Rueters is reporting DNA has been confirmed already.

He will be charged will genocide for one probably...

I saw that they somehow already did a DNA test and got a match for Saddam with it. Whatever they used to do the test, its super-fast. This brings even more question as to why Saddam's sons DNA results have taken 5+ months so far without release.

Justice has a political timetable.

Takes a while to do a DNA test.You can't just take a swab and compare.It needs to be done in a lab.

So why were the reports innitially unconfirmed??

Still this is good news for the USA but let's not overplay it's importance in the scheme of things.He was built up artificially as a threat to the USA so it only seems this is a big thing.

Well okay, suppose it's Saddam dressed up as Santa, how can they tell it's really him?? As Fulcrum already stated; This DNA test, IF it's legit, is a quicky. When he was captured early this morning Saddam told the Kurdish soldiers; 'It's me, you've got me'. Now what kind of statement is that, coming out of the mouth of Public Enemy No.2 ???

These initial reports dont tell that there would have been anykind of fight..

And that really dont seem right..

And futhermore i still seriously think that Uday and Qusay are still at large and that they were killed in that raid is load of BS..

If you can find and capture Saddam..

But cant find Osama..

That means that Osama is already dead..

As i would think that Saddam (US intelligence services also think this..) is somewhat better in these hide and seek games that Osama..

I think that Saddam will not be seen any court in anytime soon..

As he could seriously bust UN and US balls over their own lies and crimes..

Like lies about WMDs, and so illegal invasion for oil.. etc..

If Saddam goes to jail so wil Bush and Annan..

Whenever we see Saddam speak, I imagine it will be a very thoroughly broken Saddam parroting whatever anybody wants him to say. Beatings, sodium pentathol, and other techniques I'm sure will make him a very pliable defendant.
