up an exploratory committee



Questions I hope this thread addresses is first off, is Hillary the best candidate for the Democratic Party come 08?
Second, is she the best candidate for the country?
Third, if she isn't the best candidate why not?

Personally, I think Hillary is the candidate of the polls, after all, she listens to them and decides her strategy from them. I don't think Hillary would have a backbone if the polls told her not to have one.

Governor Bill Richardsons of MY STATE (New Mexico) is also saying he will run, so who knows. Frankly Hillary is a beurocrat and so is he.

hillary is a joke and all of these liberals always try to sidetrack from real issues or offer bogus solutions to solve social security, medicare and the deficit along with government spending all of which she will not get a grip on, she will also raise taxes on everyone and go after businesses like the liberal she is and expand the government in an attempt to model it after a socialist country.


hillary along with the rest of the liberals are against the fairtax, they have zero clue whats good for this country and people are smart enough to realise this. the libs are going to try and stuff social program aid and handouts to receive votes, they have already been caught lying about fairtax and will do anything to prevent the movement which has democrats and liberals in a panic. for decades the dems have been adding and making as confusing as possible the federal tax code and with fairtax this would eliminate all of their efforts to impose an illegal tax on us which is what they have done for decades.

take a good look at the hypocracy in congress right now, they will be voted out in 2 years you can bet on it with all of the garbage they have done in the last month after the election, they offer no positive solutions and only hurt this country I cannot believe people voted these loons into office however I am glad the money grubbers before them are out, our country really needs libertarian influence.

Remember both sides are two sides of the same coin, and they give a very bad name for liberals, democrats, and even republicans. Go back to when the first liberals, republicans, and democrats were about you will notice a staunch differance between what they were and what they have become. The problems we face are addressed by NO ONE in the government, they all talk fancy about new taxes for business and the like but they FORGET that the business just passes it to the consumer. Want to get the nation out of debt in the economic sector? Get more EXPORTS going! Less imports, more exports. 50/50 ratio is 0 income, 20/80 is a 60% income, 20 cancels out 20 of 80=60% to use however you want wherever you want. I support taking the money making OUT of war, we do NOT want or need corporations running that sector, remember what Dwight D. Eisenhower said about the military industrial complex.
We need LESS beurocracy, not MORE beurocracy which is the ONLY thing BOTH sides offer, either way we get SCREWED.
Hillary will just be used to gain extra votes from women, or they will use Richardson to get the Hispanic vote, then while everyone is silently thinking the nation is going to turn around or are out screaming "yeehaa" in the streets they will stab the nation in the back behind the scenes.

oh yeah I have looked at the history of both republicAN and democrat and the fact is the republican party was formed to counter the democratic racist party who fought tooth and nail in the 1800's to opress blacks and to strip them of their rights, the democratic party is hardly like they used to be because they tranformed from being complete racists to complete socialist.


take a good look at the fairtax congressional scorecard, IMO REAL conservatives and libertarians should be leading this country instead of democrats which will happen eventuallly if democrats dont get on board with fairtax. i'm an independant vekar I dont draw party lines but IMO democrats are worthless and fake and need to be replaced.

As for Clinton, if you look at his foreign policy you will notice a lot of blood money, the guy was horribly corrupt just like the rest only he tried to keep public opinion up. Read this book: The Defence Speaks: president Milosevic, Milosevic gave a rebutle to all that he was accused of and was WINNING, just read what he said that NATO, UN and Clinton was doing to his nation to fuel the fires of war prior to the 1991 invasion. The only reason the war flew was because of the media lying around what was going on. Clinton also did squat to stop corporations from outsourcing, after he left it sped up, the only reason most smile at him is all these "bills" he put forth dealing with enviornement right before he left which Bush Jr. after walking in stomped out quickly.
Dig around and they are all a bunch of:
Beurcatic, ego inflated, double timing, forked tounged, lying, cheating, cowardly, money grubbing, greedy, murderers. Anytime they have had the chance to do good, they have a couple hundred things passed beforehand to minimize things. They pass a wage increase, they sit back and do NOTHING about the corporations passing the wage increase on to the consumer by increasing prices, or by outsourcing even more and hiring illegals.
Hilliary is the same, Richardson is the same, heck in my state he wanted to build 12 SPACE PORTS! Guess what? He claimed it would create around 10,000 jobs for New Mexicans, wrong, most of those employed in my state for such jobs are illegal, the high school in my area hired out a bunch of Mexicans to build the track and football field, lay foundations and settup the bleachers and so on, for track lay the cement, etc then paint it. What Richardson never said was HOW ARE WE GOING TO AFFORD THOSE 12 SPACE PORTS!? The amount of money it takes to send just ONE ship up is a couple million dollars, so building 12 would hurt the state if not bankrupt it entirely (Beyond what is already seen). Also! He never said WHO would be using it... when he gave his speech it was: THIS IS FOR YOU NEW MEXICANS! WRONG! ONLY the RICHEST people in the WORLD can afford it, one ticket was estimated as OVER 2 million dollars at the time. Now they think it might cost 15 million... Yeah that is sure going to help the state! 12 Space ports spewing out high amounts of chemicals from the fuels burned and no one but the rich can use it... That is catering to the elite not helping people. Also the fun thing he never mentioned: who is going to work there? ALSO! WHERE ARE WE GOING TO GET THE FUNDING?! He never mentioned that either... But guess what? It won him the election! Liar and cheat is what he is.
They are ALL liars if you get down too it, that is how the got in and survived the corporations. Like I said they give a bad name for all parties, people are getting to the point they are embarrased to say which party they belong too.

I believe that LEADERS and OFFICIALS for the government (officials such as govoner, senator, congress, reps, etc.) SHOULD NEVER BE VOTED ON BY PARTY! I believe the INDIVIDUAL counts, not the party, what the PERSON will do, not the party. Vote for the MAN/WOMAN not the party. I think the times of parties is long gone, it only sticks around as beurocracy.

uhm everyone knows hillary is a closet liberal/socialist who puts her finger in the air and goes with the wind and plays to the non liberal base, she is putting on a fake front and played politics with her votes for iraq when it was popular in the country and with her stance now that it isnt popular, her little wishy washy hypocrite stance with iraq will make her tolerable for the major democratic base in this country for the dem nomination considering democratic voters have no brains to begin with. she offers no solution for medicare, social security, national securtiy, domestic industry, global trade, outsourcing and the list goes on and on while all of the liberals in her party offer no solutions to americans status 20 years from now and fall in line to stand against fairtax. pro business? if she was pro business she would support fairtax instead of standing in line like a drone to stand against it.


secondly raising peoples crappy pay a couple dollars hardly helps their situation especially when they still get taxed heavily by the government so dont lecture me on helping people get ahead, you obviously dont know anything about what its like out there. I live in california and when i was 18 working in retail I was only making 8 bucks AN HOUR and still could not get a decent check and thats with 40+ hours, life was rough. the solution is to install fairtax, bring back our industry and to halt outsourcing, unleash the american worker and let him/her keep 100% their check and get your boots off of our throats, you socialists.


the minimum wage hike will only halt small business growth which contributes the most to job growth in this country, nice work liberals for making attempts to stump job growth, I guess they want more sheeple crawling at their feet begging for federal and state support, what a joke. I worked for 8 bucks an hour before i got in telecom and making that money while getting taxed like a dog by the government didn't get me anywhere I couldnt even afford my own apartment, how about eliminating the illegal income tax and let me get ahead instead of taking my money like a bunch of crooked socialist?

no it wasn't pointed at you vekar, also going by exact definition is irrelevant, I choose to go by the actions of the parties and where they stand at present not by what they are stated to stand for in the dictionary. I live in california, liberal programs ran this state into debt and recession. liberals and democrats have a history of massive taxation and income redistribution so I will adress them accordingly.

Ape, corporations LEAVE THE USA because they can get cheap labor, allowing them to get it here will undermine the USA's stance, for over 100 years laborers have fought TOOTH AND NAIL to get better wages, removing it will hurt them and you will face the rebrith of unions to fight you. Taxing the bejesus out of imports is what allows USA made goods to stand a chance. Remove the tax, you cannot imagine how bad things will get.
I say get factories built in the USA, the more the merrier, then as corporations try and outsource things slap an insane tax on them. It should work like this:
one pair of USA made shoes: $60.00 USD
one pair of China made shoes: $120.00 USD
We need to get rid of the corporations, not cater to them, I say GET RID OF THEM ALL! They only serve themselves, let us not feed greed but get RID of it.

-TAXING DOMESTIC GOODS but LESS than foreign imports keeps the prices balanced or out of balance as they should be, I GAVE AN EXAMPLE OF THIS!
-REMOVING all taxes or most of them here in the USA will CREATE problems not solve them.
I do not work minimum wage but my parent used too, friends of mine work minimum wage, but not all. Guess what? Even the ones NOT working minimum wage have a hard time! Why? The government removes so many taxes from the elite that they pass it to the rest of us. This increases YOUR taxes, also they need money for their wars, so they increase YOUR taxes and debase YOUR dollar. I already read a link about the "fairtax" which was posted by someone else, forget the name. What I read will not help us but hurt us, corporations leave because they get cheap labor, to get cheap labor here you will have to pay LESS than other nations, or remove taxes as it suggested.
